Chapter 172

Master Tianma Yuexing: "All the equipment in my Graveyard, summoned as monsters!"

【United We Stand, ATK 500】

【Axe of Despair, ATK 500】

【Jewel Sword, ATK 500】

【Mage Power, ATK 500】

Misawa and Asuka were both shocked; even they were seeing such weird effects for the first time.

I saw four human figures appearing on Yuexing's field, all of which looked like flickering entities constructed purely of energy. Some were holding swords, some were holding axes, and some were magic staves, instantly filling Yuexing's entire field.

"The follow-up effect of 'Armed Reincarnation', the equipment cards summoned through this effect can be regarded as the monsters they were equipped to, and gain the effects of those equipment cards!"

Yuexing continued.

"The effect of United We Stand, the attack power of the equipped monster increases by 800 for each monster on your field! I have five monsters on the field, so it increases by 4000 points!"

【United We Stand, ATK 500 -> ATK 4500】

"Axe of Despair, the equipped monster's attack power increases by 1000!"

【Axe of Despair, ATK 500 -> ATK 1500】

"Jewel Sword, the equipped monster's attack power increases by 300!"

【Jewel Sword, ATK 500 -> ATK 800】

"Mage Power, the equipped monster's attack power increases by 500 for each Spell/Trap card on your field." Tiamen Yexing said, "Because the equipment cards are regarded as monsters and Spell cards on the field at the same time, the number of Spell/Trap cards on my field is 4, so Mage Power's attack power increases by another 2000!"

【Mage Power, ATK 500 -> ATK 2500】

"Not done yet, then activate Spell card 'Powerful Alliance'!" Yuexing said, "Until the end of the turn, all equipment monsters on your field gain 500 attack power for other monsters of the same race!" (Original card)

It is also a card used by Yuexing in the manga. Armed Reincarnation plus Powerful Alliance is his common Combo used for one-turn kills.

"I have four equipment monsters on the field, each letting other three same-race equipment gain 500 attack power. So each piece of equipment will gain 1500 attack power from its other three same-race members!"

【United We Stand, ATK 4500 -> ATK 6000】

【Mage Power, ATK 2500 -> ATK 4000】

【Axe of Despair, ATK 1500 -> ATK 3000】

【Jewel Sword, ATK 800 -> ATK 2300】

Misawa and Asuka's expressions changed: "Suddenly there are so many powerful monsters..."

"Monsters with 6000 and 4000 attack power." Misawa said solemnly, "And it's only his second turn... This is the strength of a legendary duelist..."

"Battle!" Yuexing said, "'United We Stand', attack 'Blade Knight'!"

United We Stand with 6000 attack power, as long as one punch passes, it's a second kill!

"Then activate set card, Trap card 'Monster Swap'!" Fujiki You Xuan said, "Return a monster on your field to the hand, then Special Summon a level 4 or lower monster from the hand.

I return 'Blade Knight' to the hand..."

Blade Knight turned into a golden light, retreating from the field under pressure.

"Then Special Summon 'Apprentice Magician' in Defense Position!"

【Apprentice Magician, DEF 800】

"Using monster swap to defend? Then continue to attack 'Apprentice Magician'!"

United We Stand punched down, and Apprentice Magician exploded into pieces.

And naturally, a golden light flew out from Fujiki You Xuan's deck according to the last words effect.

"Effect of Apprentice Magician, when destroyed in battle, set a 2-star or lower Spellcaster-type monster from the deck on the field in face-down Defense Position. I set the second 'Apprentice Magician'."

Yuexing frowned: "Then first use 'Sage Chiron' to destroy the second Apprentice Magician."

The red light shot by the staff blew up the covered monster, but then another golden light flew out.

"Then set the third 'Apprentice Magician'."

"But in this way, the 'Apprentice Magician' in your deck is exhausted."

Master Tianma Yuexing smiled.

"There are still three monsters on my field that haven't declared an attack, as long as one attack passes, it's over."

Fujiki You Xuan nodded: "It seems that's indeed the case."

"Not nervous at all, which means there are still means..." Yuexing was a bit expectant, waved his hand and continued to order, "Then 'Jewel Sword' attacks the third 'Apprentice Magician'."

The sword light fell, and the covered monster was destroyed again. However, a beam of golden light flew out again.

"Then this time set the DARK level 2 'Old Vindictive Magician' on the field in face-down Defense Position."

Yuexing said: "Use 'Axe of Despair' to attack!"

The humanoid constructed of energy held an axe and slammed down with the momentum of splitting a mountain, the covered monster was split from the middle. The old magician tried his best to wave his staff before retiring, and the light of the curse shot out from the staff.

"'Old Vindictive Magician', activate flip effect." Fujiki You Xuan said, "When flipped, you can select a monster on the opponent's field and destroy it.

I destroy 'Mage Power' used as a monster!"

The light of the curse pierced through the transparent energy humanoid, and the "Mage Power" that remained on Yuexing's field and hadn't attacked yet shattered and dissipated.

"Defended even like this... Powerful. In this way, I indeed have no monsters that can attack."

Yuexing drew two cards from his hand.

"Then set two more cards, turn over." He smiled slightly, "No wonder Tiamen Yexing's evaluation of you is so high."

"Then at the moment of the End Phase, activate set card. Trap card 'Scales of Judgment'." Fujiki You Xuan said, "When the opponent has more cards on the field than the total of your hand and field, draw cards equal to that difference."

Yuexing said: "I have four monsters and two set cards on the field..."

"And my hand is two cards, and there is only 'Scales of Judgment' on the field." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Therefore, draw three cards."

Fujiki You Xuan drew three cards in one breath, and the image of the Trap in the back row gradually blurred and dissipated.

"Then to my turn, draw card."

Fujiki You Xuan drew a card again.

"Summon 'Nephthys's Prayer', Defense Position."

【Nephthys's Prayer, DEF 2000】

"Effect of Prayer, once per turn, you can destroy a card in your hand and add a 'Nephthys' monster other than Prayer from the deck to the hand.

Therefore, I destroy a card in my hand and add 'Nephthys's Narrator' from the deck to the hand."

Searching from the deck, Fujiki You Xuan then drew two more cards.

"Then set two more cards, turn over."

"Is it mainly consolidating the defense line..."

Master Tianma Yuexing looked at the set cards in his back row a few more times, and looked at the prayer girl defending on Fujiki You Xuan's field.

Destroyed a card in his hand to activate the search effect.

The destroyed hand card...

Yuexing thought thoughtfully.

"... My turn, draw card." Yuexing said, "Activate Spell card 'Pot of Greed', draw two more cards from the deck."

Yuexing frowned slightly. The set cards in the back row undoubtedly should have defensive means, but there are no back-row removal cards in his hand for the time being.

Then as a duelist, there is only forward advancement at this time.

"Battle!" Yuexing said, "First is 'United We Stand', attack 'Nephthys's Prayer'!"

The effect of the Spell card "Powerful Alliance" last turn only lasted for one turn, and because the number of monsters on the field changed to four. The effect of United We Stand, attack power increases by 800 for each monster on your field, which is 3200 points.

Plus the 500 attack points of the equipped monster itself, the attack power changed to 3700.

【United We Stand, ATK 3700】

"Activate Trap 'Threatening Roar'." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Your monsters cannot be destroyed in battle this turn, and battle damage is 0."

One punch of United We Stand was about to hit, but the heavy punch only slammed into a transparent barrier and returned without success.

"So that's it, absolute defense trap. Then the Battle Phase is meaningless. Then my Battle Phase is over, but my turn is still continuing."

Yuexing drew another card from his hand.

"I tribute the 'Jewel Sword' used as a monster on the field, Tribute Summon—

—Level 5, Catapult Turtle!"

"Hmm?"

Fujiki You Xuan raised an eyebrow.

Seems like another terrible thing came out?
