Chapter 2468: Volume 7 Afterword

This volume is likely the longest in the book, excluding the final one. Reaching 500 chapters also exceeded the author's expectations (facepalm), but at least the story of Moon Bay has been told clearly. As usual, a free side story has been updated; please show your support.

Regardless, this volume has finally reached a relatively satisfactory conclusion. The seventh Chosen One has appeared, the conflict between Delarion and Karsinrik has evolved further, and witches from past eras are appearing one after another in the Sixth Era. More crucially, Xia De has stepped into the final ring of the Middle Ring, and the Middle Ring sublimation words will be cast in the next volume.

As for the theme of the next volume, it is "Time."

The final scene of Volume 1: Xia De and the Doctor stand with their backs to a burning building; Xia De looks back, the Doctor bows his head, and the two walk side by side down the street.

The final scene of Volume 2: Looking from a street in the Steam Era toward a second-floor window; in the mist, Xia De gazes into the distance, and the Doctor watches Xia De.

The final scene of Volume 3: A rainy morning; Xia De and the Doctor stand with their backs to the camera, holding umbrellas and looking at a tombstone in the rain.

The final scene of Volume 4: Under a snowy night sky, Xia De and the Doctor stand outside the clock face at the top of the clock tower, looking at the city in the snow; one holds the railing, the other has their arms crossed over their chest.

The final scene of Volume 5: An early spring morning; Xia De and Doctor Shi Nai De sit on a bench outside a sun-drenched church, one reading a newspaper, the other feeding pigeons.

The final scene of Volume 6: A snowy early summer morning at the train station; the Doctor demonstrates "fingertip distance" to Xia De beside the platform, while the locomotive speeding toward him behind him remains as if frozen, snowflakes swirling and hanging in the frame.

The final scene of Volume 7: A sunny midsummer afternoon; at the end of a bridge under busy construction, a hundred meters above the river, the Doctor stands and reaches out to grasp the light, while Xia De sits and reaches out to stroke the cat.

The adventure in Moon Bay is over. In the next volume, Xia De will explore a forest town in the Karsinrik interior, filled with secrets and legends. Amidst the town's stories of joy and sorrow and various irrational events, he will explore the mysteries of time.

As always, new witches will appear in the next volume, and past characters will, of course, have their own stories. Priest Ao Gu Si's inner knot has temporarily come to an end, and the Doctor, entrusted by Xia De to investigate "cats and dogs," seems to have made some discoveries. Duo Luo Qian and Princess Lei Qianya were normal during their time in Moon Bay, but time will pose new questions. And then there is Lu Weiya, that daughter who destroys time; time will treat everyone who tries to toy with it equally.

Additionally, the "Knight and Maid" secret rendezvous story that appears in every volume is not gone; it has been moved to the beginning of the next volume. Wait a few chapters; the author hasn't forgotten.

The mysterious disappearance of Miss Dan Ni Si Te's teacher, the "Desire" relic's strange missing-person commission, the big trouble for the elf who awakened the talent for time, the ancient and profound secrets of the forest town, the final choice forced upon long-haired Lu Weiya, and Yi Lu Na's determination to save the World Tree—these will continue to be revealed.

The story remains exciting; please continue to support it, and I also welcome opinions and suggestions from readers of the official version.

The story enters its eighth volume. The story of "Whispering Poetry" (also known as "Detective Knight Chronicles" and "Sword of the Silver Moon") will continue, and after 【Light】, please look forward to the eighth chapter, 【Until the End of Time】.
