Chapter 1519: The Strongest Deck?

"By the effect of Dark Summoning Beast, I add 'Raviel, Lord of Phantasms' from my Deck to my hand."

A card pops out from Fujiki You Xuan's Deck; he reveals it and adds it to his hand.

"And as long as Dark Summoning Beast exists in the Monster Zone, I have one additional opportunity during my Main Phase to summon a Fiend-type monster with 0 ATK and 0 DEF, in addition to my Normal Summon."

Fujiki You Xuan then reveals a second monster card from his hand.

"Next, I Normal Summon 'Chaos Summoning Beast'."

【Chaos Summoning Beast, ATK 0】

"Then, I activate the effect of Chaos Summoning Beast. By Tributing this card, I can Special Summon 'Uria, Lord of Searing Flames', 'Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder', or 'Raviel, Lord of Phantasms' from my hand, ignoring its summoning conditions."

Fujiki You Xuan holds high the Phantasm he just searched.

"The hellfire of the triple altars burns away all falsehoods; the final Phantasm of the end—Raviel, Lord of Phantasms, descend!"

Lightning flashes and thunder roars. Within the black clouds, a hulking giant formed of azure electricity—a Phantasm giant bearing a resemblance to Obelisk—descends from beyond the heavens.

【Raviel, Lord of Phantasms, ATK 4000】

"Then, I activate the Field Spell 'Cerulean Skyfire'!"

Raviel lets out a violent roar toward the sky, and the pitch-black field rapidly spreads until it engulfs the entire arena.

"Cerulean Skyfire is a Field Spell that allows me to draw two cards from my Deck once per turn, provided I control one of the three Sacred Beasts."

Fujiki You Xuan says this as he draws two cards.

"I control Raviel, Lord of Phantasms, so I draw two cards from my Deck."

He draws two cards, glances at them, and immediately plays one.

"I activate the Spell Card 'Sacrificial Doll'. By Tributing a monster I control, I can Special Summon a Level 7 monster that can be Normal Summoned from my hand. However, in exchange, the monster summoned by this effect cannot attack this turn."

Fujiki You Xuan points to the defenseless Dark Summoning Beast on the field, which could become a liability.

"I Tribute 'Dark Summoning Beast'," Fujiki You Xuan says. "I Special Summon the Level 7 'Phantasm Summoning Beast' from my hand."

The Summoning Beast on the field dissolves into points of light, replaced by a giant demon with purple wings.

【Phantasm Summoning Beast, ATK 0】

"The effect of Phantasm Summoning Beast: by Tributing this card, I can add 'Uria, Lord of Searing Flames', 'Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder', or 'Raviel, Lord of Phantasms' from my Deck or Graveyard to my hand."

This time, Fujiki You Xuan's Deck seems to ignite with golden flames; a card pops out, and he adds it to his hand.

"I search for 'Uria, Lord of Searing Flames' from my deck," Fujiki You Xuan said, "and after that, I can further Special Summon one Level 10 monster of the Pyro, Thunder, or Fiend type with identical ATK and DEF values from my hand, ignoring its summoning conditions.

Thunderous lightning shatters the earth, descend—Uria, Lord of Searing Flames!"

Lightning flashes and thunder roars as they explode on the ground, erupting into heaven-reaching bolts. Electric light coils around that golden skeletal armor, standing tall between the heaven and earth of the Paradise.

【Uria, Lord of Searing Flames, DEF 4000】

However, unlike the Lord of Phantasms, Harmon's descent is in Defense Position—because Harmon in Defense Position is the strongest shield.

When Uria, Lord of Searing Flames is on the field in Defense Position, the opponent cannot select other monsters as attack targets. And if Harmon in Defense Position is destroyed, then for the duration of this entire turn, all battle and effect damage the controller receives becomes 0.

Off to the side, Judai, who was also in the middle of a duel, couldn't help but glance over: "Oh, summoning two Phantasms in the first turn, that guy Fujiki You Xuan is really something."

"He is Fujiki You Xuan, after all," Yuma also said with a smile.

Fujiki You Xuan finally waved his hand to set one card from his hand: "I set one card, turn end."

"It doesn't matter."

Facing the descent of the two great Phantasms, Shada remained expressionless, his reaction indifferent.

"Before this deck gifted by Lord Zorc, whether it be gods or demons, they will only be swept away.

My turn, draw!"

Shada drew a card.

Following that, he revealed this deck, which shocked even Fujiki You Xuan.

"I summon 'Zoodiac Ratpier'!"

That was a blond youth wearing silver-white armor like a medieval knight. His youthful face had rat-like ears, his cape fluttered behind him, and his massive gauntlets held a knight's blade.

【Zoodiac Ratpier, ATK 0】

Fujiki You Xuan narrowed his eyes: "Zoodiac, huh... Good fellow, no wonder he's so confident."

Uria's loli spirit floated out and asked with some curiosity: "Is it very powerful?"

Fujiki You Xuan thought for a moment: "Hmm... before that 'Lord' came out, it was at the level of the strongest deck in history."

Zoodiac, a deck designed with the twelve zodiac signs as prototypes, was indeed once regarded by many as the strongest in Yu-Gi-Oh history... once.

"That powerful?" Uria was surprised, "Then are you okay?"

"Of course."

Fujiki You Xuan smiled, though he also began to ponder in his heart.

Zoodiac—Zorc has already found a deck of this caliber in the multiverse.

Then why didn't he use it himself, but instead handed it to one of these six gatekeeper priests?

Does he feel that it has poor synergy with himself?

Or perhaps... does he have an even better choice than this?

"When 'Zoodiac Ratpier' is successfully summoned, its effect activates," Shada said, "I send one 'Zoodiac' monster from my deck to the Graveyard."

Shada reached his hand toward his deck, already beginning to prepare his search.

This is not a good rhythm. Fujiki You Xuan clearly knows that if he lets the opponent start here, it might be endless from here on out.

But it doesn't matter, he has a countermeasure.

"Activate set card," Fujiki You Xuan raised his hand, "Continuous Trap 'Awakening of the Possessed - Phantasm'!"

The exclusive trap of the three Phantasms is also an auxiliary card that unleashes the full power of the Phantasms. As the trap activated, the two great Phantasms on the field instantly erupted with astonishing energy, and golden light spots seemed to construct an energy field, shrouding the opponent's entire field.

Shada's deck instantly emitted sizzling electric currents that flicked away his hand as he reached out, and the body of Ratpier was also bound as if by chains constructed of golden energy, completely unable to move.

Shada: "Nani?"

"'Awakening of the Possessed - Phantasm' is a trap that gains different effects based on the number of types of 'Uria, Lord of Searing Flames', 'Raviel, Lord of Phantasms', and 'Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder' present on my field."

"The effect gained when I have two or more types of Phantasms on my field is to negate all monster effects activated on the opponent's field."

Fujiki You Xuan smiled slightly.

"What a pity, it looks like your Zoodiac doesn't seem to be able to move so easily."
