Chapter 1398: Yugi Fires on All Cylinders!

"Special Summon the Fusion Material monsters from the Graveyard."

Barrett said.

"Because it's a Special Summon during the Battle Phase, the material monsters can still attack... but because Dark Panther Warrior needs to tribute other monsters on my field to attack. Then use 'Dark Sentinel' to attack 'Magician's Robe'!"

【Dark Sentinel, ATK 1500】

【Magician's Robe, ATK 700】

【Dark Yugi, LP 3200 → LP 2400】

"Next, activate the Spell card 'Magic Planter', send my 'Beast-Warrior Machine Fusion Device' to the Graveyard, and draw two cards from my Deck."

Barrett drew two cards.

"Then activate the Spell card 'Fusion' from my hand, use 'Dark Panther Warrior' and 'Dark Sentinel' on the field as Fusion Materials, Fusion Summon!"

Barrett shouted.

"Appear again! Beast-Warrior Machine - Predator Panther!!!"

【Beast-Warrior Machine - Predator Panther, ATK 1600】

"And with this, the number of Predator Panther's effects is reset!" Barrett said, "Predator Panther once per turn, can inflict damage to the opponent equal to half of its ATK. Take this! Take another 800 points of damage, half of Predator Panther's ATK!"

Predator Panther roared, and red light shot out from the mechanical core on its chest, hitting Yugi's heart squarely.

【Dark Yugi, LP 2400 → LP 1600】

"Set three cards, turn end."

Barrett waved his hand in the back row to set three cards, declaring the end of his attack this turn.

If he had a slight contempt at the beginning, that contempt had now vanished.

Not only because he suffered a small loss in the confrontation just now, but also because in the turn just now, he felt an extraordinary temperament from the opponent.

That was the pressure that belonged only to the strong, especially after the monster spirit called "Dark Magician" appeared.

The moment his Beast-Warrior Machine - Predator Panther was destroyed by Dark Magician, Barrett almost felt a dark vortex pressing over from the opposite duelist, almost making him unable to breathe for a moment.

Barrett narrowed his eyes.

Didn't expect it, in such a remote small place, such a duelist would suddenly pop out... No, before that, it should be said that such a strong person still existed in this dimension that had already been unified by Lord Zarc.

In this world, any duelist who had a little fame and outstanding strength had either been purged by the Academy Army or by Lord Zarc himself, or had surrendered and become a part of the Academy.

It was really rare to meet such a wild duelist powerhouse in this era.

"My turn, draw!"

It was Dark Yugi's turn. This turn Yugi was finally able to draw cards—he still felt uncomfortable about not being able to draw cards at the start.

"Activate the Spell card 'Graceful Charity', draw three cards from my Deck, then discard two cards from my hand."

"Then the Spell card 'Magical Book of the Pot', both sides draw three cards from their Decks."

Dark Yugi drew cards, glanced at one of them, and his eyes moved, seemingly confirming his tactic, and directly revealed the card he drew.

"I tribute 'Dark Magician'!" Dark Yugi said, "Another evolution of the power of Dark Magic, descending as the executor of judgment! Appear—"

"—Dark Magician of Chaos!!!"

Only to see a circular magic circle open at the feet of the Dark Magician on Yugi's field, and the ring of the magic circle began to rotate rapidly. The chaotic vortex rose from bottom to top, swallowing the magician whole. In the dark current rushing into the sky, the wide cloak danced in the dark whirlwind, the priest wore a wide robe, the purple light rippled on the staff in his hand, and only a little of his face was exposed under the wide and solid magician's hat, but sharp glints shot out.

【Dark Magician of Chaos, ATK 2500】

Barrett: "Evolved the trump card monster?"

"Dark Magician of Chaos cannot be summoned by conventional means, it can only be Special Summoned by sacrificing 'Dark Magician' on my field," Dark Yugi said. "Then I activate the Spell card 'Monster Reborn' from my hand to Special Summon a monster from the Graveyard back to the field!

Revive from the Graveyard, my most loyal servant, my trump card! Dark Magician!"

The vortex leading to the Underworld opened, and the black-robed mage jumped out, dark currents surging on his staff, having returned to the field just seconds after leaving.

【Dark Magician, ATK 2500】

Barrett: "So that's it, not only summoned the advanced form, but also kept the prototype..."

"And at this moment, the effect of 'Dark Magician of Chaos' also activates," Dark Yugi said. "As long as the Executor is on the field, whenever both sides activate a Normal Spell card, inflict 1000 points of damage to the opponent!"

Barrett's face changed slightly: "Nani?"

"Just now I activated a Spell card, so 1000 points of damage!"

While Dark Yugi gave the order, the staff in the Executor's hand had already been raised above his head. The emerald magic brilliance gathered into a spherical shape on the staff, shot out through the air, and exploded on Barrett.

Barrett: "Ughhh..."

【Barrett, LP 3100 → LP 2100】

The tough guy staggered back half a step, his strong arms crossed to block in front of him, his face a bit cold.

"You've got some skills." Barrett said, and as his tone changed, his pitch rose sharply, "But! At this moment, my set card also activates!

Continuous Trap 'Iron Chain Beast-Warrior Machine Medal'!"

The moment the set card was activated, cold white chains shot out from the Trap, binding the Dark Magician who had just landed tightly.

Dark Yugi: "Dark Magician is bound?"

"Iron Chain Medal can only be activated when the opponent Special Summons a monster," Barrett said. "As long as the Iron Chain Medal is on the field, those Special Summoned monsters cannot attack, and their battle positions cannot be changed!"

"So that's it, using this method to restrict my attack." Dark Yugi smiled indifferently.

Yugi said on the side: "Are you going to use new power, another me?"

"Yeah, I'm afraid I'll need to use it more than once in the upcoming battle," Dark Yugi said. "Just take this opportunity to get familiar with it, our new power!

I Overlay Level 7 'Dark Magician' and Level 7 'Dark Magician of Chaos'!

Construct the Overlay Network with two monsters, Xyz Summon!"

Both magicians soared into the sky, transforming into two purple pillars of light, crossing and falling into the gorgeous Xyz network.

"The power of Dark Magic that breaks through dimensions, appear—"

"—Rank 7! Ebon Illusion Magician!"

The Xyz form of Dark Magician, a brand new mage wearing a pitch-black robe flew out from the chaotic vortex, with no face under the magician's hat, and two purple-black vortexes swirling around his body.

【Ebon Illusion Magician, ATK 2500】

"Xyz Summon, huh." Barrett muttered.

Yuma behind also started to cheer for his teammate: "The legendary Xyz of Dark Magician, super cool! Mr. Yugi, just keep this momentum and finish the opponent!"

"As expected of Mr. Yugi." Judai looked at his former idol and couldn't help but wipe his nose and smile, "Firing on all cylinders right from the start." ===== CHAPTER 1399 =====
