Chapter 559

"Continuous Spell, 'Heavenly Court'!" Manjoume Jun said, "This card can only be activated during your own Main Phase.

When you have a Level 1 Angel-Type monster on your field, you can Special Summon an Angel-Type monster from your hand!"

Just as Fujiki You Xuan expected, a card that required a Level 1 Angel-Type monster to activate was naturally the Heavenly Court.

So now the question was what kind of Angel-Type monster he intended to summon.

Manjoume Jun did not act immediately, but instead narrowed his eyes and looked at the three Hand-Holding Demons on Fujiki You Xuan's field.

"Hand-Holding Demon, although it looks like a very ordinary, weak demon, it actually hides a troublesome ability." He sneered, "While Hand-Holding Demon is in the Monster Zone, the opponent cannot select other monsters as attack targets.

And now there are three Hand-Holding Demons on the field, and all three demons require the opponent to 'only attack themselves.' In other words, while all three demons are on the field, I cannot select any of them as an attack target."

"Oh?" Fujiki You Xuan smiled, "As expected of the Card Shop Destroyer who possesses the 'Anti-Deck' made up of a hundred decks; your knowledge base is quite rich."

However, Hand-Holding Demon wasn't a rare card to begin with, so it wasn't strange that the opponent knew about it.

"Haha, that's already a thing of the past. Those were just titles earned when I was young and ignorant."

Manjoume Jun narrowed his eyes.

"Not only that, the DEF of Hand-Holding Demon increases by the original DEF of other Defense Position monsters on the field besides itself.

Now there are two Hand-Holding Demons in Defense Position on the field, so the DEF of these two Hand-Holding Demons will stack with each other."

【Hand-Holding Demon, DEF 3200】 x2

"DEF of over three thousand is not easy to deal with." Manjoume Jun said indifferently, "In other words, even if I manage to break through the defense line of the monster effects, it is still difficult to break through this 3000 DEF."

He paused, not continuing to speak.

Well, it really is a tactic that fits the intelligence on the King of Games. Starting off with this kind of pure lockdown-type monster.

However

The corners of his mouth twitched slightly.

He had a countermeasure.

"The one I'm going to summon is this guy."

Manjoume Jun raised the corners of his mouth and held the card in his hand high. That card seemed to bloom with a dazzling white light sufficient to dispel the dark night.

"The absolute ruler of light, the angel who banishes darkness—

—Turatin!!!"

Countless white lights gathered, condensing into silver-white steel armor. It was an angel exuding dazzling radiance from its entire body; its brilliance was so intense that its facial features could barely be seen. The moment it descended, it was as if the entire gloomy forest had become as bright as day.

【Turatin, ATK 2800】

"It's actually Turatin?" Fujiki You Xuan frowned.

He had some impression of it. This was also a quite powerful lockdown-type monster, but he remembered that if this card wasn't summoned with a specific effect, it seemed to be a vanilla monster with no effect.

"Turatin is the absolute ruler of light, absolutely not tolerating even a shred of darkness on the field!"

Manjoume Jun shouted sternly.

"Absolute Ruin of Light!" As the words fell, endless radiance bloomed from Turatin's body, like a white-hot sun exploding in mid-air!

Even the shadows in the forest seemed to vanish into ashes the moment they touched that light, and the scorching light swept across the entire field. The three Hand-Holding Demons on Fujiki You Xuan's field, even with the defense line built by holding hands, could not withstand it at all. In the instant the strong light shone, they were all wiped out and burned to ashes.

Fujiki You Xuan frowned slightly.

"So that's how it is." He muttered to himself, "Is it different from the effect after being made into a physical card again?"

At this time, Manjoume Jun had laughed three times and explained: "The absolute ruler of light, Turatin, while on the field, any DARK attribute monsters will be destroyed, and DARK attribute monsters cannot exist on the field!"

The description in the original manga was just one sentence, "DARK attribute monsters cannot exist on the field." But this statement was very non-standard and abstract. Whether it meant "DARK attribute monsters cannot be summoned" or "they will be destroyed immediately after being summoned," the difference in practical application was quite large.

However, after being made into a physical card, it had a more standardized description. When Turatin is summoned to the field, all monsters of the corresponding attribute must be destroyed, and monsters of the corresponding attribute cannot be summoned afterwards.

And for this effect, the physical card received a major buff.

In the original manga, Turatin was a monster released by the Card Shop Destroyer to target Yugi Wu Teng—they found after analyzing battle reports that the main monsters in Yugi Wu Teng's deck were mostly DARK attribute, so they specifically used this card to target him.

But the physical card Turatin could target more than just the DARK attribute. When this card is summoned, the duelist can declare any attribute, and all monsters of the declared attribute will be locked down as long as Turatin remains on the field.

!. Read

It looks very awesome, but in actual combat, it's not that easy to use. Because the physical card Turatin stipulates that it must be Special Summoned from the hand when two monsters are destroyed by battle during your own Battle Phase. And only by Special Summoning it this way can it activate its lockdown ability.

While the original manga version could only target the DARK attribute, it had the advantage of having no activation restrictions; it would take effect as soon as it appeared on the field, not necessarily through the aforementioned method.

However

Fujiki You Xuan's gaze began to turn dangerous as he sized up the high-level angel on the opposite side.

This was also a pretty good rare card. The ability to declare any attribute and absolutely lock it down also had considerable potential; it felt like it was worth digging into.

Not bad, not bad, this card is not bad. It was hard for Brother Manjoume to travel thousands of miles and cross mountains and rivers to deliver it to the island personally; Fujiki You Xuan was full of gratitude.

"With this, your hand-holding defense line has collapsed!" Manjoume Jun said proudly, "They all say the King of Games is good at lockdown, and the heavy defense lines are hard to break through. Now that I see it, it's nothing more than this; it's just that those duelists before were all mediocre."

Fujiki You Xuan shrugged, not refuting anything.

"And I haven't performed a Normal Summon this turn yet." Manjoume Jun shouted, "Let me solve this in one breath this turn—

—I will then Tribute 'Cotton Ball' to Tribute Summon!

Come! Sky Knight Parshath!"

Cotton Ball dissipated into a burst of light spots, and that light gathered again, as if constructing a summoning circle of white light. The pure and holy knight flew out from that magic circle and stood majestically on the field.

【Sky Knight Parshath, ATK 1900】

"Sorry, King of Games, although it's a short exchange, let me solve this in one breath this turn!"

Manjoume Jun shouted loudly.

"Go, first is Turatin, direct attack on the King of Games!"

Dazzling radiance gathered, forming a huge, churning ball of light in front of Turatin! Like a scorching sun of white light, it spiraled and whistled, slamming down directly at Fujiki You Xuan with a ruthless roar!
