Chapter 1533

The effect of Ancient White Stone activates.

You Xuan reveals this card that was returned from the graveyard, incandescent light rippling across its face.

"This card can be activated during the end phase of the turn it is sent to the graveyard, Special Summoning one 'Blue-Eyes' monster from your Deck."

Thus I Special Summon the 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' that was just shuffled back into the Deck by the effect of 'Ultimate Fusion' from my Deck. A beam of light flies out from the Deck, crashing down like a silver-white waterfall. The White Dragon tumbles and soars, its body twisting, massive wings unfurling as it raises its head and lets out a roar.

【Blue-Eyes White Dragon, ATK 3000】

"At the same time, among the five cards I sent to the graveyard via the effect of 'Future Fusion', the last remaining one is also 'Ancient White Stone'."

You Xuan said.

"Therefore I can Special Summon another 'Blue-Eyes' monster from my Deck. Come forth, White Spirit Dragon!"

【White Spirit Dragon, ATK 2500】

It is well known that although this card does not state it, this card is also a Blue-Eyes in essence; although the name White Spirit Dragon does not contain 'Blue-Eyes', its effect notes that this card is treated as a Blue-Eyes for rule purposes.

"The effect of White Spirit Dragon activates." You Xuan said, "When White Spirit Dragon is successfully Special Summoned, target one Spell or Trap Card on the opponent's field and banish that card from play!"

You Xuan waves his hand, pointing to Zaku's back row.

"Banish that remaining set card as well."

White Spirit Dragon's wings unfold, releasing a storm of pure white particles. Transparent white wind blades sweep toward the opposite side, about to overturn that last wavering set card.

"Then I chain activate the set card," Zaku shouted, "Trap Card, 'Insect Nest'!"

"This card can send the top five cards of your Deck to the graveyard!"

He swiftly drew five cards from the top of his Deck and sent them to the graveyard. The already-activated Trap faded and vanished, banished by White Spirit Dragon's belated effect, but now it was meaningless.

You Xuan's turn proceeds to the End Phase.

"My turn, draw!"

Next comes Zaku's turn. He draws a card, his eyes glowing crimson with barely contained excitement.

"I will activate the effect of 'Marine Beast' discarded from the graveyard by 'Insect Nest'!" Zaku said, "Banish the Marine Beast from the graveyard, then Special Summon one Undead monster from your graveyard."

A second Undead monster flies from his graveyard onto the field.

"Special Summon 'Necromancer'!"

【Necromancer, ATK 1800】

"Oh, so after you traversed the multiverse, witnessed and gathered all kinds of power, the thing you still can't let go of is still Undead?" You Xuan said, "Are you really that obsessed with the power of 'Undead'?"

"Of course. Undead is the foundation of all things. Only by first being Undead can there be everything that follows."

Zaku said blandly, then gave a strange smile.

"But you're right. I have wandered countless worlds, witnessed countless beginnings and endings, and obtained powers once unimaginable, coming to understand that the Duel World holds one new heaven after another.

But in the end, at this very last moment, I have realized that the card capable of truly touching the pinnacle of the Duel World—and also most fitting to bury my hated rival—has always been only 'this'." Zaku said.

You Xuan narrowed his eyes, already sensing something: "'This'? Zaku, could you..."

Zaku suddenly burst into laughter.

"Of course, as befitting a Duel King, you already understand." Zaku said, "Not bad. In the countless multiverses, I found this sole world where a lone Pharaoh King triumphed over darkness.

After that, I devoured that chosen 'me', assimilated that world's Zaku. Naturally, I also took that guy's spoils. That world has since been utterly consumed by darkness, everything in it becoming part of me... even including this once-hated power!"

He said as he sent a card from his hand to the graveyard, stating: "I activate the effect of 'Necromancer'. Discard one monster card from your hand, then Special Summon one Undead monster of Level 4 or lower from the graveyard!"

He selected a card from his hand and sent it to the graveyard. Necromancer began its ritual, ten fingers dancing, energy like strange chains tugging at something in the graveyard, pulling that terrifying form from the tomb.

"Revive 'Pyramid Turtle'!"

【Pyramid Turtle, DEF 2000】

Three undead beings stood upon the earth. Just then, a flash of lightning streaked from the horizon, arcing across the sky and striking the ground, stretching those three phantoms into long shadows.

"Activate the Spell Card 'Soul-Cutting Treasure'."

Zaku said.

"This card allows me to draw from my Deck until my hand has five cards. However, during the Standby Phase five turns later, I must discard all cards in my hand." (Anime effect)

Zaku drew cards from his Deck until his hand was full.

"Three Undead." You Xuan said, "No Normal Summon... you've truly surpassed yourself, Zaku."

"Of course."

Zaku let out a wild laugh, raising the card in his hand.

Lightning fell, dragon shadows coiled. Even before summoning, endless lightning seemed to heed the call, leaping joyfully, overturning heaven and earth.

"I will release 'Necromancer', 'Pyramid Turtle', and 'Cursed Vampire'!"

Zaku's eyes seemed soaked in blood-locks, ferocious and terrifying, but that excitement could not be hidden.

"Amidst the thunder and chaos, appear and become darkness's servant! Former lackey of the Pharaoh King, Osiris, the Sky Dragon!"

A crimson giant dragon appeared in the clouds, still as awe-inspiring as legend, yet no longer bearing its former divine might, only like a wretched trapped beast. Utter darkness soaked into its crimson form; in the sky, lightning flashed not only but was accompanied by torrential rain, like the tears of a god.

Phantom God!

The Supreme Evil God Zaku, after endless searching through the multiverse, finally found a history where the Pharaoh King fell and darkness consumed all, assimilated that reality, and gained everything within it—even including the former Phantom God, once the strongest deity of the Pharaoh King!

"Osiris's ATK is determined by the number of cards in the holder's hand." Zaku said, "Now, my hand has four cards. Therefore, Osiris's ATK becomes four thousand!"

【Osiris the Sky Dragon, ATK 4000】

"Come forth, Osiris! Attack the 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon'! Shatter that dragon that houses Seto Kaiba's obsession!"

Zaku was beyond excited. At the same time, Osiris's massive jaw opened, golden lightning crackling within its maw, simultaneously mixed with endless chaos and darkness.

"Superconducting Wave—Thunder Cannon!"
