Chapter 1176: Engine General

Fujiki You Xuan: "My turn, draw."

Fraulein joked: "Is that the so-called... Xyz monster? Seems like a pretty interesting opponent." "What's their purpose this time?"

"Destroy the world? Annex dimensions? Usually, it's about the same." Fujiki You Xuan shrugged, "Activate the Spell Card 'Pot of Magic'. Both sides draw three cards from their decks."

After drawing, Fujiki You Xuan played another Spell from his hand.

"Spell Card 'Book of Life - Forbidden Spell'. Select an Undead-type monster in your Graveyard and a monster in the opponent's Graveyard, banish the opponent's Graveyard monster from the game, and Special Summon the Undead-type from your Graveyard!"

A Resurrection Spell, the cost of activation is to banish a monster from the Graveyard, but this cost has to be paid by the opponent. So this card was once a must-have artifact for various Zombie decks.

"Banish 'Marauding Captain' from your Graveyard from the game." Fujiki You Xuan held a monster card in his hand with two fingers and shook it, "Once again from my Graveyard, Special Summon 'Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon'!"

The giant book with a green cover opened on the field, purple mist spewed out from the cracks in the spine, faces of wailing vengeful spirits appeared in the mist, and the Graveyard opened like a boiling black vortex.

The dragon's bone claws reached out from the depths of the vortex, the bones of the Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon exploded inch by inch, and the flesh climbed and regenerated along the skeleton like lava, returning to the form of a black dragon.

【Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon, ATK 2400】

Kagurazaka gave a 'tch'. It was beaten just now and came back so quickly; this Red-Eyes NTR dragon was annoying to look at.

"Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon, attack 'Machine Angel: Engine Soldier'!"

Death energy churned in the throat of the Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon again, like ghost fire attached to the spiral black flame, and a black flame bomb containing the screams of vengeful spirits exploded.

"Attack within expectations!" Kagurazaka snorted, "Activate the effect of 'Machine Angel: Engine Soldier'!

Remove one Xyz material, you can turn an Attack Position monster on the field into Defense Position, and this turn it will not be destroyed by battle or card effects!

I'll remove one material, turn the Engine Soldier itself into Defense Position, and gain destruction immunity!"

The black flame bomb roared over with thick smoke and scorching trails, the burning sphere drawing a scorched trajectory in the air. The Machine Angel just hung in place, its mechanical wings trembling slightly, unfolding a translucent purple light curtain from the shoulder armor. That barrier was like flowing crystal, turning into a solid shield.

【Machine Angel: Engine Soldier, ATK 1800 → DEF 1000】

Fire and barrier collided, black flames exploded like spray, scorching tongues of fire frantically licked the protective shield but couldn't penetrate it at all. The purple light rippled slightly, decomposing and dissolving the violent flames, finally turning into wisps of gray smoke that dissipated. The Machine Angel remained motionless.

"A defense-turning and destruction-immunity effect, huh." Fujiki You Xuan nodded.

This thing was an Xyz monster from the early years, and not a particularly famous card; Fujiki You Xuan didn't remember very well what its effect was.

Looking at it with today's eyes, a mere destruction immunity naturally couldn't affect anything; there were as many ways to solve it as one wanted. However, in the Xyz era, monsters that couldn't be destroyed by battle or effects, although there were ways to solve them, were definitely not as convenient as they were today.

So the effect of this Engine Soldier was still quite practical. Turning into defense while resisting destruction, avoiding damage. Whether it was using this thing to survive and delay, or using it to protect a big brother, it was a good idea.

But of course, this wasn't its final form yet.

"My turn, draw!"

Kagurazaka drew. The moment he drew, the atmosphere on the field seemed to change, and transparent air waves were triggered.

The projection of the Barian behind Kagurazaka instantly looked up and laughed loudly.

"It's here! It's finally here! Watch closely, this is the world ahead of Xyz, the answer to evolution! I activate Rank-Up-Magic - Barian's Force!!!"

Yuma was the first to change color: "Barian's Force, it really came!"

Astral also said: "A terrifying card capable of giving any Xyz monster the ability to break through limits instantly, filled with chaos energy."

At this moment, the chaos of that Rank-Up Magic had already enveloped the Gearfried Angel. The massive steel angel sank into the Xyz vortex that had reopened on the ground, evolving while wrapped in the raging chaotic energy.

"Barian's Force born from chaos, pass judgment on this dirty world! Chaos Xyz Change—"

"—Chaos Xyz - Machine Fiend: Engine General!!!"

A new chaos vortex opened, like a passage leading to the Barian world. Machine Angel: Engine Soldier sank into that pitch-black vortex, as if swallowed by chaos. Only a moment after that steel body disappeared in the vortex, it immediately exploded with sky-high energy.

That steel body seemed to have been reorganized, the engine roared continuously, and in the chaos energy, it was roughly dismantled and reassembled, turning into a larger, more... purple aircraft-like form.

【Chaos Xyz - Machine Fiend: Engine General, ATK 2600】

"Sure enough, it ranked up, it's a Chaos Xyz monster!" Yuma gritted his teeth, "Damn, this duel really should have been ours..."

Astral said: "No, this is fine."

Yuma: "Eh?"

"Barian's Force is the card with the greatest lethality to Xyz monsters." Astral analyzed, "When Barian's Force is activated, the summoned Chaos Xyz monster can take away the opponent's Xyz monster's Xyz materials, and the opponent's monster's attack power will decrease by the number of materials taken away x 300 points." (Anime effect)

"Oh, oh, right!"

Yuma only then remembered that they had suffered from this Barian's Force when they fought Barians before. Hope not only had all his materials drawn away and turned into a blank board, but his attack power also decreased.

Thinking about it this way, if the opponent didn't use Xyz at all, Barian's Force wouldn't be able to exert its maximum power.

"Chaos Xyz - Machine Fiend: Engine General, attack 'Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon'!"

"Destruction Airstrike!"

The armor of the Engine General opened, revealing two pitch-black cannon barrels. The muzzles accumulated dark purple light flames, and two rays shot out simultaneously, merging in mid-air like magnets, synthesizing into a purple flame of light that surged forward.

Fraulein gave Fujiki You Xuan a wink: "Want me to make a move?"

"Then I'll trouble you." Fujiki You Xuan smiled.

Saying this, Fujiki You Xuan looked up and said.

"The effect of Vampire Fraulein is, during damage calculation when an Undead-type monster on my field battles the opponent, I have one chance to pay Life Points in multiples of 100, and my monster's attack and defense will increase by the paid value only during that damage calculation!"

Kagurazaka's face changed drastically: "Nani!?" ===== CHAPTER 1177 =====
