Chapter 246

"Battle Phase!"

Tomoki waved his hand and shouted.

"Summoned Skull, attack the set monster!"

The Fiend spread its wings, and endless thunder was released. The lightning in the dark clouds churned and roared like an angry golden dragon, with the momentum of thunder moving through the nine heavens, descending toward the monster Fujiki You Xuan set in the front row.

Boom!

The set card flipped, the monster's image flashed and disappeared, and was soon annihilated into ashes under the thunder.

"Then the set 'Magical Merchant', effect activates," Fujiki You Xuan said, "When Magical Merchant is flipped, flip cards from the top of your deck until a Magic or Trap card appears."

"The first Magic or Trap card confirmed among them is added to the hand, and the rest are all sent to the graveyard."

"Huo, the effect of searching for Magic/Traps, huh," Tomoki didn't care.

Fujiki You Xuan flipped seven cards from the deck in a row, then showed the seventh card: "I add the Magic Card 'Reasoning' to my hand, and the rest are all sent to the graveyard."

Six cards were sent to the graveyard with a clatter.

Tomoki frowned slightly.

Reasoning is also a Magic Card that flips cards from the top of the deck until a summonable monster appears, which is somewhat similar to Magical Merchant.

Is this guy looking for some specific combination?

"But in this way, you have no wall monsters on the field," Tomoki said, "Then 'Archfiend of Lightning - Skull Archfiend', direct attack!"

The thunderclouds churned again, and the lightning gathered in the hands of Skull Archfiend, released like a javelin. The tyrannical lightning swept toward Fujiki You Xuan's face, accompanied by a sharp roar.

"Then activate the set card," Fujiki You Xuan said, "Trap Card 'Dimensional Prison'. When the opponent declares an attack, that attacking monster is removed from play."

The rift of the dimension appeared, blocking in front of Fujiki You Xuan, and took the thunder and lightning that Skull Archfiend had roared toward him.

"Hmph, that's right, Dimensional Prison is also a targeting effect, because of the effect of 'Rare Metal Armor', you can only activate it against Skull Archfiend," Tomoki chuckled, "However, when Skull Archfiend becomes the target of an effect, its own effect is also triggered."

"Fiend's Roulette!"

Six balls, each printed with numbers from 1 to 6, floated above Tomoki's palm. Flames ignited on the ball with the number 1, and it began to rotate clockwise.

"Use these numbers to replace the dice. Wherever the flame finally stops randomly, it represents which number the dice decided. As long as any one of the numbers 1, 3, or 6 appears, the activation of Dimensional Prison becomes invalid."

The flames began to spin, for a moment like a rotating wind and fire wheel. Immediately, the flames began to slow down until they stopped at the ball with the number 3.

"Ha, the number 3 appeared," Tomoki's mouth raised, "Therefore, the effect of 'Dimensional Prison' is negated and destroyed!"

Skull Archfiend roared, and the exploding lightning pierced the rift of the dimension. It seemed that even that dimensional barrier could not bear the power of the Fiend, and soon exploded.

"Therefore, the attack continues!"

Boom!

Lightning fell, as if the entire virtual venue trembled under the impact of thunder. The deafening thunder echoed in the air, and the lightning exploded with the Fiend as the center. The skeleton body looked even more ferocious and distorted under the reflection of thunder and fire.

The exploding data stream rolled over Fujiki You Xuan, the virtual body appeared with a brief image distortion, and at the same time took away the virtual LP of the ATK value of Skull Archfiend.

【Fujiki You Xuan, LP4000 -> LP1500】

Fujiki You Xuan stood firmly and calmly took the damage, chuckled: "As expected of a senior in the league, it's a really effective combination."

Saito Tomoki seemed to enjoy it quite a bit, couldn't help but hold his head high and chest out: "That's natural. You don't have to be discouraged. After all, I am a professional. It's normal for you to feel pressure."

"Don't be nervous, you just need to play normally."

As he said this, he drew another card.

"Set a card on the field, turn ends."

"Thank you, senior. Then I will 'play normally' next,"

Fujiki You Xuan said gently.

"My turn, draw."

"Activate the Magic Card 'Adversity's Treasure'. When the opponent has a Special Summoned monster and I have no monsters on the field, I draw two cards from the deck." (Original card)

Tomoki nodded in approval like a patient senior: "Very good. Don't think about victory or defeat first, focus on the duel, and just show your style."

"Okay, senior," Fujiki You Xuan responded, "Then I will continue to activate the Magic Card 'Reasoning' searched in the last turn. The opponent declares a level, and I flip cards from the top of the deck until a summonable monster appears."

"If you flip a monster of the level declared by the opponent, that monster is sent to the graveyard."

"If the monster flipped is different from the level declared by the opponent, that monster can be Special Summoned."

Tomoki thought for a moment.

So far, Fujiki You Xuan has only used Magical Merchant, and it is impossible to tell what deck it is. But normally, declaring Level 4 has the highest probability.

"I declare Level 4," Tomoki said.

"Okay, senior, then I'm going to start flipping."

Fujiki You Xuan flipped three cards in one breath, and this time the monster card appeared on the third card.

"What a pity, senior, what I flipped is Level 1, 'Mystic Piper'."

Tomoki nodded: "You summon it."

At the same time, he was even more confused.

What kind of deck is this?

"Then according to the effect of Reasoning, I Special Summon 'Mystic Piper'."

【Mystic Piper, ATK 0】

"Then all the remaining cards flipped are sent to the graveyard."

Fujiki You Xuan put the other two cards into the graveyard area of the duel disk, and the two cards entered the graveyard one after another.

"Then the effect of 'Mystic Piper' activates," Fujiki You Xuan said, "Tribute this card to draw a card from the deck."

"If I draw a Level 1 monster, I can show that card and then draw another card."

During the conversation, the Mystic Piper on his field had already blown a melodious flute sound, and then its body disintegrated into faint light spots and dissipated.

"The effect of Mystic Piper, I draw a card from the deck."

Fujiki You Xuan drew the card, glanced at it, and showed it.

"The card I drew is the Level 1 monster 'Candy Clown', so I draw another card."

Fujiki You Xuan drew a card again.

Tomoki only then thought that the "Magical Merchant" before was also a Level 1 monster. Come to think of it, he should have declared Level 1 when Reasoning was used just now.

But who would have thought that someone's deck would be full of Level 1 monsters?

Really couldn't tell what the opponent's routine was, Tomoki couldn't help but ask: "You wouldn't happen to have all Level 1 monsters in your deck, would you?"

"How could that be, there are still high-level ones," Fujiki You Xuan smiled, but paused, then added, "But 90% are."

Tomoki was dazed.

Then how are you going to win?

Could it be that you can still ram me to death with Kuriboh headbutt?
