Chapter 189: Card-Drawing Thief

"Change of Heart!?"

Ooyama's face sank.

"Not bad, I choose 'Mystic Tomato' on my field, the selected monster is transferred to the opponent's field." Fujiki You Xuan smiled, "And you also need to choose a monster to exchange control to me... Of course, you only have one monster on your field."

"Tch."

Ooyama looked gloomy and could only choose the only "Despair from the Dark" on his field.

So the demon arrived on Fujiki You Xuan's field, and the little tomato jumped and came to Ooyama's field.

"Then Battle Phase." Fujiki You Xuan said, "'Ryu Kokki', attack 'Mystic Tomato'."

Ryu Kokki flew forward, and the skeleton-like iron fist ruthlessly crushed the little tomato's body. The little tomato exploded into fragments, and Ooyama protected his chest with his arms, steadily taking the damage with his strong body.

【Ooyama, LP 4000 -> LP 3000】

"At this moment, 'Mystic Tomato's' effect activates." Fujiki You Xuan said, "When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the graveyard, special summon a Dark-attribute monster with ATK 1500 or less from the deck."

The academic failure Marufuji Sho was surprised again: "Eh? But the tomato was destroyed on the opponent's field, wouldn't it be the opponent's deck searching..."

"During effect processing, Mystic Tomato has already returned to the original owner's graveyard, so it's naturally Student Fujiki You Xuan searching here." Hayato said.

"This... this is so." Marufuji Sho looked sideways at Hayato, "Even you know this..."

Marufuji Sho suddenly felt that looking around, it turned out that the only newbie was me...

"According to Mystic Tomato's effect, special summon 'Don Zaloog'."

【Don Zaloog, ATK 1400】

Ooyama looked gloomy: "Through Change of Heart, let me take the damage, but you can search from the deck?"

"Then 'Despair from the Dark' direct attack." Fujiki You Xuan said.

Hayato said: "Great, if the remaining two consecutive hits pass, it's Fujiki You Xuan's win!"

Asuka was not so optimistic: "But will it be that simple?"

Sure enough, Ooyama said: "Then activate Trap 'Absorb Shield'! Opponent's attack negated, recover Life Points equal to the monster's ATK!"

A colorful protective shield emerged, and the demon's heavy punch hit the protective shield, but the force was absorbed completely.

【Ooyama, LP 3000 -> LP 5800】

As expected, he chose to use the Trap to block the attack of the monster with the highest ATK.

"Then 'Don Zaloog' direct attack."

Don Zaloog took out his gun, "bang bang" two shots, one bullet pierced through Ooyama's heart, and one pierced through one of the cards in his hand.

"Uh..."

【Ooyama, LP 5800 -> LP 4400】

"Don Zaloog's effect, when dealing battle damage, the opponent randomly discards one hand card."

Ooyama looked at the card with the bullet hole image left in his hand, and suddenly let out a low laugh again.

"Heh, it's a pity, your monster hit the card I just drew..."

He revealed that hand card.

"Spell card 'Compensation of Blood', when sent from hand to graveyard, draw two cards!" (Anime card)

"Had a counter-effect again." Marufuji Sho frowned, "This guy's card drawing seems really powerful."

Judai rubbed his hands: "Interesting, I also want to have a collision with him to see."

Fujiki You Xuan: "Then set two cards, turn end."

"At this moment, I activate the remaining face-down card!"

Ooyama's back-row Trap flipped over.

"Continuous Trap - Miracle Draw!" Ooyama said, "Can declare a card name during the Draw Phase. If I draw the declared card, deal 1000 points of damage to the opponent. If I declare wrong, take 1000 damage myself!" (Anime card)

A Continuous Trap used by Ooyama in the anime when dueling Judai.

Everyone who heard this couldn't hide their astonishment.

"What kind of reckless Trap is this!?" Asuka frowned.

"And to declare the card drawn from an entire deck? This kind of thing is basically impossible, right?" Marufuji Sho also felt it was outrageous, "Isn't the probability of taking this damage yourself much greater..."

"Interesting, really so interesting." Judai's eyes continued to shine.

"Then it's my turn, I'm going to draw!"

Ooyama closed his eyes, his fingers placed on the top of the deck, as if he were completely immersed in the moment of drawing the card.

"The truth of card drawing is like flowing water, the flowing water that has been ancient for millions of years. I can feel it, I can feel it, my next card is—"

"—Card Thief!" (Anime card)

Ooyama drew the card with a "swish," and then displayed it; it was indeed the Normal Spell card "Card Thief" he declared.

"Are you kidding? Really hit it!?" Marufuji Sho was extremely surprised.

Asuka was also speechless for a while, just looking up and down at this student who looked like a savage.

Could it be that this person really practiced the power to see the future destiny in a duel in the mountains?

"Therefore, you will receive 1000 points of damage." Ooyama said.

"Actually hit it, amazing." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Then activate Trap 'Energy Absorption Plate'. Change the effect damage dealt by the opponent's card to LP recovery of the corresponding value."

Basically, it's an effect-damage version of Absorb Shield. A huge rectangular absorption plate emerged in front of him, and the stimulated energy penetrated through the absorption plate, turning into golden light and sinking into Fujiki You Xuan's body.

【Fujiki You Xuan, LP 1400 -> LP 2400】

"Oh, as expected of Fujiki You Xuan." Judai was very happy, "It's not that easy to be defeated either."

Ooyama also nodded with satisfaction: "It's not such an opponent that I can't verify the results of my practice."

"Then I activate this card drawn from my hand, Spell card 'Card Thief'!"

"Let the opponent draw one card from the deck. If I can guess the type of card drawn (Spell, Trap, Monster), then all cards in the opponent's hand and field are returned to the deck and shuffled!"

Also an anime original card used by Ooyama when dueling Judai.

Everyone was shocked again: "What kind of reckless effect is this again?"

Asuka looked at Ooyama suspiciously: "Not only can you predict the card you draw yourself, but you can also predict the card the opponent draws?"

This is already a superpower, right?

Fujiki You Xuan drew the card as instructed.

Ooyama closed his eyes and brewed for an hour.

Then he opened his eyes suddenly, shouting with a "the culprit is you" Death-style pose: "What you drew is a Spell card!"

Fujiki You Xuan smiled lightly and revealed the card he drew.

Spell card - Pot of Greed.

"Indeed."

However, Ooyama seemed to have restrained himself here. When he used "Card Thief" in the anime, he not only saw through that Judai drew a Spell card, but even accurately stated that Judai drew "Fusion Recovery."

Being able to guess exactly which card it was, it was definitely in the realm of superpowers.

Of course, this performance didn't seem to be absolutely stable either. In the next turn of his own in the anime, Ooyama guessed wrong when he guessed the card he drew himself. From the performance, it seemed that he was finally overwhelmed by Judai's "momentum," his heart was chaotic, and his card drawing collapsed.

"Therefore, according to the effect of 'Card Thief'."

Ooyama waved his hand.

"All cards on your field and in your hand are returned to the deck and shuffled!"
