Chapter 1148: Heraldry Crest's Nemesis

"Golden Cabinet?"

Faker was puzzled, and at the same time, he became vigilant; some kind of dangerous instinct of Heraldry Crest was reminding him that this cabinet seemed extremely dangerous.

"Light of the Golden Cabinet is, as long as it exists on the field, you can get any 'Light of the Golden Cabinet' related card from the deck to your hand once per turn."

The gilded cabinet lid made a humming sound of ancient mechanisms starting. The moment the gap cracked to the thickness of a hair, the boiling flood of light erupted. That light had substance, scorching the air into ripples, condensing into the outline of a card made of pure light, with liquid gold-like sparks continuing to peel off the edges.

"I add the Golden Cabinet related Magic card, 'Partner's Bond', from the deck to the hand."

Fujiki You Xuan showed the Magic card in his hand.

"Then Magic card 'Partner's Bond' activates!

Can only be activated when 'Light of the Golden Cabinet' and a Golden Cabinet related monster exist on your field at the same time.

Special Summon up to two Level 4 or lower monsters with 'Light of the Golden Cabinet' in their name from your hand or deck!"

At this time, both "Light of the Golden Cabinet" and the Golden Cabinet limited edition Dark Magician Girl existed on the field, satisfying the activation conditions. Fujiki You Xuan's Magic card was inserted into the Duel Disk, as if the white magic light flow instantly flowed through the entire Duel Disk along the veins. Two white lights flew out from the gap of the Golden Cabinet together.

The first one streaked across the sky like a comet and fell vertically to the ground. Red, green, and yellow streams of light spiraled up from the ground cracks, condensing into a precision-meshing mechanical life form in the clanging metal collision sound. The red gear's bearings sprayed steam, electricity jumped between the green gear's sawteeth, and the yellow gear made a crisp metal joint friction sound when it punched out.

【Trio Gadget, ATK 1300】

The second white light was as soft as a moonlight veil, and when it drifted down, it brought the fragrance of lily of the valley. The silver-haired girl poked her head out from the light cocoon, her overly long magic robe hem flowing with stardust, and every breath had tiny runes drifting from the tips of her hair. When those eyes with silver-blue different-colored pupils looked over, it was as if the galaxy had frozen in her gem-like pupils.

【Silent Magician - Zero, ATK 1000】

Fujiki You Xuan: "Special Summon 'Trio Gadget' and 'Silent Magician - Zero' from the deck respectively."

Both were ancient main forces of Yugi Muto, the Gadget series and the upgraded form of Silent Magician.

"Then it's the monster effect of 'Trio Gadget'." Fujiki You Xuan continued. "When these three-color gears are successfully summoned, you can further add a 'Light of the Golden Cabinet' related Magic or Trap card from the deck to the hand."

Another card popped out of the deck, and Fujiki You Xuan casually drew it into his hand, showing the Magic card.

"Add Quick-Play Magic 'Silence Toward the Future' from the deck to the hand!"

A series of operations and consecutive legendary monsters appearing made Faker feel a bit irritable for no reason. However, he quickly suppressed the inexplicable emotion in his heart.

Calm down, no matter how many operations the other party has, they are all ineffective. His Heraldry Crest is nearly invincible, doesn't accept card effects, and can even absorb the opponent's ATK when attacked. Although he doesn't understand what the other party is planning with this series of operations, any monster cannot defeat Heraldry Crest.

"Then Set two cards to the back row."

Fujiki You Xuan Set two more cards.

"Then battle. Use 'Silent Magician - Zero' to attack 'No. 53 Heraldry Crest'!"

The silver-white hair rose with the movement of turning, and the girl's slender fingers nimbly spun the short staff decorated with stars and moons. Where the staff tip passed, pearl-colored light traces were left in the air; these light traces were drawn to the center by an invisible hand, first light spots the size of fireflies, then expanding into light balls the size of fists, with liquid diamond-like ripples flowing on the surface.

"Hey, sure enough, it attacked, an attack within expectation!" Dr. Faker laughed loudly. "At this moment, the effect of 'No. 53 Heraldry Crest' is also triggered!

Heraldry Crest can select a monster from your Graveyard to equip to itself once per turn when attacked!

I equip 'Junk Puppet' from my Graveyard to Heraldry Crest!" The vortex of the Graveyard opened, and energy tentacles bound Junk Puppet from the Graveyard, seemingly absorbed as part of Heraldry Crest, transforming into Heraldry Crest's power.

"Heraldry Crest in the equipped state can absorb the original ATK of the opponent's attacking monster!" Faker said loudly. "Therefore, Heraldry Crest gains the ATK of 'Silent Magician - Zero'!

Counter-kill the pitiful little magic girl for me!"

【No. 53 Heraldry Crest, ATK 100 -> ATK 1100】

"Within expectation." Fujiki You Xuan smiled. "Chain to Heraldry Crest's effect, activate the Quick-Play Magic 'Silence Toward the Future' just searched!"

The Magic card with the Silent Magician card art appeared in Fujiki You Xuan's back row.

"This card can add 'Light of the Golden Cabinet' related monsters from the deck to the hand after activation. If 'Light of the Golden Cabinet' and Golden Cabinet monsters exist on the field, and it is activated

The moment the spell took effect, the cards at the top of both players' decks lit up with white light under the attachment of magic power. Fika drew a card along with Fujiki You Xuan and chuckled: "I wondered what it was; even the draw effect can't save your cute little magician girl."

"Not at all, watch closely," Fujiki You Xuan retorted with a smile.

【Silent Magician Zero, ATK 1000 → ATK 2500】

Fika: "The attack power increased?"

"That's right. Silent Magician Zero, every time the opponent draws a card, she gains 1 level for each card the opponent draws."

"And her attack power will increase by 500 points with every level increase."

"Is this the purpose of making me draw cards?" Fika realized, but immediately said, "But your 'Silent to the Future' chain was activated after Pseudo-God Heart-eartH, and the effect activated later is processed first."

"Therefore, after your Silent Magician's attack power increases, my Heart-eartH will further increase by the attack power gained by Silent Magician! No matter how strong you become, Heart-eartH will always be above you, hahaha—"

Fujiki You Xuan narrowed his eyes, looking at this middle-aged man who didn't know if he was playing dumb to try and bluff or was truly foolish: "I'm telling you, didn't you look clearly at the effect of your Heart-eartH, uncle?"

Fika: "Huh?"

"The effect of Heart-eartH is that it can gain the value of the opponent's monster's 'original attack power'," Fujiki You Xuan said, "but the effect boost of Silent Magician does not count as 'original attack power'."

Fika: "!"

In other words, no matter how much Silent Magician boosts through her own effect, her original attack power remains only 1000; Heart-eartH can only absorb 1000 points of attack power from her.

【Silent Magician Zero, ATK 2500】

【No. 53 Pseudo-God Heart-eartH, ATK 1100】

The brawler king, unaffected by any card effects and always 100 points higher than the opponent's attack power in any battle, the seemingly invincible Heart-eartH realized at this moment that the silent mage before it seemed to be exactly its natural enemy.
