Chapter 1337: Believing Is Existing

Dark Magic High Priest, reclaimed!

The moment Dark Magic High Priest returned to Yugi's field, the other pitch-black illusion magician on his field also reacted.

It was seen that the Magic High Priest's staff also swirled half a circle and pounded on the ground. A new magic circle immediately opened on Dark Yugi's field, as if leading to the Underworld.

"Dark Illusion's effect activates," Dark Yugi said. "While this card is on the field, there is only one chance; when I activate a Magic or Trap card effect, I can Special Summon one 'Dark Magician' from my Graveyard!

Just now I activated Magic Card 'Owner's Seal', so I resurrect 'Dark Magician' from the Graveyard!"

From the pitch-black vortex, the slender black-robed shadow flew out again; Dark Magician looked stern and resurrected back to the field in a defensive posture.

【Dark Magician, ATK 2500】

"This magician again, it seems he is indeed the monster the Pharaoh trusts the most," Anubis said. "But what of it?"

Dark Yugi closed his eyes gently, as if brewing for a few seconds.

Then he suddenly opened his eyes and said sternly: "I believe in you, Dark Magician."

As he spoke, he raised his hand, and the next operation almost made Anubis's jaw drop.

"I... overlay Level 7 'Dark Magician' and Level 7 'Dark Illusion'!"

Anubis: "???"

What did the Pharaoh just say? Overlay?

Is it the overlay I'm thinking of?

But how...

Then the next moment, he really saw Dark Magician and Dark Illusion both fly into the sky, turning into two purple-black light beams, intersecting and rising into the sky, and then falling into the energy storm of the Overlay Network.

Dark Yugi: "Two monsters construct the Overlay Network, Xyz Summon!"

"Impossible!" Anubis completely lost his composure and shouted.

Are you kidding?

He had just obtained power from Lord Zorc, power that did not belong to this dimension or this era, and only then could he touch the tip of the iceberg of the power called "Xyz."

He was so confident, and an important factor was that this should be power beyond the Pharaoh's understanding. The Pharaoh living in this era and this dimension had no possibility of coming into contact with such a concept, let alone mastering this summoning method.

But what is this that I am seeing now?

The Pharaoh just saw it once, just learned about the existence of such a concept, and immediately learned it?

Not to mention anything else, where is your Xyz monster? Printing it on the spot?

"Spanning three thousand years of time, my most loyal servant, evolve with me once again!" Dark Yugi shouted. "Rank 7—

—Ebon Illusion Magician!!!"

Appearing from the Overlay Network, thousands of surging magic particles gathered into a slender magic robe. It was still a style similar to Dark Magician, just like Dark Magician had changed into a new skin. But the difference was that the tip of his staff was now shining with golden light, and two purple light balls orbited around his body like satellites—these were the signs of being an Xyz monster, his Xyz materials.

The face under the huge magician's hat was dark-skinned, forming a sharp contrast with the blond hair. The long blond hair was like a waterfall, releasing shining golden light.

【Ebon Illusion Magician, ATK 2500】

Anubis was already stunned: "Dark Magician's Xyz..."

Crazy, he was going crazy.

The Pharaoh really Xyz summoned, and it looked like the Dark Magician main family—this meant that it was probably the evolution spawned by the Pharaoh's own power, a new form of Dark Magician.

So the Pharaoh really just saw it once, and completed the evolution of Xyz when he only had a half-understanding of the concept of Xyz?

What kind of card-printing cheater is this!?

"Why!?" Anubis couldn't bear it anymore. "Why can you Xyz? No... where did Dark Magician get Xyz? This kind of antique from three thousand years ago... did you know from the beginning that Dark Magician had the potential for Xyz!?"

Dark Yugi looked at the newly appeared magician on the field and said firmly: "As long as you believe firmly in your heart, he has it. This is a true duelist."

Anubis: "..." The blond strong man shook his head, trying to restrain his thoughts that were about to run wild.

"But this is meaningless!" Anubis roared. "So what if you Xyz? A mere Rank 7 magician with only 2500 ATK..."

Dark Yugi: "Ebon Illusion Magician's effect activates! Once per turn, detach one Xyz material, and you can Special Summon any Normal Monster of Spellcaster-type from your hand or Deck!"

Ebon Illusion Magician raised his staff above his head, and one of the two orbiting Xyz materials was absorbed into his staff. Golden brilliance erupted, constructing a golden magic summoning circle on the field.

"I Special Summon 'Cosmo Queen' from the Deck!!!"

【Cosmo Queen, ATK 2900】

"Then it's battle!" Dark Yugi said. "Use 'Cosmo Queen' to attack 'Number XX: Utopic Dark Infinity'!"

Anubis shouted: "Are you crazy? Using a vanilla monster with only 2900 ATK..."

"I said, believe in the possibilities of monsters, this power of belief will summon miracles!" Dark Yugi shouted. "Ebon Illusion Magician's other effect!

When a Normal Monster of Spellcaster-type on your field attacks, you can choose any card on the opponent's field and banish that card directly from the game!"

Anubis's expression changed suddenly: "Nani!?"

The magic wand in the pitch-black magician's hand was raised, and golden light waves bloomed, locking onto the dark swordsman on Anubis's field.

Dark Yugi: "Banish 'Number XX: Utopic Dark Infinity' from the game!"

Space rippled, and Utopic Dark Infinity seemed to fall beneath the water surface, gradually becoming virtual and transparent in the spatial ripples until it dissipated into thin air.

Anubis was so furious that his eyes were blood-red: "Pharaoh aaaaaah—"

"Attack target lost, battle rewind, attack continues!" Dark Yugi said. "Cosmo Queen, direct attack!"

【Cosmo Queen, ATK 2900】

Cosmo Queen brewed a churning magic black ball between her palms, turning into a spiral impact and blasting out, piercing through Anubis like thunder!

Anubis: "Uwaaaah!"

【Anubis, LP7400 -> LP4500】

Dark Yugi: "Dark Magic High Priest, direct attack!"

Dark Magic High Priest also began to accumulate power, as if all the resentment of being forcibly NTRed this whole time had gathered in this magic impact, blasting out several times stronger than usual!

Anubis: "Roar aaaaah!"

【Anubis, LP4500 -> LP1300】

"Final strike!"

Dark Yugi let the newly printed Xyz trump card take the final blow.

"Ebon Illusion Magician, direct attack!"

The final strike, golden magic power gathered on the staff, like a swirling galaxy vortex, blasting out with ten thousand tons of momentum!

Anubis: "Waaaaah—"
