Chapter 1189: God Neos

"Oh, attacking directly?"

Jaden looked at Utopia, who had already started to accumulate power, and the glowing imperial spear.

"So, that equipment has effects other than increasing ATK?"

"Exactly," Yuma smiled, "During the battle between the monster equipped with Unicorn Spear and the opponent, the opponent's monster targeted for battle has its effects negated!"

Jaden: "Magma Neos...?"

Most of Magma Neos's ATK comes from his own monster effect. Once the effect is negated, he only has the 500-point ATK increase from the Field Spell "Neo Space," and he must also accept the 1000-point reduction effect of Utopia Ray's effect.

【Elemental HERO Magma Neos, ATK 2500】

"Go, Imperial Spear Utopia Ray!" Yuma pushed his palms forward, "Defeat Magma Neos!"

The vortex of light condensed on Utopia Ray's spear, shooting out with the whistling of piercing the air. Magma Neos blasted out a magma fireball again, but the fireball was pierced by the imperial spear at the first touch, and the golden spear energy pierced Neos through the chest without losing momentum.

【Jaden, LP 4000 → LP 1100】

Jaden raised his arm to block in front of him, and he was also blown back by the air wave.

"Looks like I was careless," Yubel said from the side.

"Seems so," Jaden stood firm, but still smiled, "Because the opponent is unexpectedly very powerful."

Many students all around were also thinking the same.

So strong!

Especially compared to Yuma's previous image of being defeated in every battle, this contrast was even more vivid.

Was this kid so strong?

"Good! In this case, the LP difference is almost caught up!"

Yuma said.

"Turn end."

Jaden patted the dust on his body: "It seems that I have to show some real skills on my side too."

Yuma was stunned: "Eh? Are you saying you haven't been serious until now?"

"Ahahaha, you could say that. But be careful next. My turn, draw!"

Jaden waved his hand and flipped open his back row.

"Activate face-down card, Trap Card 'Hope for the Future'!" Jaden said, "When 'Elemental HERO Neos' is on your field, you can activate it by sending 'Polymerization' from your hand to the Graveyard."

As he spoke, he showed the Polymerization Spell Card in his hand and sent it to the Graveyard.

"Select a Fusion Monster that uses 'Elemental HERO Neos' as a Fusion Material from the Fusion Deck, send any number of Fusion Material monsters described by that monster from your Deck to the Graveyard, and Special Summon that monster from the Fusion Deck!"

Jaden pulled out a large pile of cards popped out from his Deck in one go.

"I send 'Elemental HERO Neos', and Neo-Spacians Grand Mole, Aqua Dolphin, Flare Scarab, Glow Moss, and Air Hummingbird, six cards in total, from my Deck to the Graveyard, for a six-fold fusion!"

"Six-fold fusion!?" Yuma was shocked.

Neos flew into mid-air, while the other Neo-Spacians appeared on the field one by one, transforming into colorful light balls, and overlapped onto Neos one by one.

All the energy entered Neos's body, seemingly causing a violent qualitative change. Neos was bathed in golden radiance, and in an instant, he burst out with god-like radiance.

Elemental HERO God Neos!

【Elemental HERO God Neos, ATK 3000】 The physical card of God Neos not only weakened the effect, but also changed the ATK to 2500. The original ATK was 3000.

"God Neos?" Yuma was excited, "Oh, oh, another monster that looks very powerful!"

"The powerful one is just starting," Jaden shouted, "God Neos's effect, banish a monster with 'Neo-Spacian' in its name from your Deck to gain that monster's effect, and increase its own ATK by 500!

What I want to banish from the Deck is, 'Neo-Spacian Dark Panther'!"

A mass of black matter like mud condensed and turned into the form of a leopard. The pitch-black leopard flew in mid-air and merged into God Neos, and Neos's eyes flashed with dark light for a short time.

"Neo-Spacian Dark Panther's effect is, once per turn, you can select any monster on the opponent's field and gain the same card name and monster effect as that monster!

The one I choose to copy is, of course, CNo. 39 Utopia Ray!"

As he spoke, God Neos's eyes flashed with essence, and the image of Utopia Ray seemed to be reflected in his eyes. The next moment, the image of Utopia Ray had been reflected, and the phantom of the warrior seemed to overlap onto Neos.

The next moment, golden light began to bloom on God Neos, the same as Utopia Ray. Power merged into Neos's body, as if two Utopia Rays were confronting each other.

Yuma: "Eh? Actually copied Utopia Ray..."

"Calm down, Yuma, Utopia Ray is an Xyz Monster," Astral said, "Even if you copy Utopia Ray's effect, you can't use it without Chaos Xyz Materials."

Yuma: "Right, right, oh."

Xyz Monsters must use Xyz Materials to activate effects. Even if ordinary monsters copy their abilities, it is useless. At most, they just gain the resistance of "cannot be destroyed by battle by monsters other than Numbers." But in the current situation, this can obviously be ignored.

"It's a pity that I can't use Utopia Ray's effect, but my purpose was not there in the first place," Jaden smiled mysteriously and said, "Next, I want to activate this card!

Open face-down card, Trap Card 'Power Concentration'!"

Yuma: "Power... Concentration? What is that?"

Yuma was still confused, but Astral had already reacted: "Oh no, Yuma..."

"The effect of Power Concentration is to select a face-up monster on the field. All Equip Cards on the field are equipped to the selected target.

If the target is incorrect, those Equip Cards must be destroyed."

Yuma was stunned: "Equip Cards?"

As he spoke, he looked at the Unicorn Spear on his field in a daze.

"Ah, you..."

"That's right, I target 'Elemental HERO God Neos' and activate Power Concentration!" Jaden said, "Then equip 'Unicorn Spear' to 'Elemental HERO God Neos'!"

The imperial spear instantly disappeared from Utopia Ray's hand, and a burst of flying golden light spots condensed, forming a shining long spear in Utopia Ray's hand!

"Eh, eh, eh, eh!?" Yuma was shocked, "ZEXAL Weapon was..."

Astral also sighed: "He didn't want to copy Utopia Ray's effect, but the card name!"

Because God Neos now has the card name of Utopia Ray, it will be identified as a monster with a "correct equipment target" by Unicorn Spear.

【CNo. 39 Utopia Ray, ATK 4400 → ATK 2500】

【Elemental HERO God Neos, ATK 3500 → ATK 5400】

"Battle, God Neos!" Jaden said, "Attack the player 'CNo. 39 Utopia Ray'!"

God Neos unfolded shining wings behind him, as if turning into a meteor and charging. Unicorn Spear was handed out in front of him, piercing Utopia Ray's chest with an unstoppable momentum.

Even Utopia Ray probably never thought that one day he would be killed by a ZEXAL Weapon.
