Chapter 459: Darkness Great Crisis

Armageddon Knight, summon!

A red-masked swordsman in armor appeared on the field, holding a long sword. His eyes were hidden behind goggles, and as he landed, he skillfully twirled his sword.

【Armageddon Knight, ATK 1400】

"The effect of Armageddon Knight, when successfully summoned, you can send any Dark-attribute monster from the deck to the graveyard!"

Dark Atticus said as he had already pulled out the deck to prepare for the search.

The precise graveyard-dumping effect of any Dark-attribute, simple, rough, and practical, can be considered a powerful thigh that has been enduring for Dark-attribute themed decks.

And Red-Eyes are basically all Dark-attribute, and the deck used by Dark Atticus is also mainly Dark-attribute. Armageddon Knight is naturally a very compatible plug-in.

However...

"Wait a moment."

Dark Atticus's search action was suddenly interrupted by Fujiki You Xuan. Only to see him unhurriedly flip open the Set Card and point to his backfield.

"I have already activated the Set Card, Continuous Trap 'Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror'.

As long as this card exists on the field, all Dark-attribute monster effects activated on the field and in the graveyard are negated."

Dark Atticus's movements froze, as if stunned for two seconds, then slowly raised his head to look at the trap card in Fujiki You Xuan's backfield.

Only to see the huge magic mirror appearing under the trap's effect, clearly reflecting the knight's figure. The dark energy was extracted from the knight, and continuously sucked into the magic mirror.

Armageddon Knight instantly withered, as if all his energy had been sucked away, and he couldn't help but kneel on one knee, unable to exert any strength all over his body.

Dark Atticus: "..."

Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror, looking at the name, it is obviously the Dark-attribute version corresponding to Light-Imprisoning Mirror.

Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Red-Eyes Black Dragon are representatives of the Light and Dark Dragon clans respectively. If the effect of Light-Imprisoning Mirror is "White Dragon must die", then Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror is obviously "Black Dragon must die".

The search action solidified. Dark Atticus looked at the withered knight on his field, and then looked at the deck in his hand that was 90% Dark-attribute.

The corner of his mouth couldn't help but twitch.

Suddenly felt that this card couldn't be played.

"What's wrong?" Fujiki You Xuan narrowed his eyes. "A powerful duelist like Mr. Darkness, wouldn't be so troublesome that he couldn't handle a trap card, right?"

No one would be killed by a card, right? No way, no way?

Dark Atticus gritted his teeth and shouted.

"Then battle. Use 'Armageddon Knight' to attack 'Gravekeeper's Guard'!"

Although the knight's effect was stripped, his own panel was still there. The guard raised his halberd to try to parry, but the knight's sword tip flickered and easily bypassed the halberd, piercing the guard's throat with one sword.

【Fujiki You Xuan, LP 4000 -> LP 3600】

"Turn... end." Dark Atticus hummed heavily.

"Then my turn, draw."

Fujiki You Xuan waved his hand.

"I first activate two Set Cards on the field, Trap Card 'Goblin's Secret Remedy' twice."

"Each one allows me to draw cards equal to the number of 'Goblin's Secret Remedy' in the graveyard + 1, then return a hand card to the bottom of the deck."

"You have no Secret Remedy in the graveyard." Atticus shouted.

"Not bad, so I activate the Quick-Play Spell 'Emergency Provisions' from my hand." Fujiki You Xuan said. "Send the two Secret Remedies activated on the field to the graveyard, and recover 2000 life points.

In this way, when the two traps are processed, the graveyard already has two 'Goblin's Secret Remedy'.

Therefore, I draw a total of six cards from the deck, and need to return two hand cards to the bottom of the deck."

【Fujiki You Xuan, LP 3600 -> LP 5600】

Life points were replenished in one breath, Fujiki You Xuan drew cards twice in a row and picked out hand cards to return to the deck. "Then activate Continuous Trap 'Call of the Haunted'!" Fujiki You Xuan said. "Special Summon a monster from your graveyard in Attack Position.

Revive 'Guardian Sphinx' from the graveyard!"

【Guardian Sphinx, ATK 1700】

"Sphinx attacks 'Armageddon Knight'!"

The knight was destroyed, and Dark Atticus's black robe was lifted by the storm, fluttering wildly.

【Dark Atticus, LP 3000 -> LP 2700】

"Main Phase 2, activate the effect of 'Guardian Sphinx'." Fujiki You Xuan said. "This card can become face-down Defense Position once per turn.

Set Guardian Sphinx again."

The human face statue hibernated back, turning back into a set card form.

"Then set a monster in face-down Defense Position, turn end."

This book was updated recently at ##!! update!

Dark Atticus gritted his teeth.

The confidence he had when he first went on the field had vanished, only feeling that the situation he was facing now was unprecedentedly tricky.

That disgusting Sphinx can cover itself every turn, and has a powerful ability to return all his monsters to his hand when flipped. And even if he wants to break this situation quickly, the opponent's backfield has that Yin-Yang magic mirror...

In this situation, there is too little he can do.

"Mr. Darkness, don't you draw?" Fujiki You Xuan smiled. "Or, if you want to beg for mercy now, it's not too late. After all, I am kind-hearted and can't bear to see others suffer. I am the easiest to talk to."

Dark Atticus heard it, this is just using the words he said himself to mock him back.

"Don't be arrogant."

Dark Atticus gritted his teeth.

Are you kidding?

He, the dignified Darkness, has the existence of returning all things in the world to darkness one day, when has he suffered such grievances?

"My turn, draw!" Dark Atticus said. "Activate Spell Card 'Pot of Magic', both players draw three cards from the deck!" (Original card)

Dark Chuixue accelerated his draw, then his gaze flickered when he caught sight of the card he had drawn.

Avoiding the means of attack from that Underworld Magic Mirror—he wasn't without his own ways.

"First, I activate my face-down card, the Trap 'That Grass Looks Greener'!" Dark Chuixue said. "I declare the numbers five and six, then the opponent rolls the die.

If I hit either five or six, I draw that many cards.

If I miss, I send that many cards from the top of my deck to the Graveyard."

"So we're rolling dice, are we?" Fujiki You Xuan said.

However, it seemed that although Chuixue had inherited the Gambler's trump card and the Gambler's appearance, he hadn't inherited the Gambler's luck. The die landed, rolled twice, and stopped on the number 3.

But he didn't mind, simply drawing three cards in a row.

"Then I send three cards to the Graveyard."

Immediately after, his face-down card in the back row flipped.

"Open face-down card, Trap 'Red-Eyes Spirit'!" Dark Chuixue shouted. "Special Summon a Red-Eyes monster from the Graveyard.

Revive, my soul, my flesh and blood, Red-Eyes Black Dragon!"

The lava once again transformed into a soaring fire dragon, twisting and turning in the air. When it tumbled twice and crashed to the ground, transparent waves of fire washed outward, and it had stunningly taken the form of the Black Dragon King.

Red-Eyes Black Dragon, re-summoned!

【Red-Eyes Black Dragon, ATK 2400】

"Then I activate the Spell card 'Inferno Fire Blast'!" Dark Chuixue shouted. "When 'Red-Eyes Black Dragon' exists on my field, I deal damage to the opponent directly equal to the original ATK of Red-Eyes!"
