Chapter 422

"Shining Nova!"

Following Kaiba's shout, the Dragon of Light melted as if it had turned into a scorching sun, and the brilliance swept across You Xuan's entire field, blowing his entire field clean.

Even the invincible Dark Paladin was helpless—he is invincible at dragon-slaying, but he can only slay dragons.

Unfortunately, the dragon on the opposite side didn't talk about martial arts, and actually put on a layer of Divine-Beast skin. At this, he was immediately helpless and could only helplessly evaporate and disappear in the white light.

Watching the domineering swordsman exit the field, Judai couldn't help but say dazed: "Even such a powerful Dark Paladin was..."

"Hehe, that's natural," Mokuba rubbed his nose, a bit proud. "Because that is my brother... the legendary Kaiba Seto."

Yes, nothing to worry about.

Brother's duel... is the strongest.

"Even Dark Paladin doesn't work... As expected of the President," You Xuan was helpless.

"In just half a year, you actually grew to this point," Kaiba also said faintly. "Fujiki You Xuan, even I have to admit that you have exceeded my imagination."

After a pause, he smiled slightly.

"Perhaps, you are the duelist I am waiting for... Hmph, but not today, not so fast."

Yes, he had delayed too long.

This time, since he is making a comeback, the position of Duel King is something he is determined to win.

It doesn't matter who is blocking the way.

"Although all the cards on my field have been destroyed by Shining Dragon, my Battle Phase is not over yet," You Xuan said faintly.

Kaiba frowned.

"Oh? But you don't have a single card left on your field," he said faintly. "And there are no monsters that can be used for attacking. In such a situation, do you want to say that your attack is not over yet?"

"Not bad."

"Heh... interesting," Kaiba chuckled. "Then let me see. Having reached such a situation, such a predicament, how will you counter-attack!"

"As you wish."

A transparent shadow appeared behind You Xuan.

"Executioner - Makyura!"

"That guy is..." Kaiba's thoughts turned, and he understood instantly.

"Not bad, when 'Fusion Birth' was activated, I didn't just draw two fusion materials, there were three other cards sent to the Graveyard, one of which was 'Executioner - Makyura'!"

You Xuan said.

"In the turn Executioner is sent to the Graveyard, I can activate Trap Cards from my hand this turn. First is this one..."

You Xuan waved his hand, and the Trap Card appeared in front of him.

"Trap Card 'High-Speed Chant'!

Discard one Spell Card from my hand, and this trap can be activated as the effect of that card! As a cost, I cannot activate any Spell Cards in my next turn!" (Original card)

The card used by President Kaiba in the final turn of 'The Dark Side of Dimensions'. He used this trap to copy the 'Monster Reborn' that Yugi handed to him.

Well... of course, using the card given by the opponent in a duel—and it was given by Yugi, the outcome can be imagined.

You Xuan sent a card from his hand to the Graveyard.

"I discard the Spell Card 'Super Soldier Synthesis' from my hand and gain that effect!" You Xuan said. "Tribute the 4-star LIGHT 'Beginning Knight' in my hand and the 4-star DARK 'Evening Twilight Knight' in the Deck as ritual materials!

Perform a Ritual Summon for 'Black Luster Soldier' in the Graveyard!"

"Heh, has it appeared, the strongest form of Black Luster Soldier," Kaiba snorted.

'Super Soldier Synthesis', as long as the total level of the ritual summon is 8 stars, you can use LIGHT and DARK monsters from your hand and Deck as materials respectively to perform a Ritual Summon for Black Luster Soldier in your hand or Graveyard.

"One soul guides light, one soul guides darkness, the gate of chaos opens here—"

Two swordsmen turned into beams of light and darkness, crossing and flying to the ground. The vortex of chaos rose into the sky, and was then slashed open by the blades of light and darkness.

Black Luster Soldier, descend!

【Black Luster Soldier, ATK 3000】

Marufuji Ryo: "Summoning the legendary warrior at such a critical moment..."

"Too strong, too strong, You Xuan!" Judai couldn't help but say.

Although it is still the Battle Phase now, Black Luster Soldier cannot use the effect of 'banishing monsters from the game', but it also possesses the effect of continuous attacks.

Kaiba's field now only has Bai Bai Linglong. Although it has been changed to Defense Position by Dark Paladin's effect, the first sword of Black Luster Soldier will break Bai Bai Linglong, and after triggering the continuous attack effect, it will attack directly, and the duel will end.

"No way..."

Marufuji Ryo muttered, looking at You Xuan involuntarily.

This guy, could he really even... against the legendary Kaiba Seto...

"Black Luster Soldier's attack, the first one," You Xuan said. "Attack 'Bai Bai Linglong'!"

Black Luster Soldier flew up, his body rotated half a circle, and he cast a sky full of sword shadows from the air!

Kaiba looked up at the endless sword shadows, and for a moment he seemed to be a bit dazed.

Black Luster Soldier.

What a nostalgic monster.

Come to think of it, this duel seems to have been like this all along. The Dark Paladin just now, the Electromagnetic Turtle, not to mention his lifelong enemy 'small-fry monster' Kuriboh, etc., etc...

Now, under the sword light of Black Luster Soldier, he vaguely felt that the pendant on the opponent's chest was glowing through the sword shadows.

For a moment, he couldn't tell whether he was facing You Xuan or his old rival.

After years of progress, the fully-strengthened White Dragon, and even powerful monsters like Shining Dragon...

Even after doing this, could he still not win against that guy?

"Brother!"

Mokuba had already called out in worry.

Kaiba: "..."

No.

Even if that guy came here, he wouldn't lose again.

This is something he had already made up his mind about long ago.

Next time we meet, I will be the Duel King...

"I activate the Quick-Play Spell 'Dark Magic Rebirth'!" Kaiba shouted.

It is also a card from the DM era, but it was modified into a Trap Card when it was made into an actual card many years later, and was limited to being a dedicated card for The Winged Dragon of Ra in order to restore the famous scene of the original work.

However, it is a general-purpose card without restrictions in the anime.

"'Dark Magic Rebirth', can only be activated when the opponent declares an attack," Kaiba said in a deep voice. "I can gain the effect of one Spell Card in the opponent's Graveyard!" (Original effect)

You Xuan frowned: "The Spell Card in my Graveyard..."

Instantly, all the Spell Cards existing in his Graveyard were released in the form of projections, floating in mid-air.

"Heh, it seems that your 'Fusion Birth' threw down some good things besides Executioner, let me borrow it."

"Gain the effect of this card in your Graveyard—"

"—Spell Card 'Monster Reborn', reviving the monsters in both our Graveyards on my field!"

You Xuan frowned.

As expected of President Kaiba, he could suddenly come up with such strange means at the very end.

And if it's President Kaiba, the monster he is obsessed with reviving will naturally be...

"Return once again, Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon!!!"
