Chapter 1329: The Advancing Anubis

At this very moment, now.

Sure enough, just as Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan said, when Yugi arrived at the boundary of the huge green light barrier covering the entire city, all three pillars of light had disappeared one after another, and the barrier was lifted.

"Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan, Joey, Kaiba... thank you."

Dark Yugi said as if talking to himself.

Of course, to outsiders, it seemed like he was talking to himself, but he was actually talking to someone. Yugi Muto's ghost floated out and nodded: "They have all completed their respective work; next, it's our turn."

"Yes," Dark Yugi said firmly. "We will definitely defeat Xin Xin Duoma and crush their ambition!"

The two quickly arrived at the location of the Xin Xin Duoma headquarters.

When Dark Yugi arrived at the door, he had already directly summoned the Dark Magician to escort him. The Pharaoh held the Millennium Puzzle—that was a dark item at the world's top level; summoning monsters to materialize was like the basics of the basics for him.

He had originally planned to break in directly, but when he arrived, he found there was no need for that at all.

The door was open.

The huge temple, from far away, one could see the flickering firelight leaking out through the door. The open door looked as if it were beckoning to welcome him.

Dark Yugi paused at the door and frowned.

Yugi Muto said: "It looks like a trap."

"Yes," Dark Yugi nodded, reaching out to touch his Millennium Puzzle. "But even if it's a trap, we have to go."

Yugi Muto looked at him, and also nodded. Both sides seemed to see firmness in each other's eyes.

Dark Yugi stepped inside. He saw that this was a quite huge great hall; the space inside the hall was huge, but it was empty, appearing very vacant.

Dark Yugi looked around, and soon saw the countless dense relief squares on the wall, each square clearly imprinted with a human figure.

Dark Yugi, who was well-versed in Shadow Games, soon realized that each square probably contained a sealed soul. This great hall sealed countless vast souls from ancient times to modern times, simply like a mausoleum of resentful spirits.

Realizing this, Dark Yugi, even as a ghost who had wandered for three thousand years, felt a cold wind blow at this moment, and the entire great hall became a bit colder.

"Dartz!"

Dark Yugi shouted loudly, his voice echoing in the empty great hall.

Dartz did not appear, but there were indeed some slight changes in the field.

Darkness rolled in from all directions, as if coming from every darkest corner of the great hall. The darkness gathered, gradually condensing into a human figure, turning into a blond, muscular strong man, with dark skin, bare upper body, looking like a very difficult person to mess with.

Dark Yugi was puzzled and asked in a deep voice: "Who are you?"

"My name is Anubis," the dark strong man sneered. "Nameless Pharaoh, I am your darkness, your nightmare. Carrying the will of Lord Zorc, I am the one who will bring an end to your three thousand years of wandering!"

"Anubis? Zorc?" Dark Yugi felt strange in his heart.

Isn't this Dartz's great hall? What does this person have to do with Dartz?

But no matter what, the fact that this battle was unavoidable was already obvious.

"No matter who you are, I will defeat you here!" Dark Yugi shouted. "I will crush Xin Xin Duoma's conspiracy!"

As he spoke, the Duel Disk had already been activated.

Anubis just calmly reached out, spread his five fingers, and flipped his palm. Five cards immediately materialized from black energy and floated in Anubis's palm.

"Not using a Duel Disk..." Dark Yugi frowned, feeling a bit suspicious, but didn't ask further. "Duel!" x2

【Dark Yugi, LP4000】

【Anubis, LP4000】

"I'll go first, draw card!" Dark Yugi said. "Normal Summon 'King's Knight'!"

King's Knight in luxurious armor was summoned to Dark Yugi's field, his cape flying behind him, his sword swinging.

【King's Knight, ATK 1600】

Dark Yugi followed up by taking out two more hand cards and inserting them into the back row of the Duel Disk one by one: "Set two cards in the back row, turn end!"

"My turn, draw card."

Anubis drew a card, sneered, and then revealed a hand card and slapped it directly onto the Duel Disk: "I Special Summon 'Tawa Scimitar Demon - Master Swordsmanship'!"

The pitch-black demon was summoned from the monster card, its wings wrapping around its body like a cape. A pair of crescent-like scimitars were held in its hands, drawing intersecting silver arcs in front of the demon.

【Tawa Scimitar Demon - Master Swordsmanship, ATK 2400】

Dark Yugi: "Summoning a seven-star monster directly without sacrifice..."

It naturally reminded him of the opponent called "Draco" that Yugi Muto encountered not long ago. These were all future weapons that did not fit the style of their current era.

"Tawa Scimitar Demon - Master Swordsmanship can be Special Summoned directly from the hand when there are no monsters on your field."

【Tawa Scimitar Demon - Master Swordsmanship, ATK 2400】

"It's too early to be surprised by this level," Anubis mocked.

This was just the tip of the iceberg of the power bestowed upon him by that lord.

"Whether you have the ability to witness the true power bestowed by that lord depends on whether you have the skill, Nameless Pharaoh!"

Anubis said, waving his hand and ordering: "Battle! Tawa Scimitar Demon - Master Swordsmanship, attack 'King's Knight'!"

The scimitar demon crossed its blades and slashed through the air. The transparent crescent sword energy cut the knight, shield and man alike, into several pieces, shattering them into fragments.

"Activate Set Card!" Dark Yugi said. "Trap Card 'Time Machine'! This card can be activated when a monster is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, allowing that destroyed monster to return to the field in the same battle position!"

Purple mist appeared on the field, and a huge pitch-black machine emerged in the mist, as if letting time on the field flow backward.

Dark Yugi's second Set Card in the back row was also flipped open: "Chain activate Continuous Trap 'Death Struggle Team Swap'!

When a face-up Attack Position monster on your field is destroyed by battle, you can make the damage from that battle 0, and after damage calculation, Special Summon a monster of Level 4 or lower from your hand!"

A white transparent barrier was released from the trap to block in front of Dark Yugi. The crescent sword energy of the scimitar demon surged against the barrier and was completely offset, and then that energy was absorbed into Dark Yugi's hand, causing one of his hand cards to glow with golden light.

Dark Yugi: "Therefore, I first Special Summon 'Queen's Knight' from my hand!"

【Queen's Knight, ATK 1500】

"Next is the effect of 'Time Machine', resurrecting 'King's Knight' from the Graveyard!"

【King's Knight, ATK 1600】

Dark Yugi: "Finally, when 'Queen's Knight' is on the field and 'King's Knight' is summoned, I can Special Summon 'Jack's Knight' from the Deck!" (Anime effect) ===== CHAPTER 1330 =====
