Chapter 578: Game Start

"The effect of Magical Stone Excavation, recover Wonder Wand from the Graveyard."

Fujiki You Xuan said.

"And at this moment, the effects of the two cards just discarded from my hand as the cost for Excavation also activate."

Fujiki You Xuan revealed those two cards.

"The two discarded cards are both 'Deep Sea Assassin'. When Deep Sea Assassin is sent to the Graveyard, I can add one Flip monster other than itself from my Graveyard to my hand."

Fujiki You Xuan paused and smiled.

"Deep Sea Assassin itself is a Flip monster."

Amon frowned: "But you said, Deep Sea Assassin can only choose a monster 'other than itself' to add to the hand..."

"That's right, 'other than itself', but it just can't choose itself; choosing another Deep Sea Assassin in the Graveyard is no problem." (Old version effect)

Fujiki You Xuan revealed the two Assassins and added them to his hand.

"Use Assassin A to recover Assassin B, then Assassin B recovers Assassin A, returning two 'Deep Sea Assassins' from the Graveyard to my hand."

"Also, you activated 'Card Cloud' and 'One Day of Peace' last turn, and I just activated a Spell. So the Library now has three counters. I activate the Library's second effect, remove three Spell Counters, and draw one card from my deck!"

Fujiki You Xuan drew a card.

"Then I activate the second Spell Card 'Magical Stone Excavation' from my hand, discard two cards, and return one Spell Card from my Graveyard to my hand."

Fujiki You Xuan sent two more cards from his hand to the Graveyard.

"Discard two cards, and return the first 'Magical Stone Excavation' from the Graveyard to my hand."

Amon: "!"

So the two cards discarded just now were...

"That's right, two more 'Deep Sea Assassins'," Fujiki You Xuan chuckled. "And as before, the two Deep Sea Assassins recover each other, and all return to my hand."

Amon looked cold, having already understood.

Two Deep Sea Assassins discarded simultaneously as the cost for Excavation, then fishing each other out, can form an infinite cost.

Then one Magical Stone Excavation in hand, another in the Graveyard, two Excavations can also infinitely recover each other, forming an infinite Spell loop.

At first glance, it seems like resources in hand and Graveyard are just circulating endlessly, with no increase or decrease, an meaningless loop. But with Royal Magical Library, it's different.

Each time Excavation is activated, the Library gains a counter. Every three counters allow drawing one card from the deck.

This is an infinite draw loop!

Amon gritted his teeth: "You guy, do you want to empty your deck..."

"Hahaha, how could that be?"

In a short while, Fujiki You Xuan already had a large handful of cards in his hand, and more than half of his deck had been grabbed into his hand.

Then he smiled: "Alright, drawing this much is about enough. The actors are in place, and now it's time for the performance to officially begin."

Amon frowned.

Performance?

"Activate the Equip Spell 'Wonder Wand' recovered at the beginning, and equip it to 'Royal Magical Library'," Fujiki You Xuan said. "Send the Library and the Wand to the Graveyard together, and draw two cards from the deck."

"Next, activate 'Magical Stone Excavation' one last time, discard two cards, and return the other 'Magical Stone Excavation' from the Graveyard to my hand."

Amon noticed that after discarding cards this time, Fujiki You Xuan did not activate the effect of Deep Sea Assassin to recover each other.

Were the cards discarded this time not Deep Sea Assassins?

Amon's heart stirred.

Activating Excavation for the last time... could the purpose be to send a certain card in hand to the Graveyard?

"Normal Summon 'Ma Xiu Luo'."

【Ma Xiu Luo, ATK 1700】

"Activate the Spell Card 'Necro Sacrifice', by Special Summoning one or two monsters from my Graveyard to the opponent's field, I can reduce the number of Tributes required for a Tribute Summon based on the number of monsters Special Summoned." (Original card)

A beam of golden light shot out from Fujiki You Xuan's Duel Disk. "Special Summon 'Demonic Wisdom' to your field!"

【Demonic Wisdom, ATK 1250】

Amon: "?"

What the hell is this?

"Then I activate the face-down card, the Continuous Trap 'Ultimate Offering', by paying 500 Life Points, I can perform an additional Normal Summon."

Fujiki You Xuan said.

"I pay 500 Life Points to add one Normal Summon, and Tribute Summon a Level 8 monster from my hand. And because of the effect of 'Necro Sacrifice', I can reduce the number of Tributes by one, using only one monster as a Tribute for the Tribute Summon. I Tribute 'Ma Xiu Luo' to Tribute Summon! Come, storm cloud— —Cloudian - Eye of the Typhoon!!!"

Amon: "!?!?"

!. Read

His pupils dilated at this moment.

Huh?

【Cloudian - Eye of the Typhoon, ATK 3000】

Seeing the opponent also summon Eye of the Typhoon, Amon was momentarily dumbfounded.

It's not strange that the opponent has this card. Cloudian isn't a deck that only exists in one copy in the world, and Duel King Fujiki You Xuan, backed by the world's top card-printing factory, wouldn't be strange to have any card.

The problem is, why is he carrying this thing?

Could it be just to use the opponent's own way to treat the opponent, using his own trump card to defeat him to achieve a humiliating effect?

"Next, activate the Spell Card 'Carnivorous Body'," Fujiki You Xuan said. "Let the Tribute Summoned monster gain half the ATK and monster effects of one Tribute monster." (Original card)

The signature Spell Card used by Professor Banner of the Illusion Academy.

"Let my Eye of the Typhoon gain half the ATK of the Tribute monster 'Ma Xiu Luo', and its monster effects."

【Cloudian - Eye of the Typhoon, ATK 3000 → ATK 3850】

"Ma Xiu Luo's effect is that as long as there are monsters on the opponent's field, it can attack all monsters on the opponent's field once per Battle Phase," Fujiki You Xuan smiled.

Amon frowned.

Endowed Eye of the Typhoon with the ability to attack multiple times... and then what?

Regardless, with the effect of One Day of Peace, he wouldn't take any damage this turn...

"Then activate the Field Spell 'Black Garden'."

The eerie botanical garden instantly dominated the field, with countless vines crisscrossing.

"In Black Garden, the ATK of all monsters summoned by both of us from now on will be halved," Fujiki You Xuan explained. "And, every time either of us summons a monster, the Garden will simultaneously Special Summon a 'Rose Token' on the opponent's field."

Amon didn't speak.

Still didn't understand what he was trying to do.

"Finally, use the effect of 'Ultimate Offering' once more, and summon this card from my hand..."

Fujiki You Xuan slowly summoned a monster to the field.

"Summon 'Revival Shi Laimu' in Defense Position."

【Revival Shi Laimu, DEF 500】

"When Revival Shi Laimu is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, it can be immediately Special Summoned on the field; it is a monster with the ability of infinite resurrection." (Original effect)

That is the key monster Yugi used when battling Marik's Slifer the Sky Dragon back then.

"Of course, because of the effect of Black Garden, the Shi Laimu's ATK is halved," Fujiki You Xuan said. "And because I summoned a monster, the Garden will Special Summon a 'Rose Token' on your field, Amon."

【Rose Token, ATK 800】

Amon frowned: "Summoning low-ATK tokens on my field to create flaws? But I won't take any damage this turn..."

"I know."

Fujiki You Xuan chuckled.

"Come, the mini-game starts now."
