Chapter 1462: Clear Wing

"Speed Warrior!"

Yusei slapped down another monster card from his hand, starlight gathered, and a red cloak flew out from the light spots. The little robot was dressed like a Western cowboy, and the revolver in his hand spun skillfully twice.

【Speed Warrior, ATK 700】

"Next, the card I discarded to Special Summon 'Speed Warrior' earlier was 'Quillbolt Hedgehog'."

Yusei said as he drew that card from the Graveyard again. "Quillbolt Hedgehog is, when there is a Tuner monster on my field and this card is in the Graveyard, it can be Special Summoned directly from the Graveyard.

It's just that monsters Special Summoned using this effect must be banished directly from the game when they leave the field."

Yusei shook the hedgehog in his hand and then slapped it onto the Duel Disk.

"Special Summon 'Quillbolt Hedgehog'!"

Thus, the little yellow hedgehog also jumped out and returned to the field, with black iron screws on its back.

【Quillbolt Hedgehog, ATK 800】

"Oh, you've gathered the Tuner monsters so quickly." Yugo said. "Are you going to perform a Synchro Summon too?"

"No, it's not that far yet."

Yusei smiled slightly, twisted the handle of the Duel Runner, and suddenly stepped on the gas. The Duel Runner, like a beast that had received permission, finally let go of the reins and let out a happy roar.

"Next, Normal Summon 'Junk Synchron' from my hand!"

Yusei Normal Summoned the other Tuner he had searched for earlier. His oldest and most classic old friend, the short-armed and short-legged little warrior with golden armor and goggles, jumped out onto the field with his arms open.

【Junk Synchron, ATK 1300】

"The effect of Junk Synchron." Yusei said. "When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, I can Special Summon a Level 2 or lower monster from my Graveyard in face-up Defense Position with its effects negated."

As he raised his hand, a dark vortex opened in the Graveyard, and the little robot that looked like a repairman that had been sent to the Graveyard from his hand earlier was also revived onto the field.

"Special Summon the Level 2 'Junk Converter' that I discarded earlier from the Graveyard!"

【Junk Converter, DEF 200】

Yugo frowned. "Gathered two pairs of Tuner plus non-Tuner in one breath?"

"Not bad. First, the Level 3 Tuner monster 'Junk Synchron', Level 2 'Junk Converter', Tune!"

【3+2=5】

"Gathered wishes will summon new power, become a shining path of light! Synchro Summon!" Yusei said. "Junk Warrior!"

The earliest overworking warrior, Yusei after all couldn't let go of the overworking warrior he used most smoothly. The armored warrior with red goggles flew out from the starlight, his back thrusters at full power, dragging two swirling tail flames into the air, spinning twice in mid-air, and performing a standard handsome fork.

【Junk Warrior, ATK 2300】

"The monster effect of Junk Warrior, this card can become stronger by absorbing the power of its companions." Yusei said. "When Junk Warrior is successfully summoned, the ATK of all Level 2 or lower monsters on my field is added to Junk Warrior!"

"I see, that's why you specifically performed the Junk Warrior Synchro first." Yugo understood. "If Junk Warrior gains the ATK of 'Quillbolt Hedgehog', then its ATK will rise to 3100, thereby surpassing my..."

"Clear Wing Synchro Dragon..."

He said this with a sneer, and changed the subject.

"But that won't work! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, effect activates!

Once per turn, when a monster effect of a Level 5 or higher monster on the field other than this card is activated, negate that activation and destroy it!

Dichroic Mirror!"

Clear Wing's crystal prism-like dragon wings suddenly bloomed, seeming to refract seven-colored brilliant light. The crisscrossing colored light slashed across Junk Warrior, and several deep cracks instantly appeared on the latter's armor, and it exploded into a fireball with a boom.

"Junk Warrior, sorry..." Yusei muttered, then said, "I see, this is the power of this dragon, a really powerful effect."

"Not only that." Yugo said proudly. "Clear Wing Synchro Dragon also possesses further power, and that is when it destroys other monsters with its effect, this card's ATK increases by the original ATK of the monster destroyed by this card's effect until the end of the turn!"

The ghost of Junk Warrior, who had already left the field, appeared, as if his body were being pulled by an invisible gravitational force, turning into a swirling vortex, and was quickly sucked into Clear Wing's body.

And the crystal dragon wings spread by Clear Wing refracted even more dazzling brilliance, and its momentum surged again.

【Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, ATK 2500 → ATK 4800】

"4800 ATK, can negate and destroy my monsters, and can also increase its ATK, what a terrifying dragon."

Yusei said, and then changed the subject.

"But, with this, I also understand Clear Wing's effect. Then, Synchro continues!" Yusei raised his hand again. "Level 5, Tuner monster 'Speed Warrior'! Level 2, 'Quillbolt Hedgehog'! Tune!"

"Gathered shouts will become arrows of echoes piercing the sky, become a shining path of light! Synchro Summon!"

Appear—

—Junk Archer!"

Synchro second burst, the seven-star starlight avenue descended from the sky, the thin mechanical warrior flew out from the light screen, the dark red single eye seemed to be aiming and locking onto the opponent, and the long bow in his hand was brewing dangerous dimensional energy.

【Junk Archer, ATK 2300】

"Oh? Planning to use this monster to counterattack?" Yugo said.

"Not bad, Junk Archer's ATK can't win, but the effect of Junk Archer activates!" Yusei said. "Junk Archer, once per turn, can banish one monster on the opponent's field from the game until the end of the turn!

I banish 'Clear Wing Synchro Dragon' from the game!"

Starlight swirled on Junk Archer's bow, and the arrow shot out with a roar that tore through space!

"Hahaha, one move doesn't work so you switch to the next, if you can't beat it head-on then just banish it... good judgment." Yugo laughed loudly. "But! At this moment, the effect of Clear Wing Synchro Dragon activates!"

Yusei frowned. "There's another effect?"

"Not bad, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon has two effects, you've already experienced the first one, it can negate and destroy the effects of Level 5 or higher monsters."

Yugo said.

"The second one is when a Level 5 or higher monster on the field becomes the target of a monster effect, negate that monster effect and destroy it!"

"Level 5 or higher monster..." Yusei understood. "Right, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon itself is a Level 7 monster..."

"Exactly! Therefore, in response to Junk Archer's effect, Clear Wing counterattacks again!" Yugo said. "Negate the activation of Junk Archer's effect, and destroy it! Go, Clear Wing! Dichroic Mirror!!!" ===== CHAPTER 1463 =====
