Chapter 735: The three of us

Butterfly Dagger - Elma!

"First, I add Butterfly Dagger - Elma to my hand," Fujiki You Xuan said. "At this moment, Royal Magical Library has three Spell Counters.

By removing three counters from itself, this card allows me to draw one card from my deck. Therefore, I remove all counters from the Library to draw one card."

Fujiki You Xuan: "Next, I equip 'Butterfly Dagger - Elma' to Gearfried the Iron Knight!"

"The effect of Butterfly Dagger - Elma: The monster equipped with this card gains 300 ATK.

I equip the Butterfly Dagger to 'Gearfried the Iron Knight', increasing its ATK by 300."

【Gearfried the Iron Knight, ATK 1800 → ATK 2100】

"Then, the effect of Gearfried the Iron Knight: If this card is equipped with an Equip Card, that Equip Card is destroyed."

The dagger had just landed in the Iron Knight's hand when it immediately exploded into golden fragments, vanishing from the field.

"The other effect of Butterfly Dagger is that when this card equipped to a monster is destroyed, it returns to the owner's hand."

Fujiki You Xuan shook the Equip Card in his hand as it returned to his hand.

"And I activate 'Butterfly Dagger - Elma' once again!"

Now, the Wicked God understood.

This was an infinite loop!

Every time the Butterfly Dagger is activated, Royal Magical Library gains a Spell Counter. Then, because of Gearfried the Iron Knight's effect, the moment the dagger is equipped to the Iron Knight, it is destroyed, and then it returns to the hand due to its own effect.

In this way, the Butterfly Dagger can be activated infinitely, accumulating countless Spell Counters for Royal Magical Library. And since Royal Magical Library allows a draw for every three counters removed, this effectively means he can draw an infinite number of cards.

An infinite hand means infinite possibilities. Although the three Wicked Gods boasted of being invincible and fearing no opponent, that was only true if the resources on both sides were equal.

Not to mention that the Wicked Gods' resistance wasn't absolutely invincible; even if they had absolute resistance, a God is not an invincible Duelist. As long as the opponent has enough resources, there are ways to bypass the God and finish them off.

"Amazing, Fujiki You Xuan, you completed an infinite loop so quickly!" Yugi Judai praised.

Yubel couldn't help but say: "Your friend's dueling... uh..."

She wanted to offer a sharp critique, but after thinking for a long time, she couldn't come up with a single positive word. Remembering that this person had an extraordinary relationship with Judai, and that she couldn't beat him anyway, she decided to keep her mouth shut.

"Trying to rely on an infinite loop to oppose a God?" the Wicked God said coldly. "A nice idea, but you have to succeed first.

I activate my face-down card, the Trap Card 'Trap Hole of Spikes'!"

The Wicked God's face-down card flipped open, and suddenly, a massive pit appeared on Fujiki You Xuan's field!

"Trap Hole of Spikes can only be activated if there are no Trap Cards in my Graveyard," the Wicked God said. "Currently, there isn't a single Trap Card in my Graveyard, so its effect resolves!

Destroy any two monsters on the opponent's field!"

Kaiba said: "I see. Destroying the key components to interrupt the loop, eh?"

The Wicked God said: "The loop's success is based on the effects of these two monsters, so both of you, disappear.

Destroy 'Gearfried the Iron Knight' and 'Royal Magical Library'—both monsters!"

A terrifying suction force seemed to erupt from the giant pit, and one could even see the white, transparent whirlwind with the naked eye, as if an invisible giant hand had captured both the Iron Knight and the Royal Magical Library, violently dragging them into it.

With two booming explosions, black smoke and dust billowed from the giant pit. By the time the smoke cleared, both the pit and the two monsters within it were nowhere to be seen.

"Ah, what a pity," Judai couldn't help but exclaim.

If the loop had gone through, it might have directly finished the duel. He didn't doubt that if Fujiki You Xuan had drawn his entire deck, the opponent wouldn't have had a chance to summon the remaining two Wicked Gods.

Kaiba said indifferently: "So it has turned into a disadvantage for this side, then?"

Indeed. Fujiki You Xuan hadn't been able to draw cards through the loop; instead, his monsters on the field had been wiped out. When the Butterfly Dagger's effect was processed, the Iron Knight had already been destroyed, so the equip target was lost, and it naturally went to the Graveyard. Because the condition "when this card equipped to a monster is destroyed" was not met, it couldn't return to Fujiki You Xuan's hand via its own effect.

Fujiki You Xuan said: "Then I set two cards face-down and end my turn."

At this moment, the phantom of The Eraser behind the Wicked God said: "Truly a dangerous kid. First turn, Spell/Trap lockdown; second turn, an infinite loop..."

"Indeed."

The Avatar of the Wicked God on the field nodded as well. "In terms of dueling alone, this person's strength is not bad."

He said this, but in truth, it was still to avoid lowering his own prestige; in reality, he was already quite shocked by Fujiki You Xuan's strength in his heart.

It was not just his strength, but this kind of duel was also unprecedented. In the past thousands of years, even when they, the three Wicked God brothers, encountered strong opponents, they had never felt the way they did today when facing this person.

Whether it was being locked down by effects or being infinitely looped to death, a moment of carelessness in this duel would leave one unable to move an inch.

But regardless, the initiative was currently still held in their own hands.

"My turn, draw."

"Activate the Spell Card 'Pot of Greed', draw two more cards from the deck."

After the Wicked God drew the cards, he slowly raised his head and let out two gloomy, low hums.

"Heh, to be able to witness the noble countenance of more than one god in a single battle, you are indeed a lucky guy. But to ensure nothing goes wrong, I will give you this opportunity specially!"

As soon as these words were spoken, Yugi and Kaiba could not help but change their expressions slightly.

Is he going to summon a second god?

!

Kaiba frowned and said: "Can this guy call out a god to descend in a single turn?"

Could it be that this is the power of the Wicked God himself taking the field?

"Activate the Spell Card 'Darklord's Contact'."

The Wicked God revealed the same spell as the previous turn and laughed.

"Last turn, the spell card whose effect was copied from the graveyard by 'Darklord Ixchel' returns to the deck and is shuffled after copying."

That is to say, he had just shuffled it back last turn, and now he had immediately drawn it again.

In a sense, one could say his bonds were maxed out.

"Darklord's Contact, Special Summon a Darklord monster from the graveyard to the field in Defense Position.

The one I want to revive from the graveyard is, of course, still this guy."

The Wicked God slapped a card he had pulled from the graveyard onto his Duel Disk.

"Darklord Superbia!"

【Darklord Superbia, Defense 2400】

A pitch-black Darklord with red wings. However, as Fujiki You Xuan observed that black body, he only felt that the black lump in the center of the wings looked like a pitch-black toilet after staring at it for too long.

"Darklord Superbia's monster effect," the Wicked God said. "When this card is successfully Special Summoned from the graveyard, I can revive another Darklord from the graveyard to the field.

Therefore, I revive this card from the graveyard."

The Wicked God pulled out another Darklord.

"Darklord Ixchel!"

【Darklord Ixchel, Attack 2500】

"Then Ixchel's effect, pay 1000 Life Points to once again gain the effect of 'Darklord's Contact' in the graveyard!"

【Wicked God, LP 3000 → LP 2000】

"Special Summon 'Darklord Tezcatlipoca' from the graveyard!"

【Darklord Tezcatlipoca, Defense 2000】

In an instant, there were three monsters again, still the same Darklord trio from the previous turn.

"With this, the preparations are complete once again!"
