Chapter 1504: Number 99!

"Utopic Onomatopoeia and Zubababancho Gagagacoat overlay again! The two monsters build the Overlay Network, Xyz Summon!"

The two Level 4 monsters disappeared again into the Overlay Network that had appeared repeatedly this turn. Golden radiance erupted like a storm, and what appeared from that shining brilliance was, surprisingly, Utopia again.

However, if you looked closely, this Utopia's image seemed to have subtle differences from the previous one. Its build seemed a bit leaner, and its form was ethereal, accompanied by light particles like raindrops filling the sky.

Yuma: "Rank 4! Appear, Number 39: Utopia Double!"

【Number 39: Utopia Double, ATK 0】

Shun Kurosaki: "Another form of Utopia?"

"Yeah," Yuma smiled. "You'd better be careful now. Activate the effect of Utopia Double! Detach one Xyz Material from this card to add one 'Double or Nothing!' from your Deck to your hand."

As he spoke, the Utopia Double on the field had already slashed its sword through the air, and the light particles scattered by the crescent blade gathered into a card, which landed lightly in Yuma's palm.

"I add the Quick-Play Spell 'Double or Nothing!' from my Deck to my hand."

Yuma revealed the Double or Nothing! he had searched from his Deck.

"And after that, I can use 'Number 39: Utopia Double' as Xyz Material to perform a Rank-Up Xyz Summon for another 'Number 39: Utopia' Xyz Monster!"

As he spoke, Utopia Double immediately turned into a golden stream of light, circling in the air and falling into the vortex that had just opened on the ground. A light several times more dazzling than before exploded on the field.

Utopia's armor began to transform, as if new components had been equipped. Its faceplate popped open, as if removing a mask to reveal a cold face, its greatsword held high, and the golden wings behind it were like an angry lion.

"Appear! ZW - Leo Arms!"

【ZW - Leo Arms, ATK 2500】

"Monsters summoned using the effect of Utopia Double cannot attack the opponent directly, but their ATK is doubled!"

【ZW - Leo Arms, ATK 2500 → ATK 5000】

Shun: "5000 ATK..."

Astral: "Yuma, Master Tianma Twin Saber!"

"Right!" Yuma said. "Activate the effect of ZW - Leo Arms! Once per turn, detach one Xyz Material to equip any 'ZW' monster from your Deck or Extra Deck to this card as an Equip Card!

And the activation and effect of this effect cannot be negated."

Then Yuma's arm raised again, and his palm began to glow, as if endless golden light was gathering in his hand, condensing into the form of a card.

"All light, all power, gather in my hand, release the Master Tianma here, and gallop through the endless future! Come on—

—ZW - Master Tianma Twin Saber!"

A metallic Master Tianma clad in silver-white armor stepped through the void, flying out into the air, dragging endless crystalline light particles behind its wings.

Then the wings folded, and as the Master Tianma flew down, its form changed, transforming into twin-winged blades, which landed lightly in the hands of the Leo Arms Utopia.

"Utopia Leo Arms equipped with Master Tianma Twin Saber gains 1000 ATK!"

【ZW - Leo Arms, ATK 5000 → ATK 6000】

Leo Arms, 6000 ATK!

"That's not all," Yuma said. "I haven't used the 'Rank-Up-Magic Utopiforce' I searched earlier this turn yet.

Activate Rank-Up-Magic Utopiforce! This card can target any Rank 9 or lower 'Number 39: Utopia' Xyz Monster on my field, use that monster as Xyz Material to Rank-Up, and perform a Rank-Up Xyz Summon for a 'Utopia' Xyz Monster of Rank 10 or higher!"

Shun's expression changed again: "Rank 10 Xyz..."

"..."

Precisely because he was a Xyz user—and a Rank-Up enthusiast—Shun Kurosaki understood better than anyone how rare and powerful a Rank 10 Xyz Monster was.

Yuma: "Use the power of Utopiforce to Rank-Up the 'Number 39: Utopia' on my field, evolve again, Utopia!"

The Utopia on the field also began to Rank-Up, its body descending back into the Overlay Network, as if receiving new energy within it.

What appeared this time was a steel giant, taller and more burly than all the previous Utopias!

Astral: "Yuma! This is the... brand new power of ZEXAL between you and me!"

"Oh!"

Yuma was also in high spirits, raising his right hand high and clenching his fist in the air, as if trying to grasp something.

"This is our bond, and the future we have opened up!" Yuma shouted. "Number 99: Utopia Dragonar!!!"

In an instant, the giant became physical. The steel giant shadow landed heavily, its majestic body like a Gundam, with a red blade in one hand, giant wings unfurled behind it, and cold light reflecting off its steel faceplate.

【Number 99: Utopia Dragonar, ATK 3000】

Judai's eyes lit up: "Yuma, this kid is something else; Utopia has evolved again in such a short time!"

"Number 99..." Yusei also said. "This is the new power of Yuma and Astral."

One could tell from the number alone that this monster had a significant background. In fact, the Numeron power within this Utopia was far beyond that of ordinary Numbers, and its mere presence on the field was accompanied by immense pressure.

Shun Kurosaki: "This is the Rank 10... Utopia."

It looked like it had evolved from a warrior in armor into a giant mecha.

"Activate the effect of Number 99: Utopia Dragonar!" Yuma said. "By detaching two Xyz Materials from this card, I can Special Summon any 'Number' monster with a number between 1 and 99 from my Extra Deck as if it were an Xyz Summon!"

Yusei: "To be able to unconditionally call out any Number..."

"Yeah, worthy of Number 99," Judai also said. "Yuma and the others are also becoming stronger and stronger."

Astral reminded Yuma: "Yuma, use Number 38."

Yuma: "?"

Astral crossed his arms and said: "The opponent seems to be a Xyz user who is very good at using Rank-Up power. I'm afraid 'Rank-Up' tactics are the main force of his deck.

And to use Rank-Up, he has to rely on Rank-Up-Magic..."

"Oh, oh, I get it, so sealing Spells can interfere with the opponent to the greatest extent, right?" Yuma laughed. "Worthy of Astral, you think further than I do. Okay!"

As he spoke, he waved his hand and ordered this brand-new Utopia.

"Activate the effect of Number 99: Utopia Dragonar! Detach two Xyz Materials to Special Summon a Number monster from the Extra Deck. The one I want to summon is this one—Number 38: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic Galaxy!" ===== CHAPTER 1505 =====
