Chapter 1173: Undead

"Duel Champion!?"

Yuma's gaze toward Fujiki You Xuan became filled with awe upon hearing this.

After all, Yuma's biggest dream was to become the Duel Champion, so if that were the case, this person in front of him would be equivalent to an idol to Yuma.

Of course, although Yuma still hadn't won the title of Duel Champion by the end of the anime, judging by his experiences in the anime and the card games he had won, he had probably long since surpassed the realm of a mere champion.

Although the story of ZEXAL never mentioned who the champion of this worldview was, one would think that even a champion probably wasn't as good as Don Thousand. After all, the card games in the later stages of the anime had already reached a world-destroying level.

"I'll go first, draw." Fujiki You Xuan said.

He knew that Kagurazaka was being manipulated at this time; there was a similar situation in the ZEXAL anime. An originally passerby-level extra was manipulated by a Barian, instantly becoming a small BOSS-level player. Not only that, but the decks they originally used might also change, especially since there would definitely be that card symbolizing Barian power.

Rank-Up-Magic - Barian's Force, ranking up Xyz monsters to obtain the chaos power representing Barian.

So naturally, what the manipulated person used would also be an Xyz deck. Therefore, Fujiki You Xuan knew that even though he seemed to be facing Kagurazaka, the one actually playing was the Barian behind the scenes. The deck the other side used was also likely not Kagurazaka's original deck.

Unable to determine what tactics the other side would use for the time being, he would observe for a moment and collect some information.

"Normal Summon 'Zombie Master' from my hand."

Fujiki You Xuan slapped a monster card from his hand onto the duel disk, and a new Zombie monster was summoned through the activation of the duel disk's image system.

Silver hair fluttered, and pale fingers reached out from the emerging monster card. When the Banshee floated out, transparent ghosts wrapped around her body, and ghostly blue phosphorus fire burned coldly. She hovered in the air with bare feet, wearing a white dress that was almost transparent.

【Zombie Master, ATK 1800】

"Set one card, turn end." Fujiki You Xuan said.

"My turn, draw."

After Kagurazaka drew, he first glanced at the card he drew, added it to his hand, and then sneered at Fujiki You Xuan.

"Those incompetent humans who previously received Barian's gifts have been defeated one after another in this dimension; I'll see for myself what is so special about this world."

"Activate the Spell Card 'Card Destruction', both sides discard all cards in their hands, then draw the same number of cards from their decks!"

Fujiki You Xuan glanced at the remaining cards in his hand and discarded them into the Graveyard with the other side without saying much.

"Next, activate the Spell Card 'Warrior Returning Alive'." Kagurazaka said, "You can return a Warrior-type monster from the Graveyard to your hand."

Fujiki You Xuan raised his eyebrows: "Oh, the Warrior-type you just discarded is going to be retrieved immediately; you really have a fickle temperament."

Kagurazaka snorted and said: "I'll return the Warrior-type monster 'Marauding Captain' from the Graveyard to my hand."

Fujiki You Xuan changed the subject and laughed: "Well, but will things go so smoothly?"

"What?"

"The moment you activated 'Warrior Returning Alive', the effect of Zombie Master activated." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Banish 'Zombie Master' from your field or Graveyard from the game, and you can select a Field Spell 'Zombie World' from your hand or deck and activate it directly in the Field Zone."

"And this effect can also be activated during the opponent's turn."

Kagurazaka: "Activate a Field Spell during my turn?"

"Not bad."

At this moment, the Banshee had already vanished from Fujiki You Xuan's field.

A large mass of viscous purple mist drifted onto the field, like the sighs spat out by countless awakened ghosts. Pale finger bones proliferated wildly like mushroom colonies after rain, turning into an undulating plain of skeletons in the blink of an eye. Purple giant trees rose from the ground, their trunks like corroded skin, with faces twisted on the knots, some looking like demons, some like humans, as if the moment of despair had been frozen, as if silently roaring and screaming. "Whoa, what an eerie field!"

Yuma hugged his body with both hands, as if the whole person had become cold following the arrival of the field.

He looked at Misawa again: "Are you sure this person is a good guy?"

Misawa laughed: "I know he doesn't look like it, but he really is on our side."

"Doesn't look like it is redundant, I've already said there's no duelist more loving than me."

Fujiki You Xuan muttered a sentence, then looked up at Kagurazaka.

"In the field of Zombie World, all monsters on both sides' fields and Graveyards become Zombie-type."

"Become Zombie-type?" Kagurazaka snorted, "Zombie-type is Zombie-type, this kind of behavior is completely meaningless..."

"Nani!?"

His pupils contracted a beat late, and only then did he face the enemy as if facing a great enemy.

Yuma, whose reflection arc was also slightly long, asked: "What's wrong? What happened?"

Astral explained from the side: "The Spell Card 'Warrior Returning Alive' he just activated can only retrieve Warrior-type monsters from the Graveyard, but 'Zombie World' can turn all monsters into Zombie-type..."

"So that's it!" Yuma realized, "In that case, that Spell Card has become useless?"

"That's exactly what it means, because the monster targeted has already become Zombie-type."

Astral nodded and said faintly.

"At first glance, it's a field that is very ordinary for Zombie-types to use, but if you think about it carefully, you will find that this is a very terrifying card. In this field, all cards used on specific races on the field and in the Graveyard are negated."

"For specific decks, this one card alone might be a devastating blow."

Yuma was shocked: "So strong!"

"Cunning little tricks." Kagurazaka said, "Then I summon 'Undead Warrior'!"

A bald, tenacious warrior was summoned to the field. He held samurai swords in both hands and wore ancient armor. The reason he was called tenacious was because he looked covered in wounds, with arrows still stuck in his body, yet he still stood firmly.

【Undead Warrior, ATK 1200】

"Level 3 Warrior-type, oh, by the way, Marauding Captain is also a Level 3 Warrior-type." Fujiki You Xuan shook his head, "The effect of the Captain is that when the summon is successful, you can Special Summon other Warrior-types from your hand."

"So if the Marauding Captain's summon had been successful, by using the Captain's effect to Special Summon a Level 3 Warrior from your hand, you could have directly performed an Xyz Summon, right?"

Fujiki You Xuan shook his head regretfully.

"What a pity, you were almost able to Xyz Summon right at the start. It seems like I won't be able to see your trump card for a while."

Kagurazaka said with a cold face: "Put away that arrogant mouth of yours. Although you did interrupt my Xyz, your field is now empty."

Saying this, he directly waved his hand to give an attack command.

"Undead Warrior, direct attack!" ===== CHAPTER 1174 =====
