Chapter 1346: Undead Invasion

Plaguespreader Zombie, possessing the regenerative ability to actively jump from the Graveyard back to the field, is a Level 2 Tuner and the core of the Undead Synchro deck. Its repeated jumping back and forth is the key to this Synchro system.

Bakura: "Next, activate the Magic Card 'Hidden Armory'. This card allows me to search my Deck for any Equip Magic Card to add to my hand, then send the top card of my Deck to the Graveyard."

A card automatically popped out of Bakura's Deck, which he drew into his hand.

"I add the Equip Magic 'Premature Burial' from my Deck to my hand, and send one card from the top of my Deck to the Graveyard."

Bakura sent the top card of his Deck directly into the Graveyard.

Dartz frowned: "The top card of the Deck, it was just returned to the top of the Deck by 'Plaguespreader Zombie's' effect..."

Plaguespreader Zombie can return any card from the hand to the top of the Deck, so the card sent to the Graveyard by 'Hidden Armory' was actually decided by Bakura himself.

"Correct, you've started to keep up," Bakura smiled. "And the card I just returned to the top of the Deck and then sent to the Graveyard is this one, Mezuki!"

"By banishing 'Mezuki' from the Graveyard, I can revive another Undead-type monster from the Graveyard to the field."

He immediately revealed the Mezuki that had just entered the Graveyard, and then a dragon roar that seemed to carry the stench of a corpse erupted from his Graveyard. The pitch-black giant dragon with scarlet eyes flew back onto the field with a screech.

Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon, revive!

【Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon, ATK 2400】

Dartz: "Now even if you revived this, so what? It's no match for the Mirror Knights."

"That's why I said don't be in such a hurry, the good show is still long," Bakura smiled. "Next, I use the Level 2 Tuner monster 'Plaguespreader Zombie' and the Level 4 'Shuten-Doji' to Synchro Tune!"

【2+4=6】

"Emperor who fell into hell, transform into an undead form to capture lost souls, Synchro Summon! Level 6—"

"—Revived King Ha Des!!!"

In the Synchro ring, the new stars aligned in a straight line, the Emperor Dragon's body withered into a zombie, its whole body covered in armor like bones, and the scarlet core on its chest released an eerie light.

【Revived King Ha Des, ATK 2400】

"Synchro Summon?" Dartz finally couldn't hold back his calm expression and revealed a look of astonishment. "You... how could you...?"

"Obtain power beyond the era? I said it before, my vision has long since completely transcended this primitive era, seeing scenery that neither you nor that hillbilly snake of yours have ever seen. This is why your self-righteous fate is so ridiculous."

Bakura continued his operations as he spoke.

"Then Revived King Ha Des, effect activate! When this card is successfully Special Summoned, I can choose one Undead-type monster in the opponent's Graveyard and Special Summon that monster to my field in Attack Position!"

Dartz's expression was gloomy: "Because of 'Cycle of the World's' effect, all monsters in our Graveyards have become Undead-type..."

"Correct! Therefore, I obtain this card from your Graveyard," Bakura laughed. "'Machina Fortress'! Descend as my Undead fortress!"

Scarlet light flashed in Revived King Ha Des's eyes, and the next moment the vortex of the Graveyard opened, and the pitch-black giant fortress floated up, spraying dazzling fire, and arrived on Bakura's field.

【Machina Fortress, ATK 2500】

Dartz didn't say a word, but his face became increasingly ugly.

From the beginning of this duel, Bakura had been unfolding his 'NTR' behavior one after another. Dartz had blocked it once or twice, but ultimately failed to block it to the end, and the opponent had succeeded after all.

Just from this Undead Synchro deck, one could see that 'NTR' was quite a classic part of the Undead system. In fact, it might really have something to do with Bakura and the Great Evil God Zorc.

Perhaps it was because Bakura in the anime was fond of Undead decks, and his soul card was the top-tier 'NTR' card 'Change of Heart', which set this tone, causing the Undead-type to embark on the branch of 'NTR' even after DM ended...

"Still continuing!" Bakura said. "Next, activate the Equip Magic 'Premature Burial' that I just searched to my hand! By paying 800 Life Points, I can Special Summon any monster from my Graveyard to the field in Attack Position."

Dartz continued to keep his face gloomy.

Although he didn't say anything, he had indeed started to feel uneasy.

The opponent's deck was too capable of talking.

Although Undead Synchro was only an early-stage 'talking' deck, for Dartz, who lived in this dimension of DM, it already looked like a sufficiently advanced weapon.

Until now, Dartz had never seen a deck that allowed a duelist to talk continuously for three and a half minutes without catching their breath, and judging by the current situation, Dartz even had a strange feeling that the opponent hadn't even started to exert his full strength yet.

【Bakura, LP 2500 → LP 1700】

Bakura: "Premature Burial's effect, Special Summon 'Shuten-Doji' from the Graveyard in Attack Position!"

【Shuten-Doji, ATK 1500】

"Shuten-Doji's effect, banish two Undead-type monsters from the Graveyard to draw one card from the Deck," Bakura said. "I banish 'Dark Armed Dragon' and 'Mammoth Zombie' from the Graveyard to draw one card."

Bakura drew another card, then revealed the card he had drawn.

"Magic Card 'Double Summon', can add one additional Normal Summon this turn."

"Next, I will release 'Zombie Master', 'Shuten-Doji', and 'Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon' on my field, Tribute Summon!"

Bakura held the monster card in his hand high above his head.

"Beast King Barbaros!!!"

The tall and burly beast king, with a lion-like head, a human upper body, and a lower body like a centaur, his bare upper body was strong and powerful, his dark skin full of muscles.

【Beast King Barbaros, ATK 3000】

Dartz was startled: "This card is..."

"Correct, although Beast King Barbaros is an 8-star monster, it can be summoned by releasing three monsters. And when summoned using this effect—"

Bakura's arm was raised high, and he clenched his fist hard in the air.

"—all cards on the opponent's field are destroyed!"

Boom—

A bombardment like the destruction of heaven and earth, an endless wave swept out, pushing across Dartz's field.

All the Mirror Knights, along with the polyhedral mirror of the ritual, were all annihilated into slag in the energy torrent that erupted from a single point centered on Beast King Barbaros.

Of course, that destructive torrent also swept toward the green light barrier in Dartz's back row. However, the continuous scouring of that wave only caused ripples to bloom on the barrier, without shaking it in the slightest.

"Orichalcos Tritos, like the first layer of the Barrier, cannot be destroyed once activated, nor can it leave the field in any form," Dartz said gloomily.

"But other than that, there's nothing else that can protect you," Bakura shouted. "Machina Fortress, Beast King Barbaros, Revived King Ha Des, direct attack!"
