Chapter 1203

Dumon's face was gloomy.

Star Seraph Sentry's Xyz Material had been swallowed, and the battle destruction resistance had also been negated. The card the opponent pulled out was practically printed with the word "counter."

And the opponent just said "this dimension"; this way of speaking was as if he were not a person from this dimension.

Dumon's heart moved slightly.

Who exactly is this guy?

"Then it's battle," Fujiki You Xuan said, "Silent Magician LV8, attack 'Number 102: Star Seraph Sentry'!"

【Silent Magician LV8, ATK 3500】

【Number 102: Star Seraph Sentry, ATK 2500】

The magic storm of light gathered on Fujiki You Xuan's field, swirling around the staff held high by Silent Magician. The rubble on the ground seemed to be involved, swirling several times under the traction of that magic power, until it was sucked into the light ball on the staff and gathered into a part of it.

Silent Burning!

Boom—

A violent explosion, the magic light ball exploded almost right in Sentry's face. Dumon lowered his center of gravity and tried hard to stand firm, but in the end, he was blown backward by the magic storm, rolling twice and falling to the ground.

【Dumon, LP2000 -> LP1000】

However, in the smoke, golden light thorns shot out. When the smoke gradually dissipated, he saw Star Seraph Sentry still standing firmly, blocking on Dumon's field, but the posture seemed to have changed from attack to defense, appearing to have changed to a squatting defense state, blocking horizontally on the field.

【Number 102: Star Seraph Sentry, DEF 2000】

Fujiki You Xuan: "Oh? You still saved Sentry?"

"Activated Set card... Trap Card 'Half Counter'," Dumon pointed to the Trap projection flipped on the field, "Can be activated when a monster in face-up Attack Position on my field is selected as an attack target. That monster will not be destroyed by that battle, and it will change to Defense Position after damage calculation." (Anime card)

So although he took the damage, at least the monster was saved.

Dumon: "The only thing that Xyz material destruction can negate is the 'cannot be destroyed by battle' effect that comes with the monster itself; it can still be defended with a Trap."

Fujiki You Xuan nodded: "Indeed. Then I set one card, turn end."

Dumon breathed heavily and slowly stood up straight.

He felt from the beginning that this opponent seemed a bit unusual, but he was even more convinced of this after two turns of fighting. The opponent looked like just a human—in the common cognition of the Barian world, humans were mostly low-level, inferior species, and were generally not valued.

Of course, they had also heard that there were strong people among humans, but as far as they knew, there were only a few of them.

"Who are you?" Dumon asked.

"Me? It doesn't matter; I'm not famous enough to be worth mentioning. You can just think of me as a passing Duelist," Fujiki You Xuan smiled.

Dumon didn't speak.

A nobody? Are you kidding me?

This spirit, and this level of Dueling, in any case, absolutely could not be a nobody. Dumon was convinced of this.

Damn it.

Dumon clenched his fists. He heard from Vector about the awakening of the seven Number cards of the ruins. Vector said that these seven Numbers were also crucial to their Barians and could not fall into human hands. Therefore, he made a special trip from the Barian world to find these ruins to recover the Numbers.

But now he could already sense bursts of energy fluctuations erupting from the depths of the ruins, clearly a Duel had occurred—and it was an extraordinary-level battle between Numbers. This only explained one thing. The man in front of him didn't come alone but brought teammates. His teammates had probably already entered the depths of the ruins and fought with the power of the Number guarding these ruins.

If this person's teammate won the Duel, there was no doubt that they could take the Number of the ruins into their own hands. And since Dumon had already discovered that the person in front of him was not weak, he had to assume that this person's teammate's Dueling ability was probably not weak either, and the chance of successfully recovering the Number was high.

Since that was the case, he couldn't delay here any longer; he had to break through the man in front of him every second, preferably before the Duel in the ruins ended, to go and interrupt this ritual.

Dumon closed his eyes gently, his fingers resting on the Deck without drawing a card immediately, looking as if he were charging up.

"Sorry, human, you look like a good opponent. But I'm in a hurry today, so I'm going to go all out from now on!"

Dumon shouted.

"My turn, draw!"

A card was drawn, accompanied by a wave of energy. It was as if the alien energy of the Barians was concentrated on that card, making the entire card wrapped in purple-red flames.

Almost without needing to flip it over to confirm, both sides could guess what was drawn.

"Rank-Up-Magic - Barian's Force!" Dumon shouted, "This card can use the Xyz monster on my field as material to re-overlay and Xyz Summon a Chaos Xyz monster! Descend—

—CNumber 102: Star Seraph Noble Demon!!!"

As he spoke, Star Seraph Sentry on the field had already sunk into the Xyz vortex, wrapped in the power of Chaos.

That violent Chaos engraved pitch-black armor on the angel's body, light turned into darkness, the angel turned into a fallen angel, and the golden armor was dyed deep black. The spear of light seemed to turn into a churning thunder, swirling in the fallen angel's hand.

【CNumber 102: Star Seraph Noble Demon, ATK 2900】

"Oh, the Chaos Number over 100 is out; it looks like you're getting serious now," Fujiki You Xuan's clothes were fluttered by the Chaos air wave, but his tone was still relaxed.

Dumon said: "Now I'll let you feel the power of the Seven Emperors with your body, the impact of my soul!"

He threw a punch into the air: "CNumber 102: Star Seraph Noble Demon, effect activates!

Detach one Xyz Material, negate the effect of one monster on the opponent's field, and that monster's ATK becomes zero!"

A high-end upgraded version of Sentry's effect. Sentry could erase monster effects and halve ATK, while Noble Demon made the opponent's ATK zero, which was more direct and rough.

"Make 'Silent Magician LV8's' ATK zero!"

The Star Seraph Noble Demon locked onto the white-robed mage, and the power of Chaos transformed into the form of lightning, slamming down towards Fujiki You Xuan's field like a fierce thunder!

"Sorry, although your Barian Chaos or whatever looks very powerful, don't underestimate the Spellcaster too much," Fujiki You Xuan said, "Activate Set card, Quick-Play Spell 'Time Silence - Turn Silence'!

This card targets one monster on my field and increases that monster's Level by 3. I increase Silent Magician LV8's Level from 8 to 11!"

【Silent Magician LV8, LV8 -> LV11】

Dumon asked curiously: "Increasing the Level at this juncture?"

"The point is the subsequent effect," Fujiki You Xuan smiled, "The effect of Turn Silence, when chained to the activation of an opponent's monster effect, negates that monster's effect."

Dumon: "!"
