Chapter 3839: A Busy Afternoon
Seeing Sylvia make such a gesture, Xia De asked with a smile:
"Are you sure? Last night, you fell asleep in half an hour."
Sylvia thought of last night's events; the witch, having just tasted the delicious flavor of the little snack, had naturally gone to Xia De's room again, but because she was a bit too excited, her performance had not been very good.
Blushing, she defended herself:
"Megan had experience; I will train it out too... How can I know without trying?"
But this time, having used only twenty minutes and feeling like she had turned into playdough for Xia De to knead, Sylvia pushed him away:
"I can't go on... My condition is not good today; fishing just now was too tiring, and the temperature in this room is too low."
She defended herself, pushing Xia De toward the washroom:
"Go see the others; I think I need to take a nap."
Saying this, she actually fell asleep on the bed; thus, five minutes later, Miss Haley Aphrola, whom Xia De had come to find after washing up, entered the room after knocking carefully.
The scent in the room made her blush and her heart race—although she did not know what this meant—and the sight of her teacher, covered by a blanket in the warm room at this moment, made her cover her mouth and let out a small scream.
This sound woke the lightly sleeping Sylvia; as she sat up, the blanket slid from her smooth skin, allowing little Miss Aphrola to see even more:
"Teacher, are you alright?"
Sylvia was not panicked; such a thing, the apprentice would surely know sooner or later:
"Xia De has already left, hasn't he? Help me to the washroom."
"Yes, Teacher... Are you okay?"
The witch apprentice was uneasy.
"It's fine; the witch's curse has absolutely no effect on Xia De. Just now, I was thoroughly displaying the witch's charm; Xia De was completely bewitched by me~"
But the young brunette Miss felt her teacher seemed to have said it backwards.
And after leaving Sylvia, Xia De heard the voices of Vanessa and Flora talking in the corridor again. Following the sound, he came to the lounge upstairs from the banquet hall, and saw the three Misses in front of and behind the easel in the lounge.
Hilary looked helplessly at Vanessa and Flora "bargaining"; currently, the price Vanessa offered was that the clothing could be less, but the bottom and top must be complete, and could even be the kind of clothing that saves the most fabric brought by Sylvia.
And the view of the "Nude Painter" was that arms could be used to cover, but clothing absolutely could not exist.
"What are you talking about? Why are you all wearing swimsuits? Did you just come back from the pool?"
Xia De stood at the door and asked curiously; Vanessa immediately closed her mouth, while Flora, with a head of grey-black long hair, pointed at the easel:
"Vanessa wants me to paint an oil painting for her and Hilary; I said Hilary could directly write out the memory from her mind, which is much faster than my painting."
She had originally just made an excuse, but unexpectedly, Vanessa blinked her eyes:
"That's right."
Thus, the blonde female opera singer said to her colleague:
"Alright then, Flora, you are not needed here; go play with Ellie and little Liana."
"You really are... Wait, you seem to have mistaken me for the same as those two unicorns."
Although she said this, Flora, who was curious about what the little unicorns looked like now, still hurriedly left the room, but before leaving, she kissed Xia De's side of the face at the door, gave Vanessa a provocative look, and then entered the corridor.
Hilary then said with a smile:
"Just now, Flora said she wanted to paint a nude oil painting for us; Vanessa only wanted to record this swimsuit."
"I knew you would say anything in front of Xia De."
Vanessa complained to her friend, then looked at the corridor behind Xia De, and only then proposed:
"So, Xia De, do you want to paint?"
"Huh? Paint what?"
The blonde witch in the swimsuit spun around on the spot and said with a smile:
"The... very beautiful thing we didn't let Flora paint just now."
Now it was Hilary's turn to blush, but she only complained quietly and did not speak out in opposition.
Xia De thought again of when he had painted on this ship before; only back then, the girl who was painted had now become the owner of this ship.
"Vanessa, Hilary, I admit I really want to do this, but the problem is, I cannot paint."
Although it was Xia De who painted in the "Sea of No Light" back then, he was being controlled.
Vanessa naturally knew Xia De could not paint; if she took off her clothes and Xia De really went to paint, then she would be unhappy.
"Then don't paint; just let you appreciate it, how about that?"
She beckoned to Xia De with a finger, revealing a seductive expression on her face.
Hilary then said with a smile:
"I give you half an hour, Vanessa; don't go too far."
"Hilary, how about..."
"Vanessa, what I want is not half an hour."
The young blonde Miss said this, then walked to the door, and at the door kissed Xia De passionately for a long time, before generously closing the door and leaving.
The witch, also blonde but more mature, then pouted and complained:
"Hilary is really something; she doesn't want to participate herself, yet insists on taking the first bite."
"I have always been curious; is comparing me to a little snack a shared strange hobby of yours?"
Vanessa reached her hand behind her back to undo the laces; as the clothes fell to the ground, she slightly lifted her neck:
"So, Xia De, do you want to come eat the big snack now?"
The afternoon tea snacks were very delicious; although there was only half an hour, Vanessa's hospitality was quite good.
Xia De's next stop was the hot spring; in such a luxury cruise ship, having a separate hot spring cabin was normal, after all, this ship even had an opera hall.
And those soaking in the hot spring this afternoon were mostly girls of age... relatively more mature. Unlike girls around seventeen or eighteen or around twenty who wanted to draw a perfect conclusion to this winter, Miss Jia Lin Na temporarily only wanted to close her eyes and pass this afternoon peacefully after tiring political activities.
However, after Xia De appeared, she immediately pulled Xia De's hand to let him into the water, and then, disregarding the gazes of the other girls present, leaned directly into Xia De's arms:
"Truly unfair."
"What is unfair?"
Xia De thought she had learned of what just happened, but who knew the Duchess reached out and poked the water sphere beside her, causing the black-haired Head Maid to nearly cry out.
"It is this that is unfair."
Xia De did not know how to comfort her, so while holding her, he cast an apologetic glance toward Xiang Miss Difa. The ever-graceful Head Maid naturally did not mind her mistress's occasional willfulness; she merely smiled gently at Xia De, then meaningfully parted her red lips slightly.
Jia Lin Na almost immediately sensed someone's change:
"Really, is my charm that great?"
She said softly, then pulled Xia De up from the hot spring:
"I feel a bit dizzy from soaking; let's go out for a walk. Miss Miss Difa, you need not follow; I will probably..."
"Half an hour?"
Xia De asked tentatively, and Jia Lin Na nodded immediately:
"Yes, half an hour."
"Jia Lin Na, I think forty minutes would be better. I will accompany you both to relax, and I can report to Xia De on the current spatial conditions of the Snow Mountain."
Sylvie, who had been silent until now, also stood up. The two Great Witches exchanged glances to confirm their thoughts aligned, then took Xia De's arms on either side and left the area.
They were indeed punctual; saying forty minutes, they indeed returned together after forty minutes.
"Young Lady, did Xia De not return with you?"
As they comfortably entered the hot spring together, Miss Miss Difa asked. Although illusions concealed certain marks on their skin, the Head Maid still smelled the familiar scent at close range.
Jia Lin Na, thoroughly relaxed, replied:
"He was originally going to return with us, but on the way we met Megan and Audrey; they said they had some matters to discuss with Xia De and pulled him away."
The Head Maid thus kindly reminded:
"Young Lady, were you not planning a lavish late-night meal tonight? If you ate too much this afternoon, will there not be enough for the late-night meal~"
She was somewhat worried about Xia De, but the maids were merely tasting small snacks; the Witches were the ones truly sampling the main course. Sylvie was in high spirits at this moment, so she chimed in:
"No need to worry about that; the kitchen's preparations are quite sufficient. With just us, even eating freely, we simply cannot finish it all~"
Thus Xia De was not idle for the entire afternoon, and by the time he emerged from the room with Megan and Audrey, it was nearly dinner time.
Dinner was creatively arranged on the deck. Miss Elise cast a spell to form an eggshell shield of transparent barriers on the deck to block the cold air, then adjusted the temperature on the deck to a level suitable for appearing in evening gowns.
The deck was very large; therefore, besides the long table placed at the very center for Xia De and the important Young Ladies to sit, other tables and chairs were arranged for the Witch followers to take their seats.
Sylvie generously arranged the contents of the banquet, while Xia De cast a spell to make the starlight and moonlight overhead brighter. Plus, with golden candelabras placed among the silver and gold tableware on the long table, although there were no gas lamps, the light here was sufficient.
"Very romantic."
Princess Lei Lei Qianya said, elegantly handling the lobster with knife and fork. The outdoor air was fine, with the galaxy right overhead; Her Highness was also enchanted by the comfort of tonight:
"Perhaps such a victory banquet could become the norm thereafter."
Xia De had no objection to this; he was currently cutting the squid tentacles on his plate, which were said to be large squid caught from the deep sea by the Mermaid Young Ladies. He then placed a small piece onto the plate of the obediently squatting Mia on his left, and another small piece onto the plate of Ellie, who sat on a high stool leaning against his right side.
The cat, which did not much like fish, sniffed, lowered its head, and swallowed it. Ellie, whose white napkin had been tied by Amelia, reached out to grab it, hesitated, then picked up the fork, chewed the squid tentacle twice, and extended the fork toward the apple crumble placed as decoration beside the plate of squid tentacles.
