Chapter 1025

"Battle." You Xuan said, "Abyss Soldier, attack Zone—I mean, the fake Zone—directly!"

Abyss Soldier's body flew across the starry sky like a swimming fish, and the trident, wrapped in water, stabbed straight at the opponent's location.

The latter lost the Timelord defense line, and the whole field was blank, but after all, he wouldn't let You Xuan's attack pass so easily. Seeing the opponent's mechanical arm sweep, he threw another card directly from his hand. The card landed directly in mid-air, projecting a noble and elegant High Priestess, and the High Priestess danced with a golden scepter in her hand.

"Trap Card 'High Priestess's Scepter'!" Zone said in a low voice, "This card can be activated from the hand when there are no monsters on your field."

"The attack of one of the opponent's monsters is negated, and the opponent is dealt 500 points of damage." (Original card)

Activating a trap directly from the hand, the divine light released by the scepter formed a barrier to block Abyss Soldier's attack. The trident hit the invisible barrier, and the rebounding electric current passed through Abyss Soldier and back to You Xuan.

【You Xuan, LP 4000 -> LP 3500】

"Haha, even if the Timelord is solved, I'm still at a disadvantage in battle. Not bad, not bad. It looks a bit like Zone."

You Xuan said in a light tone.

"Then set one card, turn end."

The fake Zone had no reaction to the mocking praise, just calmly analyzing the situation.

With the bounce-back ability of Abyss Soldier, it is hard to imagine that choosing such a monster is just a coincidence for someone like Fujiki Youxuan. He must assume that this monster was specifically chosen by the opponent to target his Timelords.

The fake Zone narrowed his eyes slightly.

"Good thinking. But if you think the power of the Timelords is only to this extent, then you are very wrong."

"My turn, draw."

He manipulated the mechanical arm, and his thick fingers drew another card.

"Activate the set card, Continuous Trap 'Empty Machine'!"

A huge ring appeared in front of the fake Zone as the trap was activated, like a single eye, but the ring seemed to contain an infinite world.

"The effect of Empty Machine: when there are no monsters on your field, you can Tribute Summon a monster of level 10 or higher from your hand without Tributing."

The fake Zone paused.

"But as a cost, the ATK of all monsters on your field becomes 0."

Empty Machine, one of the three infinite traps derived from the Timelords. This card has also been released as a physical card, but the effect of the physical card has changed significantly compared to the original version. Except for the same card name, there is almost no similarity.

"Because Empty Machine is on the field, I can summon a new Timelord from my hand without Tributing."

The fake Zone held up another card in his hand.

"Descend!"

"Lazion, the Timelord!!!"

A scorching red crack suddenly split in time and space, and accompanied by the roar of gears meshing, a new Timelord stepped on the burning torrent of time and descended to the battlefield. Its body, cast from dark red metal, radiated a red luster, and eternal flames burned on its shoulder armor, as if swaying in the high-altitude gale. The face of an old man with a beard was sealed in the crystal-like structure on its chest, and those eyes that could see through the past and present were staring at the present world through the crystal, making everyone who looked directly at it hold their breath involuntarily.

【Lazion, the Timelord, ATK 0】

"Here it comes again, a new Timelord." You Xuan narrowed his eyes.

"The power of the Timelords is infinite." The fake Zone said lightly, "You seem to know something about the Timelords and have prepared countermeasures. But those little tricks won't defeat the Timelords."

He said, sweeping his mechanical arm. "Lazion, the Timelord, attack 'Abyss Soldier'!"

Although the ATK was zero, the moment Lazion threw a punch, it seemed to have a power that could shake the sky and the earth. The divine power seemed to turn into a tangible sea of fire, rushing towards Abyss Soldier like a landslide.

"Although the ATK is 0 and it won't cause battle damage, each has different effects that activate at the end of the Battle Phase after battle, right?"

You Xuan shook his head.

"Do you mind reminding me what happens after Lazion battles?"

After all, there are eleven Timelords, and You Xuan only remembered their general effects. Besides that, he only remembered that these Timelords seemed to have effects like bouncing all monsters on the field, bouncing all magic and traps on the field, or bouncing cards in the Graveyard, but he couldn't remember exactly which Timelord had which effect.

The fake Zone said: "It doesn't matter if I tell you. The effect of Lazion, the Timelord is: when this card battles, at the end of the Battle Phase, all monsters on the opponent's field and all cards in the Graveyard are returned to the owner's deck and shuffled!" (Original effect)

The physical card was weakened, and it could only shuffle the opponent's Graveyard cards back, far less tough than the anime version.

"Clearing the field and also banishing the opponent's Graveyard, what an excessive effect."

You Xuan clicked his tongue, but then smiled.

"Then I can't let you pass like that."

"Activate the set card, Continuous Trap 'Gravity Bind'!"

The golden partner of Abyss Soldier that You Xuan had used since the early days, Gravity Bind, was activated. Once it took effect, a transparent gravity wave immediately swept across the field, as if invisible shackles suppressed the arrogant Timelord.

Even a Timelord seemed unable to move under this gravity wave and had to stop its attack.

"Gravity Bind prevents monsters of level 4 or higher from attacking." You Xuan said, "All Timelords are level 10, right?"

"And it seems to be a coincidence that all Timelords can only activate their effects at the 'end of the Battle Phase after battle', right?"

Fake Zone: "..."

What You Xuan said was not false at all.

No battle damage, cannot be destroyed, and violent field clearing after battle. Such a powerful Timelord seems invincible at first glance, but it is countered by You Xuan's ancient top-tier deck based on the Abyss.

The destruction resistance of the Timelords is meaningless in front of Abyss Soldier, who is good at bouncing, and a Gravity Bind can directly lock the attacks of all Timelords in the deck, which can be said to be the worst combination for the Timelords.

"... Set three cards, turn end." The fake Zone said gloomily.

There was nothing else he could do.

However, at least Abyss Soldier itself is also a 4-star monster and must be restricted by Gravity Bind. So at this stage, although this lineup is a bit disgusting, both sides are still in a staring stage, just stuck in a stalemate.

You Xuan: "My turn, draw."

"At this moment, the other effect of Lazion, the Timelord is activated." The fake Zone shouted, "When the opponent draws a card during the Draw Phase, deal 1000 points of damage to the opponent!"

He waved his mechanical arm again, and Lazion's whole body ignited with flames again.

"Time Judgment!"
