Chapter 316

"Heh, Deck Destruction Virus is indeed powerful, but to think you could defeat me with just this level of play is far too naive," Ye Ying scoffed. "See this? This is the power the gods have bestowed upon me!

Even in a desperate situation, I can create an opportunity for a comeback; even if you use dirty and underhanded methods, it's useless!"

Fujiki You Xuan tilted his head.

Dirty and underhanded? Does he mean deck destruction and hand destruction?

Yet, 【Hand Destruction】 and 【Minai Virus】 are both top-tier builds developed by players, and they are the recognized correct way to play the Dark Scorpion Thieves.

Isn't that how Yu-Gi-Oh! is supposed to be played in the first place?

I don't get it.

"My turn, draw."

Fujiki You Xuan drew a card, then calmly revealed the card he had drawn.

"Pot of Greed, draw two more cards from the deck."

Fujiki You Xuan drew two more.

"I Normal Summon 'Witch of the Black Forest'."

【Witch of the Black Forest, ATK 1100】

"I equip 'Wonder Wand' to 'Witch of the Black Forest'. This card can only be equipped to a Spellcaster-type monster, and it increases ATK by 500," Fujiki You Xuan said.

【Witch of the Black Forest, ATK 1100 → ATK 1600】

"Heh, even with that boost, it still can't compare to the Chaos Rider buffed by the Seal of Orichalcos."

"Don't be so hasty. I'll use the second effect of Wonder Wand. I send the equipped monster and this card to the Graveyard to draw two cards from my deck."

Fujiki You Xuan drew two cards, then smiled slightly.

"And since Witch of the Black Forest was sent to the Graveyard, I add a monster with 1500 or less DEF from my deck to my hand. The one I'm adding from my deck is this one..."

【Exiled Force - Magician of Faith, DEF 1200】

"Then I activate the Spell Card 'Hand Destruction'!" Fujiki You Xuan said. "Both players discard their entire hands, then draw the same number of cards!"

Ye Ying frowned: "Exiled Force, that guy's effect is..."

"Correct. During the turn 'Exiled Force - Magician of Faith' is sent to the Graveyard, I can activate Trap Cards from my hand this turn." (Old version effect)

Fujiki You Xuan quickly played another card from his hand.

"Next, I activate the Quick-Play Spell 'Kuriboh Call'." Fujiki You Xuan said. "I Special Summon 'Kuriboh' from my deck to the field."

"Kuri-kuri!"

Kuriboh leaped out and jumped to the front row.

【Kuriboh, ATK 300】

Ye Ying was very puzzled: "Another new piece of trash?"

He pondered for a moment, his brow furrowing even tighter.

"You guy... could it be that your deck is full of this trash?"

Playing until now, it's been nothing but low-level trash; I haven't seen a single high-level monster. No, wait, I haven't even seen anything with more than 1500 ATK.

Does he really intend to beat me with this bunch of bottom-feeders?

"Equip Spell 'Rainbow Blessing', I equip it to Kuriboh." (Original card)

The Spell Card appeared, and Kuriboh's entire body turned rainbow-colored, shimmering with seven-colored light.

"Then I offer Kuriboh as an Offering. After Kuriboh equipped with 'Rainbow Blessing' is sacrificed, all my monsters can attack directly this turn."

Ye Ying frowned: "So that's it, you want to bypass the front row and attack directly just because they're all low-ATK trash."

But immediately after, he chuckled softly.

"What a pity. If I hadn't recovered my Life Points last turn, I might have been finished off by you," he sneered. "But my Life Points are now a full 3900; just with that trash in your hand..."

Fujiki You Xuan was amused.

Some people are already dead; they just haven't realized it yet.

"The effect of Exiled Force - Magician of Faith: I can activate Trap Cards from my hand this turn. Therefore..."

Fujiki You Xuan smiled and revealed a card in his hand.

"Continuous Trap 'Call of the Haunted', I revive a monster from my Graveyard in Attack Position. The one I'm reviving is the card I searched with Minai's effect last turn and just discarded via Hand Destruction—"

"—Dark Scorpion - Chick the Yellow."

【Dark Scorpion - Chick the Yellow, ATK 1000】

"And according to the effect of 'Rainbow Blessing', I can attack directly this turn," Fujiki You Xuan waved his hand. "Dark Scorpion - Chick the Yellow, cross the rainbow bridge set up by Kuriboh and attack directly!"

Chick leaped up, slid forward along the rainbow bridge, and slapped Ye Ying so hard his vision went black, causing him to stagger back half a step.

【Ye Ying, LP 3900 → LP 2900】

"Tch, this level of damage..."

Ye Ying curled his lip, stood up, and casually brushed the dust off his body.

"Heh, I can barely feel it. Are you really trying?"

"Haha, I'm sorry I didn't satisfy the lord of Doma. But don't worry, it's not over yet," Fujiki You Xuan smiled.

"Then, the effect of 'Dark Scorpion - Chick the Yellow' also activates."

"When this card inflicts battle damage to the opponent, I can return one card on the field to its owner's hand."

"One card on the field? Chaos Rider? Or the Seal?" Ye Ying sneered. "If that's your plan, I advise you to give up on it early.

The Seal of Orichalcos is invincible; once activated, it cannot leave the field in any form..."

Fujiki You Xuan smiled: "In fact, the card I'm returning to the hand is this one."

He pointed to his back row.

Continuous Trap - Call of the Haunted.

Ye Ying: "?"

Huh?

What does this mean? Giving me a card to show friendliness?

"But Call of the Haunted has a restriction. When this card leaves the field, the monster Special Summoned by its effect must be destroyed."

Fujiki You Xuan shrugged.

"Therefore, 'Dark Scorpion - Chick the Yellow' is destroyed."

Boom!

With a loud explosion, Chick on the field exited the stage in a cloud of black smoke.

"Hmm, you want to use this method to recycle the Trap and reuse it?" Ye Ying seemed to understand a little. "But so what? Your Graveyard only has a bunch of trash; even if you recycle the Trap, no matter what you revive, it's just..."

When he said this, his words came to an abrupt halt, his pupils shaking as if he had thought of something extremely terrifying.

Right.

For the entire turn that Exiled Force - Magician of Faith is sent to the Graveyard, the opponent can activate Trap Cards from their hand.

Doesn't that mean... doesn't that mean...

"I activate the Continuous Trap 'Call of the Haunted' from my hand once again."

Fujiki You Xuan smiled and revealed the Trap in his hand.

"I Special Summon 'Dark Scorpion - Chick the Yellow' for the second time."

【Dark Scorpion - Chick the Yellow, ATK 1000】

"Because it's a monster re-summoned using a Trap effect during the Battle Phase, it can of course attack again," Fujiki You Xuan waved his hand. "Therefore, once again, through the rainbow channel left by Kuriboh, I attack directly."

Chick sped across the front row along the rainbow bridge and slapped Ye Ying in the face again.

Ye Ying: "Ugh!"

【Ye Ying, LP 2900 → LP 1900】

"Then Chick's effect activates again. When inflicting battle damage, return one card on the field to the owner's hand.

I return 'Call of the Haunted' to my hand."

Fujiki You Xuan took the Trap back into his hand.

"At the same time, because the Trap left the field, the monster summoned by the Trap effect is destroyed and returns to the Graveyard. Then I activate the Continuous Trap 'Call of the Haunted' from my hand once again to revive 'Dark Scorpion - Chick the Yellow'..."

"..."

Ye Ying's expression twisted, and he had already begun to shake his head desperately and retreat repeatedly.

"No, no, no, no... this is impossible..."

Every time he activates the Trap to re-summon Chick, the state resets, allowing for a direct attack. And once the direct attack goes through, Chick's effect triggers, the Trap returns to the hand, and Chick is destroyed and returns to the Graveyard. Then, as long as he activates the Trap again to revive Chick, he can re-enter the cycle above...

Infinite LOOP!

Never mind 4000 Life Points; even if it were 10,000, a million, or even infinite, one would be tortured to death, slapped one by one in this infinite cycle!

"Ugh!"

As the third slap landed, Ye Ying's face was already swollen, and as he knelt to the ground, his gaze began to blur.

【Ye Ying, LP 900】

The black fog of the Shadow Game and the green light of the Seal of Orichalcos intertwined, making Fujiki You Xuan's smile look exceptionally sinister, like a demon admiring prey that had already fallen into his cage.

Ye Ying retreated in terror, desperately trying to get away, only to realize his sweat-soaked back had hit a solid barrier.

It was the border of the Seal of Orichalcos.

The barrier he had activated himself was now like a cage trapping him.

He had locked himself and a demon in a cage, and now he was the one who couldn't escape.

"... The final blow, the fourth strike," Fujiki You Xuan said. "Chick's direct attack!"

The final slap landed, causing Ye Ying to see stars, and finally, unable to bear the burden, his body tilted and he collapsed heavily to the ground.

【Ye Ying, LP 0】
