Chapter 356: The Joy of the Apostle

France was a bit hesitant when he first heard this idea, but after Fujiki You Xuan continued to guide and open up his thinking, his eyes soon lit up, and he gradually became excited.

In addition to the cards of "other forms of The Winged Dragon of Ra", Fujiki You Xuan also proposed a series of support cards that possess power similar to the gods, as well as some support cards that can facilitate the search and dispatch of the gods.

In fact, they hadn't developed related cards before. For example, the exclusive association card used by France to summon The Winged Dragon of Ra in the anime, "The Sun God's Apostle".

This card was also made into a real card, but the difference from the anime was quite large.

The effect of "The Sun God's Apostle" in the anime was that when the summon was successful, two other cards of the same name could be added to the hand from the deck.

After being made into a real card, this part of the effect was upgraded. When the Apostle's summon was successful, not only could it search for two cards of the same name from the deck, but it could even directly Special Summon them from the deck to the field, gathering three Tributes for summoning the god in one go.

However, the effect that seemed very strong at first glance was added with quite a painful restriction. That is, as long as the Apostle exists in the monster zone, its controller cannot perform any form of Special Summon other than the Apostle's effect.

This severe restriction basically made the real card Sun God's Apostle lose most of its uses, and there was basically no room for it to appear.

In contrast, looking at it from the values of the past environment, its anime effect was very powerful. As long as the summon was successful, it could increase two cards in hand out of thin air. This kind of violent resource-earning performance was very rare in the Yu-Gi-Oh environment for a long time.

"To be honest, I think the 'Sun God's Apostle' you developed also has potential." Fujiki You Xuan said seriously, "If possible, can you give our laboratory one for research?"

"It's possible..."

France felt a bit strange.

"But this card was originally designed for quickly summoning The Winged Dragon of Ra. But now the summoning problem of the Egyptian Gods hasn't been solved, what's the use of this?"

Fujiki You Xuan smiled mysteriously: "This... although this card is a derivative card designed for The Winged Dragon of Ra, I think there may be some unexpected potential."

Although the real card Sun God's Apostle had almost no use in serious tactics because of its severe restriction, the vast number of players who like to "report" (troll) discovered the potential of this card.

"As long as this card exists in the monster zone, the controller cannot Special Summon," such a painful restriction basically cut off the opportunity for this card to play a role in its own tactics.

But the "underworld" people with strange ideas soon thought, what if I send this thing to the opponent's field, so the opponent can't Special Summon anymore, wouldn't that be very happy?

So, clearly a derivative card prepared for summoning the gods was forcibly pioneered into the underworld school of Apostle lockdown. The idea was to use various means to send this Apostle to the opponent's field, so the opponent could only stare at this Apostle and be unable to do anything...

Cannot Special Summon, even meaning that even in the future Yu-Gi-Oh, you can't use him as material for Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, Link, etc.

And you can't even Tribute him for a Normal Summon. Because this painful Apostle effect even added a sentence, "This card cannot be Tributed except for the Tribute Summon of The Winged Dragon of Ra."

In other words, this Apostle was also firm in his faith and only recognized The Winged Dragon of Ra. In other cases, whether it was using card effects or Tribute Summoning, he didn't recognize it at all. It was simply a stubborn nail. Once successfully inserted into the opponent's field, the opponent's mentality would easily explode.

That's why it's said that The Winged Dragon of Ra is the most "underworld" Egyptian God, regardless of the fact that it was the strongest Egyptian God held by the sunny boy Marik in Duel City back then. Even one of the cannon fodder derived from it perfectly inherited the underworld bloodline...

"Fine." France also readily agreed.

Now Fujiki You Xuan was quite famous in the card-making field, and many teams hoped to get in touch with him to get some inspiration. Moreover, the Sun God's Apostle was just an ordinary four-star monster, and apart from the gimmick of "Sun God exclusive" which could increase its value, it actually had no value itself.

So France was generous and simply said he would give Fujiki You Xuan three copies for research when he went back.

Fujiki You Xuan was also very satisfied. The harvest from seeing this main designer of The Winged Dragon of Ra team was quite okay.

Even if he couldn't figure out the correct posture to control the Egyptian Gods in the end, even if he only got a bird egg of The Winged Dragon of Ra and a traitorous Apostle, it was quite good.

These two cards should be enough to make the opponent feel the gold content of the strongest Egyptian God...

When he saw Gui Ping again, he was talking to someone enthusiastically, his tone quite excited, sounding like they were arguing about something.

He hung up the phone, turned back to see Fujiki You Xuan, and let out a long breath.

"It's really a headache, things are endless..."

"The competition?" Fujiki You Xuan asked.

"Yeah. Such a huge disaster occurred during Duel City, and it seems that many people were injured during the period. Fortunately, there were no deaths for the time being..."

"But it's already a big enough headache. Some people are already pressuring to terminate this Duel City competition, saying it's too dangerous to continue..."

"Hmm, but it should continue, right?"

"That's natural." Gui Ping said as a matter of course.

After all, it was a card game tournament held by the President, and the President couldn't allow it to be abandoned halfway.

"It's just that I'll be a bit busy these two days, and my brother was forced to go back to see the board of directors first... So speaking of this, there is something I want to ask you for help..."

Gui Ping said, hesitating.

"But actually, I don't know if it's appropriate..."

"It's okay, say it."

Fujiki You Xuan waved his hand, indicating that we are so familiar with each other, what else can't be said.

"Okay, it's that guy named Lu Ka, the new Xin Xin Duoma musketeer. After he fought with my brother, we were quite concerned about him, so we sent people to investigate."

"Although there is no clear progress, the clues point to a small town... a place called Qingshui Town, have you heard of it?"

Fujiki You Xuan shook his head: "No. Is there anything special there?"

"That's the problem, we don't know what's special there. But if the clues are reliable, that Xin Xin Duoma musketeer really went to that place, and it's at this juncture..."

"What do you think is there?" Fujiki You Xuan understood.

"No, I can't say that clearly yet, it's just a guess."

Fujiki You Xuan nodded: "You need someone to investigate there. But if it's just to confirm, you shouldn't be short of manpower."

"Yes, but for some reasons, I want to send a powerful duelist to be safer. Because..."

Gui Ping hesitated for a moment and said.

"To tell you the truth, there was actually half a duelist we were quite familiar with nearby. If it were him, there should be nothing to worry about in terms of strength. When I first noticed this town, I tried to contact him."

"But for some reason, I haven't been able to contact him until now, and I have a bad premonition..."

"Oh? Which big shot is it? Do I know him?"

"You shouldn't know him, but you must have heard his name." Gui Ping said, "He is Katsuya Jonouchi, who made it to the top four in the first Duel City."
