Chapter 128

:

On a certain mountain peak of the Profound Heaven Sect, the leaders of the Five Great Immortal Sects gathered here.

This mountain peak was extremely mysterious; those who were not high-level members of the Profound Heaven Sect were not qualified to know about it.

The four leaders sat quietly, waiting for the organizer of this meeting to speak.

Sensing that everyone had arrived, Yun Zhi woke up from her epiphany and opened her eyes. In her eyes, there seemed to be thousands of worlds, countless time and space, extremely profound. The other four met Yun Zhi's gaze and were momentarily dazed.

They were shocked in their hearts. They hadn't seen Yun Zhi for several years. Several years ago, Yun Zhi already gave them a feeling of being unfathomable. They didn't expect that after several years, this feeling would be even stronger than before.

The Profound Heaven Sect didn't know what kind of luck they had to be able to recruit such a genius.

And she was also the disciple of that old bastard, Daoist Wu Yu.

However, Yun Zhi's profound cultivation was a good thing for them. The Great Era was coming, spiritual energy was abundant, the Great Dao was revealed, the Demon Sect was causing chaos, powerful beings who had slept for hundreds of thousands of years were waking up, and legendary immortals were gradually surfacing.

It was imaginable that powerful beings and immortals would not honestly abide by the current rules and would definitely redefine order and divide territory according to their own wishes. This was a tribulation for both mortals and cultivators.

Cultivation powerhouses had already awakened, wanting to stir up trouble in the Central Continent, but they were killed by the joint efforts of the Five Great Immortal Sects before they could gain momentum.

Not all immortals were as carefree and content as the Decayed Fairy.

Not to mention anything else, the ancient Nameless One who refined stars into a continent was a tough nut to crack.

Under these circumstances, the stronger the Five Great Immortal Sects were, the more likely they were to resist the great disasters that would occur in the future.

Yun Zhi spoke indifferently: "I summoned everyone here today because I have obtained some information about the Demon Sect to share with you all."

The four felt a chill in their hearts. No wonder Yun Zhi didn't use conventional means like sound transmission, but invited them to arrive in person and gather at the secret mountain peak of the Profound Heaven Sect.

This secret mountain peak was blessed by the sages of the Profound Heaven Sect through the ages and had also been modified by Yun Zhi, capable of shielding heavenly secrets, covering up karma, and fearing no leaks.

Although the Demon Sect's strength was not strong, they believed in immortals and had obtained many immortal treasures and immortal arts from them. Immortal treasures and immortal arts were hard to guard against and needed to be treated with caution.

"As you all know, more than a month ago, I broke into the headquarters of the Decayed Sect and obtained some information. Among them, two pieces of information are worth noting: one is knowing the method to resurrect the Decayed Immortal, and the second is knowing about 'undercover agents'."

The four sat up slightly. Resurrecting an immortal—this was incredible information.

Speaking of which, they had long heard that Yun Zhi had destroyed the nest of the Decayed Sect, but they never knew how she found it.

"The Dao Fruit of the Decayed Immortal is very special. Even if he completely perishes and his soul scatters, as long as someone utters his title and immortal name, whether intentionally or unintentionally, he can be resurrected!"

The four felt as if a thunderbolt had exploded in their hearts. Indeed, none of the immortal Dao Fruits were simple. The immortal Dao Fruits they had mastered in the past were all related to enhancing combat power. This was the first time they had encountered a Dao Fruit purely for survival.

"The information also says that the Decayed Sect has planted undercover agents in the Moon Laurel Xiangong, the Prison Suppressing Sect, and the Five Elements Sect."

In fact, this was not information obtained from the headquarters of the Decayed Sect, but information Lu Yang obtained from the Inspector Tang Yunsheng.

When Tang Yunsheng arranged the undercover mission for the three of Lu Yang, he said that among the Five Great Immortal Sects, except for the Hanging Temple which had few people, and the Profound Heaven Sect which had many lunatics and couldn't be infiltrated, the other three sects all had undercover agents.

The Five Great Immortal Sects are: the Profound Heaven Sect, known for its Daoist methods and wild imagination, which the other four immortal sects warn their juniors not to approach.

The Hanging Temple, which is compassionate and saves the world, and although it had only two people—master and disciple—at its smallest, it is powerful.

The Moon Laurel Xiangong, which believes that the moon hides unspeakable secrets, cultivates with the help of the moon, and is covered with moon laurel trees.

The Prison Suppressing Sect, which suppresses all demons and monsters.

The Five Elements Sect, which believes in the unity of the five elements and masters the ultimate principles of the five elements.

The other four immortal sects think the Profound Heaven Sect is incompatible with them.

The Profound Heaven Sect thinks the other four immortal sects are incompatible with it.

Setting aside the incompatibility, the relationship between the Five Great Immortal Sects was still very good.

"So it was about undercover agents." The Palace Master of the Moon Laurel Xiangong was not surprised; she was Seeing Lan Ting's master, and Seeing Lan Ting had told her some things.

"Amitabha." The Abbot of the Hanging Temple didn't say much. Their Hanging Temple had no Demon Sect undercover agents. Having few people was one aspect; the other was that their beliefs were different. People in the Demon Sect chanted scriptures and kept precepts all day long, and their Dao hearts would collapse sooner or later, making it too easy to reveal flaws.

"I didn't expect that my Prison Suppressing Sect advocates suppressing all evil ways, but in the end, the Decayed Sect has infiltrated my sect. I must investigate strictly when I go back!" The Sect Master of the Prison Suppressing Sect was furious, but considering the occasion, he didn't show it too much.

"Since there are undercover agents, there must be more than just the Decayed Sect. Other Demon Sect undercover agents might also be lurking, so we must investigate carefully." The Sect Master of the Five Elements Sect had cold eyes. The Demon Sect was truly bold; they simply didn't take their Five Elements Sect seriously.

"Then how should we investigate the undercover agents?" asked the Palace Master of the Moon Laurel Xiangong.

"Doesn't the Decayed Sect believe in the Decayed Immortal? How about we let the disciples shout together, 'The Decayed Immortal is a bastard'?" suggested the Sect Master of the Five Elements Sect.

The four nodded one after another, thinking this was a good idea.

The Sect Master of the Prison Suppressing Sect said: "There is another way. We must all have some suspect lists. We can say to those on the suspect list, 'The Sect Master has uttered the immortal name of the Decayed Immortal, the Decayed Immortal has been resurrected, and the Sect Master demands all believers to gather at the headquarters'."

The righteous path doesn't know the method to resurrect the Decayed Immortal. If the Decayed Sect undercover agents hear this, they will most likely think the other party is a believer of the Decayed Sect.

Yun Zhi shook her head: "This will alert the enemy. The suspect list includes not only Decayed Sect undercover agents but also undercover agents from the other three sects. If the other three sects hear you say this, they will definitely know you are investigating undercover agents."

The Sect Master of the Prison Suppressing Sect felt that Yun Zhi made sense and didn't make any more suggestions.

"By the way, doesn't the Profound Heaven Sect have no undercover agents? I wonder if Fellow Daoist Yun Zhi can share some insights?" said the Sect Master of the Five Elements Sect, winning the agreement of the other three.

Yun Zhi frowned rarely. This question stumped her. She didn't know why the Profound Heaven Sect not only had no Demon Sect undercover agents but could instead go to the Demon Sect to be undercover agents.

"Perhaps it's because the disciples of my Profound Heaven Sect have simple minds, while the Demon Sect believers have complex thoughts and cannot disguise themselves as disciples of my Profound Heaven Sect."

The five thought of many insidious ways to investigate undercover agents, among which the Abbot of the Hanging Temple was the most ruthless. If these methods were made public, the world's impression of the five would have a 180-degree turn.

After the secret meeting ended, all five left the mountain peak, three of whom left the Profound Heaven Sect, and only the Palace Master of the Moon Laurel Xiangong stayed behind.

"I wonder what Palace Master Luo has in mind?" asked Yun Zhi. The Palace Master of the Moon Laurel Xiangong was named Luo Hongxia.

Luo Hongxia called over Seeing Lan Ting, who was unwilling to come: "Does your Profound Heaven Sect have a disciple named Lu Yang? I have something to find him for. My Seeing Lan Ting was such a good child, but he was led astray by him. I want him to compensate!"

Yun Zhi said calmly: "Then why not let the two become Dao companions?"

Luo Hongxia's expression stiffened.
