Chapter 149

"Then my turn, draw card." Fujiki You Xuan said. "Activate Spell Card 'Trade-In', discard a Level 8 monster from my hand, and draw two cards from the deck."

Fujiki You Xuan revealed a card in his hand.

"I want to discard this Level 8 'Black Luster Soldier'."

Not the Envoy of the Beginning, but the original Ritual version of Black Luster Soldier that first appeared in Yugi Mutou's hands.

Fujiki You Xuan naturally didn't have this card before; it was also obtained from the Black Luster Soldier research group during this trip to the Kaiba Corporation headquarters.

Tiamen Yexing's eyelids twitched.

"The legendary warrior?"

However, he also knew that since the development of the Great Beginning, Envoy of the Beginning had been regarded as the evolved form of Black Luster Soldier. The early Ritual blank card now had more collection value than practical value; at this point, what could he do even if he had this card?

"Discard 'Black Luster Soldier', draw cards from the deck."

Fujiki You Xuan drew the card, then said unhurriedly.

"I have already felt Mr. Master Tianma's passion as a duelist, and I am also very grateful that you could give me the honor of being the first duelist to face the brand-new form of the King of Beast Gods.

Then, as a return gift..."

He slowly drew a card from his hand.

"I will also show here a new form of Black Luster Soldier that no one has seen yet."

The whole audience was shocked to hear this.

A brand-new form of Black Luster Soldier?

Some of the quicker-witted card professors immediately shifted their gaze to Mokuba beside them.

They had heard that the Kaiba Corporation had the top research team constantly doing related research.

Could it be that they really had new results?

Mokuba was quick to understand: "Are you going to try 'that' here?"

"Yes, I promised the team leader that I would test it in actual combat as soon as possible and feed back the data to him." Fujiki You Xuan said. "There is no better duel than now, and no better opponent.

I activate Spell Card 'Reinforcement of the Army', add a Level 4 or lower Warrior-type monster from my deck to my hand.

I add this card from my deck to my hand..."

He drew a card that was automatically searched from the deck.

"Level 4 Warrior-type, 'Beginning Knight'."

Tiamen Yexing held his breath and said nothing.

Just a 4-star warrior... but it gave him an ominous premonition.

"Then activate Ritual Spell 'Super Soldier Synthesis'!"

Fujiki You Xuan held up the Spell Card in his hand.

"This card can send a LIGHT/DARK monster from my hand to the Graveyard, then send a monster of the opposite attribute from my deck to the Graveyard, to Ritual Summon a 'Black Luster Soldier' from my hand or Graveyard!"

As soon as this description came out, the whole audience was shocked.

Choose materials from the deck?

And can Ritual Summon a monster from the Graveyard?

"I use the LIGHT 'Beginning Knight' I just searched from my hand and the DARK monster 'Evening Twilight Knight' from my deck as Ritual materials to perform a Ritual Summon!"

One light and one dark, one black and one white, the young knights both turned into a vortex of energy and merged at one point, as if pouring into a vortex of the galaxy.

"One soul guides the light, one soul guides the darkness, the gate of chaos opens here—"

The storm of chaos erupted, and the sword light cleaved through the heavens and earth. A pillar of light descended from the sky, and endless particles transformed into the form of a knight in the storm. The blade cleaved through the light curtain, and the knight's armor seemed to reflect the starlight.

"—Black Luster Soldier, summon!"

【Black Luster Soldier, ATK 3000】

The pressure, even greater than that of the Envoy of the Beginning, once made Tiamen Yexing even think of the arrival of the gods back then, stirring up a storm in the dueling arena.

It was as if the moment this Black Luster Soldier appeared, the battlefield was dominated by him!

"But even so, Black Luster Soldier's ATK is only equivalent to the Beast God King." Tiamen Yexing said. "And he doesn't possess any special abilities that can surpass the Beast God King."

Because as everyone knows, Black Luster Soldier is just a blank card, with no special effects at all.

Although he said so, Tiamen Yexing actually knew that he also had some expectations in his heart.

He seemed to be able to feel something different from this Black Luster Soldier.

"Black Luster Soldier, effect activate." Fujiki You Xuan waved his hand. "Once per turn, I can banish one monster on the opponent's field from play!"

"Nani!?"

Tiamen Yexing was shocked.

His expression was as if to say, I don't print many cards, don't lie to me, isn't that thing of yours a blank card?

Or is it that although it's not written on the card, it can be used like that?

"Beginning Dimension Slash!"

Immediately after, everyone saw the Black Luster Soldier's sword light slash across, and the domineering sword aura cleaved through space. The massive King of Beast Gods was completely unable to resist and was sucked into the crack of the Dimension Slash.

Tiamen Yexing: "!"

Why is this?

But he was worthy of being a big shot at Industrial Illusions, and immediately guessed the crux: "Those two Ritual materials just now..."

He felt it just now; those two young swordsmen looked exactly like the young version of Black Luster Soldier, and there must be something fishy about it.

"Not bad." Fujiki You Xuan smiled. "The effect of 'Beginning Knight'. A 'Black Luster Soldier' summoned using this card as a Ritual material can gain additional effects.

One of them is 'Beginning Dimension Slash', banishing a monster on the opponent's field from play once per turn."

"I see, it endowed Black Luster Soldier with the same type of ability as 'Envoy of the Beginning'."

Tiamen Yexing smiled slightly.

"But even so, you shouldn't have forgotten, right?" Tiamen Yexing reminded. "The 'Hand Exchange' from last turn, the card I took from your hand."

Fujiki You Xuan nodded: "Kiteroid, by discarding it to the Graveyard when taking direct attack damage, it can make the battle damage 0. When it exists in the Graveyard, it can also make the damage of one direct attack 0."

"Not bad." Tiamen Yexing smiled. "How are you going to break through this obstacle from yourself?"

Fujiki You Xuan smiled.

"Black Luster Soldier, another effect activate."

Tiamen Yexing was shocked.

Your blank card also has a second effect?

Then he immediately reacted.

"The other card used as a Ritual material just now..."

"Not bad, when 'Evening Twilight Knight' is used as a Ritual material, it can also endow 'Black Luster Soldier' with additional effects." Fujiki You Xuan said. "Once per turn, I can randomly choose one card from the opponent's hand and banish it from play until the end of the next opponent's turn!"

Tiamen Yexing: "!"

There is actually such a strong ability...

"You only have one card left in your hand, which is of course that 'Kiteroid'." Fujiki You Xuan said. "Therefore, banish 'Kiteroid' from play!

Evening Twilight Dimension Slash!"

The sword aura of light and dark slashed out again, but this time the target was the hand! The sword light swept across, and the Kiteroid in Tiamen Yexing's hand instantly evaporated into thin air, disappearing to the other side of the dimension.

"Battle."

Fujiki You Xuan ordered.

"Black Luster Soldier, direct attack on Mr. Master Tianma!"

Black Luster Soldier leaped up, and the sword blade of light and dark slashed out, transforming into a sky full of myriad sword shadows, as if ten thousand swords returning to the sect, surging in overwhelmingly.

Master Tianma Tiamen Yexing looked up, watching the shining knight, and was momentarily lost in the gorgeous sky full of sword shadows.

"This is the brand-new evolution of Black Luster Soldier..."

【Tiamen Yexing, LP500 → LP0】
