Chapter 692: Gold Sarcophagus

"You actually took it... tch, then I'll let you linger for another turn."

Evil God hummed.

"Then activate the other effect of 'The First Darklord'."

"Can be activated during your or your opponent's main phase. Once per turn, pay 1000 life points, and special summon any Angel-type monster from your hand or graveyard in defense position."

【Evil God, LP 2500 -> LP 1500】

"Special summon 'Darklord Superbia' from the graveyard!"

【Darklord Superbia, Defense 2400】

"Superbia's effect, when this card is successfully special summoned from the graveyard, revive any Angel-type monster from the graveyard to the field!"

Evil God summoned back another Darklord from the graveyard.

"Special summon 'Darklord Ukoback'!"

【Darklord Ukoback, Defense 1000】

"Ukoback's effect, when this card is summoned, send a 'Darklord' card from the deck to the graveyard."

Evil God showed a dangerous sneer, drew another card from the deck, and sent it directly to the graveyard.

"Send the trap card 'Banishment of the Darklords' from the deck to the graveyard."

Fujiki You Xuan said: "Did you set up a means to interfere during my turn?"

Evil God laughed: "Heh, although you are just a human like an insect, your dueling knowledge is unexpectedly rich. Not bad."

"The effect of Banishment of the Darklords is that you can send any Darklord from your hand or field to the graveyard and destroy a card on the field!"

Ma Like was startled and said: "Although it is a powerful trap, it is just sending it to the graveyard and not searching it to the field, how can it interfere during the opponent's turn..."

But although he was not familiar with the Darklord deck, he was a legendary duelist after all, and he suddenly realized it halfway through, his gaze suddenly looking at Tezcatlipoca on the field, and he suddenly understood.

This Darklord can copy the effect of the trap card in the graveyard by paying 1000 life points. And this effect can also be activated during the opponent's turn...

In other words, this Darklord itself is a walking human trap!

For example, just after Fujiki You Xuan summoned a monster, Evil God could use Tezcatlipoca's effect to copy the "Banishment of the Darklords" in the graveyard, blow up the monster Fujiki You Xuan just summoned, consume the opponent's only normal summon chance per turn, and interrupt the key development point, making the opponent unable to play cards or operate.

This is a quite terrifying suppression ability.

"Evil God," Ishizu said solemnly, "Even without using the Evil God's true body, you actually have such terrifying abilities."

Evil God said: "I said, no matter how outstanding you are, you are just a mere human. To deal with a human, I don't deserve to use the power of the source at all!"

Fujiki You Xuan was calm and asked back: "Rather than saying you don't deserve it, isn't it that you can't?"

Evil God looked at him, frowning.

"Although you are the Incarnation of God, the strongest among the Three Evil Gods, in terms of power fluctuation alone, you are not necessarily stronger than the Eraser last time."

"Let me guess, as the strongest god, the intensity of your seal is also the highest. So unlike your brothers, you can't summon your true body in this dimension, right?"

Evil God hummed heavily. He didn't deny it, only said arrogantly: "Even without using the power of my true body, I am already much stronger than those two useless things. Dealing with you is more than enough."

"In today's world, the Pharaoh is no longer here, and those hateful phantom gods have also been buried with him. All that remains is that insignificant vessel." Evil God sneered twice.

"A mere vessel, actually wants to hinder our great plan. When I get that guardian spirit and completely break the seal, does a so-called vessel still dare to claim to be king?"

"Vessel?"

Fujiki You Xuan immediately understood that he was referring to the current Wu Teng Yugi, and couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"Vessel" was a term often heard during the DM period. At that time, almost everyone looked down on Yugi, feeling that he was just a rookie who relied on a powerful substitute to get to the top. But times have changed, and no one has called him that for many years.

Evil God said coldly: "What's so funny?"

"Vessel, you actually still think so today?" Fujiki You Xuan said, "In the past, maybe. But as the vessel of the King, even if he was just an ordinary mortal at first, he was able to withstand the powerful soul of the Pharaoh and grow through countless life-and-death trials together. You actually think he's just a vessel?"

"A mortal is a mortal after all. Even if he grows, he is just a slightly better vessel." Evil God said.

"Is that so." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Then let you see with your own eyes the insignificant capacity of the so-called 'vessel'. My turn, draw a card."

"Activate magic card 'Card of Adversity', when the opponent has a special summoned monster and I have no monsters on the field, draw two cards from the deck!"

(Author's note: Read every word without missing any!)

Fujiki You Xuan raised his Duel Disk.

Only then did Ma Like and his sister suddenly notice that the card at the very top of Fujiki You Xuan's deck, the card that had not yet been drawn, was actually radiating golden light!

Ma Like's face changed slightly: "That card, could it be...?"

He looked at his sister, and although they didn't communicate, they both knew that they had already thought of the strange dream Fujiki You Xuan mentioned the night before.

He dreamed of Wu Teng Yugi, and through Yugi's hand in the dream, obtained that unknown card.

"Draw a card!"

Fujiki You Xuan drew a card.

Two cards drew a gorgeous arc in the air as he drew them from the deck, like a golden crescent-shaped trajectory, circling Fujiki You Xuan's side.

In fact, before drawing the card, there was no need to see it; Fujiki You Xuan had already sensed what he had drawn, and also knew what card Yugi had given him.

Perhaps it was a card with extraordinary significance that condensed from his thoughts and power after the years of training and progress of the King of Games, Wu Teng Yugi.

"Continuous magic—"

"—Gold Sarcophagus of Light!"

Sacred and dazzling golden light, and in the radiance, a small Gold Sarcophagus image was condensed. It floated lightly in mid-air, and endless golden light leaked from the gap in the lid, as if infinite miracles were sealed in that small box.

Ma Like and Ishizu, who had witnessed that Ceremonial Battle with their own eyes, were stunned and couldn't help but shout "Ah" in unison.

Gold Sarcophagus, they remembered it too clearly.

This was a memory item of immense significance to the Pharaoh and to Wu Teng Yugi.

Once, Wu Teng Yugi spent eight years putting together the Millennium Puzzle in the Gold Sarcophagus, which summoned the soul of the nameless Pharaoh, his most important partner in his life, who had wandered for three thousand years.

And finally, he used the magic card "Gold Sarcophagus" to seal the magic card "Monster Reborn", conveying the will that "the dead should rest in peace" to the Pharaoh at the end of the Ceremonial Battle, sending away his most important partner.

And at this very moment, the "Gold Sarcophagus of Light" that Fujiki You Xuan revealed was a brand-new series born from carrying the most important bond between Yugi and the Pharaoh!
