Chapter 1424: Neos Power

"'Dystopia', attack 'Elemental HERO Neos'!"

Aster's command rang out like a bell. Dystopia's entire body suddenly glowed with purple light, the light gathering into its raised right fist, making the fist look like a bomb wrapped in purple light.

Aster: "Dystopia Punch!"

Dystopia threw a punch, the fist shadow striking Neos directly. Neos fired a laser from his forehead to block it, but the beam was split in two by Dystopia's punch, tearing apart like dry wood.

The purple fist then slammed into Neos, who groaned and exploded.

【Jaden, LP 3000 → LP 2700】

Jaden raised his arm to block in front of him: "Neos..."

"It's too early to be surprised," Aster said. "It's not over yet. Activate the follow-up effect of Equip Spell 'Delay Armor'!

If the monster equipped with Delay Armor destroys an opponent's monster by battle, you can then select another monster on the opponent's field with a lower Level than the destroyed monster, destroy that monster, and inflict 500 damage to the opponent!"

Grand Mole, remaining on the field, seemed to realize something immediately, pointing at itself in a dazed and innocent manner.

Another monster with a lower Level than the destroyed monster... doesn't that sound like me?

Sure enough, Aster immediately continued: "Destroy 'Neo-Spacian Grand Mole'!"

The armor equipped on Dystopia lit up with golden light. Dystopia shook its arms, its whole body seeming to bloom with light, condensing into an explosive shock beam that struck Jaden's field. The unlucky Grand Mole dissolved along with it.

Of course, the aftermath of the explosion continued to blast toward Jaden, causing him to sway again.

【Jaden, LP 2700 → LP 2200】

"That's a really effective combo," Jaden chuckled. "As expected, even in a different dimension, Aster is still quite impressive."

Aster, however, was not happy about his praise: "I said it before, no matter how many versions of me there are in parallel worlds, I am absolutely the strongest one."

"Ha, that's not necessarily true," Jaden said, tilting his head in thought. "Hmm, how should I put it? I still think my Aster is a bit more impressive."

Aster frowned: "What did you say?"

"My turn, draw!"

Jaden drew a card, then returned to his rhythm.

"First, activate Spell Card 'TakeOver5'! Send five cards from the top of my Deck to the Graveyard."

Jaden drew five cards from the top of his Deck in one go and sent them all to the Graveyard with a rustle.

TakeOver5 was Jaden's exclusive card in the anime. With Jaden's innate god-tier draw ability, one could imagine the quality of those cards in the Graveyard was not to be underestimated.

Jaden: "Next, activate Trap Card 'Neo-Space Expansion' from my hand!"

Aster: "Activate a Trap Card from your hand?"

The tone was like questioning if he was cheating.

But Jaden was, of course, not cheating. He explained with a smile: "Yeah. Although Neo-Space Expansion is a Trap Card, when there are no cards on my field, this card can also be activated from the hand."

Aster snorted and continued to watch his play.

"Neo-Space Expansion allows me to select any number of 'Neo-Spacian' monsters or 'Elemental HERO Neos' from my hand or Graveyard and Special Summon them to my field in Defense Position!"

Golden light surged in Jaden's Graveyard, and five cards popped out at once.

"Come on, my Neo-Spacians!" Jaden said. "Elemental HERO Neos! Neo-Spacian Grand Mole! Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab! Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird! Neo-Spacian Glow Moss!"

Including Neos and Grand Mole, who had been sent to the Graveyard in the previous turn, five monsters jumped onto the field in one go.

【Elemental HERO Neos, DEF 2000】 【Neo-Spacian Grand Mole, DEF 300】

【Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab, DEF 500】

【Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird, DEF 800】

【Neo-Spacian Glow Moss, DEF 900】

Aster: "You summoned five monsters at once?"

"Yeah, but they're all in Defense Position," Jaden smiled. "And the effects of monsters Special Summoned by this effect are all negated. But even if the effects are negated, my Neo-Spacian partners are still Neo-Spacians!"

As he said that, he revealed the next card: "Activate Spell Card 'Neo-Space Gift'!

This card allows me to draw cards from my Deck based on the number of 'Neo-Spacians' on my field!"

Aster's expression changed: "Nani? The number of Neo-Spacians on the field, doesn't that mean..."

"That's right, I have four Neo-Spacians on the field, so from my Deck..."

Jaden drew four cards in one go.

"Draw four cards!"

With the ammunition replenished in an instant, Jaden's momentum was like a rainbow.

"And although my Neo-Spacians can't attack or activate effects right now, they can still be used as Fusion Materials!

I return 'Elemental HERO Neos', 'Neo-Spacian Grand Mole', and 'Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab' from the field to the Extra Deck, Triple Contact Fusion!

Power of lava, descend with scorching heat—"

"—Elemental HERO Magma Neos!!!"

Grand Mole and Flare Scarab turned into two distinct streams of light, the heavy earth-gold and the scorching crimson merging into Neos's body. Neos was instantly enveloped in flames, like fire splashing from the core of the sun, crackling and flowing, turning into a churning giant ball of lava.

Then the scorching sphere burst, lava gushing from the cracks, the splashing magma turning into meteors across the sky. When the smoke cleared, it had become that burning, majestic giant.

【Elemental HERO Magma Neos, ATK 3000】

"Next, set one card in the back row."

Jaden set another card in the back row and continued.

"And then, the effect of 'Elemental HERO Magma Neos'! Magma Neos's ATK increases by 400 for every card on the field!"

As he spoke, all the monsters and cards on the field seemed to ignite.

Magma Neos itself, Glow Moss, Air Hummingbird, Aster's Dystopia, Delay Armor, plus one set card in each of their back rows. All the cards ignited with flames, and all the flames gathered toward Magma Neos, turning into its energy.

Jaden: "A total of seven cards on the field, Magma Neos's ATK increases by 2800!"

【Elemental HERO Magma Neos, ATK 3000 → ATK 5800】

Aster: "ATK 5800!?"

This was enough to move him.

Although in this Academy dimension, soaring ATK was no longer as rare or strange as in previous generations, casually whipping up 5000 or 6000 ATK was still quite shocking.

This was the Magma form representing the absolute power of Neos! ===== CHAPTER 1425 =====
