Chapter 240: Original Emotion

Hearing Judai's words, Fujiki You Xuan was stunned.

"Why do you say that?"

"Ah, actually it's nothing."

Judai hesitated, frowning as if brewing.

"Actually, I've had this feeling for a while. Fujiki You Xuan's duel, how should I put it? Very amazing, very imaginative, you might be the strongest guy I've ever met.

But I still feel a little bit of regret..."

"Regret?"

"Can't say that either."

Judai put away his smile and said seriously.

"Actually, it was you who told me that dueling isn't just about being happy. I understand this point, especially after meeting that Shell.

I know that there are duels in the world for taking lives, or even more important things. Dueling can sometimes be heavy, and sometimes we have things we have to carry in a duel."

He paused, then looked at Fujiki You Xuan sincerely.

"But I think even so, dueling itself is still something that makes people enjoy it. And it's not just about being tense and heavy, I think dueling should bring happiness at the very beginning, not just as a tool for winning."

He said a bit stuck, and after brewing for a while, he scratched his head embarrassedly.

"Actually, I don't understand very well, it's just that sometimes I feel that Fujiki You Xuan hasn't fully enjoyed the fun of dueling. Of course, it's not to say there's anything bad, it's just that sometimes I feel it's a pity.

Look, I've already tried my best and performed better than ever before. But even so, Fujiki You Xuan can still deal with it easily.

Fujiki You Xuan's Chaos Soldier, Silent Magician, and my heroes... everyone is fighting so hard, every turn I look forward to what kind of means Fujiki You Xuan will use to attack, and how he will catch my counterattack. Just thinking about it makes me look forward to it.

If I'm having such an interesting duel, it would be too regrettable if only I could feel the fun..."

Fujiki You Xuan pondered.

Is this the secret of the jellyfish head's god-drawing?

If one has to say, he is indeed not as enthusiastic about dueling as Judai, but there is nothing strange about this, there are very few people in this world who can compare to the jellyfish head's extraordinary fiery enthusiasm.

But at the same time, Judai also has incredible talent.

He can make everyone who comes into contact with him feel his enthusiasm and be infected by him. It's as if the fire on him can be passed on to the people around him.

People influenced by him will not only ignite their enthusiasm for dueling, but also miraculously improve their performance in dueling under the blessing of this strange BUFF.

Fujiki You Xuan closed his eyes lightly.

At this moment, on this duel field, facing the cheers and shouts of the surrounding audience, facing this duel with Judai, something seems to have touched a corner of his heart that has been dusty for a long time.

The longing when he first came into contact with this game called "Yu-Gi-Oh!" as a child and saw those handsome monsters on the TV screen.

Countless distant images came one after another from his memory. The fierce battle of the God cards between Yugi and Kaiba at the Battle City Arena, the back of the King leaving an thumb-up to the unsatisfied audience when he disappeared in the light, the moment Judai chose to fuse himself with Yubel, and the shock of Yusei printing the Shooting Star Dragon for the first time to break through the haze in later works...

Since when did these memories seem to fade?

Fujiki You Xuan opened his eyes again.

"I understand." He smiled slightly, "Then as you wish, Judai. Next, regardless of victory or defeat, I will accompany you to enjoy this duel to the end."

Judai bloomed with a smile again.

"Heh, that's the way it should be." He set up his stance, paused, and said with a smile, "But I'll say it first, I'll be the one who wins in the end."

"Heh, that's hard to say. My turn, draw!" Fujiki You Xuan said, "I also activate this card from my hand—

—Quick-Play Spell 'Very Hungry'.

Send magic and trap cards on your field to the graveyard, and recover 1000 life points for each card. I send the Continuous Trap 'Waterfall of the Thunder God' to the graveyard and recover life points!"

The Continuous Trap dissipated into light spots, and the energy was absorbed into Fujiki You Xuan's own body.

【Fujiki You Xuan, LP1000 -> LP2000】

"Recovering life points... no." Judai sensed something, "Is the purpose to lift the restriction of 'Waterfall of the Thunder God' on yourself?"

The impact of this trap on him is definitely much greater than on Fujiki You Xuan himself, but it is not that there is no impact at all. "Neither side can send monsters from the hand to the graveyard", it affects more than just Fusion Summoning.

"Not bad, I then activate this card..." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Ritual Spell 'Super Soldier Ritual'!

Send light or dark attribute monsters from your hand to the graveyard until the total level is eight, then send the opposite attribute light/dark attribute monster from the deck to the graveyard, and use those two monsters as materials for Ritual Summon!

I use the 4-star light-attribute 'Beginning Knight' in my hand and the 4-star dark-attribute 'Evening Twilight Knight' in the deck as ritual materials, Ritual Summon!"

The ritual altar appeared, and the two young knights turned into light and dark energy and disappeared into the altar. The chaotic vortex soared into the sky.

"One soul guides the light, one soul guides the darkness, the gate to chaos opens here—"

Fujiki You Xuan raised his hand.

"Ritual Summon, Chaos Soldier, descend!"

In the vortex of light and darkness, the sword of chaos slashed open the world. Chaos Soldier swirled in the storm and descended with the oppression of a god.

【Chaos Soldier, Attack Power 3000】

"Appeared, Chaos Soldier!" Judai's face was full of excitement, "The legendary warrior who has been fighting with Mr. Yugi Muto since the Duelist Kingdom period!"

"'Evening Twilight Knight' gains additional effects when used as a ritual material for Chaos Soldier." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Once per turn, remove a monster on the opponent's field from the game.

I remove 'Elemental HERO Bubbleman' in defense position on your field from the game!

Twilight Dimension Slash!"

Judai has five monsters on the field, four Normal Monsters are in Attack Position, only Bubbleman is in Defense Position.

"Then at this moment, activate set card!" Judai said, "Trap Card 'Elemental Charge'! I recover Life Points equal to the number of 'Elemental HERO' on my field x 1000.

I have five Elemental HEROes on the field, so I recover 5000 Life Points!"

【Judai, LP5300→LP10300】

Marufuji Sho exclaimed: "Life Points ten thousand!"

But Misawa said in a deep voice: "It won't last long."

"Then activate the effect Black Luster Soldier gained from the Ritual Material 'Envoy of the Beginning', once per turn, banish one monster on the opponent's field from the game.

This time banish 'Elemental HERO Sparkman'!

Beginning Dimension Slash!"

The sword of the Beginning fell, and Sparkman also disappeared in a distortion of dimensions.

"Then activate Equip Magic 'Wonder Wand', equip it to 'Silent Magician LV8'. This card can only be equipped to a Spellcaster-type monster, and the equipped monster's attack power increases by 500.

Silent Magician is unaffected by the opponent's Magic Card effects, but Magic effects controlled by oneself can be accepted."

【Silent Magician LV8, ATK 3500→ATK 4000】

"Battle." Fujiki You Xuan said, "First, 'Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning', attack 'Elemental HERO Avian'!"

Judai: "Skyscraper's effect, Avian's attack power increases by 1000 points!"

The sword of the Beginning slashed down, Avian resisted with all his might, but was still slashed open and exploded on the spot.

【Judai, LP10300→LP9300】

"'Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning' can make an additional attack when it destroys an opponent's monster by battle." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Therefore, continue to attack 'Elemental HERO Burstinatrix'!"

Judai: "Burstinatrix also increases attack power by 1000 points under Skyscraper's effect!"

The storm of sword blades swept past, and Burstinatrix also failed after struggling to support.

【Judai, LP9300→LP8500】

"'Black Luster Soldier's attack." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Attack 'Elemental HERO Clayman'."

"Then the effect of 'Necro Gardna' in the Graveyard!" Judai said, "Banish Necro Gardna from the Graveyard, negate the opponent's attack once!

Negate 'Black Luster Soldier's attack!"

The phantom of Necro Gardna appeared, blocking the sky full of sword shadows of Black Luster Soldier.

"The effect gained from 'Envoy of the Beginning', Black Luster Soldier can also make an additional attack when it destroys an opponent's monster by battle, right." Judai smiled, "But if the first attack is negated, subsequent attacks cannot continue."

"Indeed."

Fujiki You Xuan nodded.

"Then finally, 'Silent Magician LV8' attacks 'Elemental HERO Clayman'." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Silent Magic Blast!"

Silent Magician was already ready, and the swirling magic power brewed a huge light ball in her staff.

"Clayman's attack power also increases to 1800 under Skyscraper's effect!"

【Silent Magician LV8, ATK 4000】

【Elemental HERO Clayman, ATK 1800】

"Uwah!"

Judai was directly blown to the ground.

【Judai, LP8500→LP6300】

"Battle Phase end. Then use the other effect of 'Wonder Wand', send the equipped monster and this card to the Graveyard, draw two cards from the deck."

Fujiki You Xuan drew two more cards.

"Then set four cards." Fujiki You Xuan waved his hand and added four more back-row cards, "Turn end."
