Chapter 773

~8 min read 1,410 words

"Are you really going to the other world?"

When Fujiki You Xuan came out of Paradox's detention place, Mokuba looked at him with some worry.

"Yeah, what that guy said should be true," Fujiki You Xuan said. "To avoid the destruction of the two worlds, from this starting point, his purpose should be consistent with ours."

"But even if you say so..."

Mokuba was still a bit uneasy.

Fujiki You Xuan smiled: "Nothing to worry about, it's not the first time anyway. I haven't been to other dimensions before, right?"

"But this time is different."

Mokuba shook his head.

"Have you forgotten the concept we mentioned before? Although you said you have been to other dimensions before, in essence, it was still within our world."

"If you compare the world to a card, you just went from the front of the card to the back. But this time you are going to a completely unknown world. You might never find your way back..."

"No problem." Fujiki You Xuan interrupted him.

Mokuba was stunned.

Then he saw Fujiki You Xuan smile at him and said: "I have a plan in mind."

Mokuba: "..."

Mokuba's worry is also normal. He only knows that Paradox comes from a completely parallel dimension, but knows nothing about that time and space. No one knows what Fujiki You Xuan will encounter when he goes there, what the situation will be, everything is uncontrollable.

But Fujiki You Xuan was not that worried, because by comparison, Fujiki You Xuan had a rough idea in his heart. Judging from Paradox's previous description, the dimension the other party is in is probably the "official history" of Yu-Gi-Oh!. Paradox called Fujiki You Xuan an error that shouldn't exist, so that's probably the original anime world without him, the traveler.

Of course, this is just a speculation. Paradox said that the history of that world also had abnormal changes, which might be the root of the abnormality. Therefore, Fujiki You Xuan thought that the original work should only be used as a reference, and cannot be overly relied upon, and must be mentally prepared for deviations from the original plot at all times.

Seeing that Fujiki You Xuan seemed to have made up his mind, Mokuba didn't say anything more, only said: "Okay, then I hope you know what you are doing..."

However, Fujiki You Xuan said no problem, and he seemed to feel a little more at ease in his heart. It was as if Fujiki You Xuan's words naturally had such magic, and when he said don't worry, you would involuntarily believe he was right.

"Okay... then are you taking that person with you?"

Mokuba looked toward the detention direction.

"Maybe, but not now. I still have to do some preparation work."

Fujiki You Xuan narrowed his eyes.

"For an expedition, you must first stockpile enough ammunition."

First is the card warehouse of the Kaiba Corporation and Industrial Illusions. Fujiki You Xuan went in and collected another round, and looted another wave of all cards that might be useful.

When fighting Paradox last time, he used a Fairy-themed deck, and at that time he had already collected most of the fairies he needed. After supplementing this time, another world championship deck was basically completed.

The Agent of Force.

One of the cores of this deck is "Archlord Kristya", which Fujiki You Xuan has already used. This card can be Special Summoned directly without tribute when there are exactly four Fairy-type monsters in the Graveyard, and then as long as Kristya is on the field, it can block Special Summons for both sides. When dealing with Paradox, this Archlord caused ruling-level suppression on the Sin deck. If the opponent hadn't pulled out the equally heavyweight underworld player "Skill Drain", the Sin deck could basically be said to be soloed by this invincible Archlord. In the version where The Agent of Force won the championship, mainstream decks like Junk and Blackwing were also easily suppressed by the Archlord, having more suppression power than ever before in the Synchro environment.

Following that, Fujiki You Xuan supplemented a "Master Hyperion". The big brother of The Agent deck, and also the main hitter in the championship build.

Hyperion can be Special Summoned from the hand by banishing any "The Agent" monster from the hand, field, or Graveyard, and the summoning condition is extremely simple. And once per turn, by banishing one LIGHT Fairy-type monster from the Graveyard, it can destroy any card on the field.

If "The Sanctuary in the Sky" exists on the field, this effect can be increased from once per turn to twice per turn. Coupled with its own decent 2700 ATK, it ensures that the deck has the explosive power to kill quickly.

In addition, there is a key Ritual Fairy, "Herald of Perfection". Level 6 Ritual Monster. By sending any Fairy-type monster from the hand to the Graveyard, you can negate and destroy the opponent's Spell, Trap, and monster effect activations.

Powerful three-color negation, can negate any effect of the opponent, and more importantly, it doesn't say "once per turn." Such a powerful impedance, as an ancient old card, even has its use in modern Yu-Gi-Oh!.

Archlord seals Special Summons, Master destroys cards and strengthens attacks, Herald of Perfection negates any card effect, while taking into account both blocking impedance and removal capabilities. In the ideal state, if this formation is completed, the opponent can basically be carried away.

Then Fujiki You Xuan also went back to his laboratory, checked the progress of all projects and all departments, and by the way, got a batch of new cards developed in the latest issue that he felt he might be able to use.

Among them, other series derivatives are not mentioned for now, but there is one card worth mentioning.

Sleeping Giant Thud.

!

This card has a great background. It first appeared in "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's", and was called the top-level monster "comparable to the three Egyptian Gods" in the anime. But interestingly, as a god-level monster, this card is not only not rare, but is evaluated as "everyone has at least one" in the anime, and is the most common road goods.

But at the same time, the anime also said that in the history of dueling, since the birth of this card, no one has ever summoned it.

Anime setting, Sleeping Giant Thud cannot be Normal Summoned. Only when a Level 1 Normal Monster exists face-up on your field for more than ten turns, tribute that monster, and this card can be Special Summoned from the hand.

Once the summoning is successful, Thud's ATK will become 1000 points higher than the monster it battles forever. And this card cannot be the target of any Spell, Trap, or monster effects, and the effect of the monster it battles is negated.

The version developed by Fujiki You Xuan here is not consistent with the anime, but the real card version.

The real card version retains the summoning conditions similar to the original, but overall it has become looser.

Once per turn, show Thud in your hand to the opponent, and you can place a counter on a Level 1 Normal Monster on your field. Tribute a Level 1 Normal Monster with ten counters on the field, and you can Special Summon it from your hand.

Compared with the original anime version, if you have three Thuds in your hand, you can place three counters in one turn, theoretically speaking, you only need to summon Thud in the fourth turn, not necessarily waiting for ten turns like the anime.

But in the anime, even if you don't draw Thud, the turn count starts while the Level 1 Normal Monster is on the field. But for the real card effect, you must draw Thud to your hand to start accumulating counters, and it's useless even if you summon a Level 1 Normal Monster in advance.

The resistance of the real card Thud has also been strengthened. The real card "Sleeping Giant Thud" is not affected by any card effects, while the anime is only not the target of card effects.

Honestly, the anime effect is a bit unworthy of this harsh summoning condition, and from this point of view, the real card is much more reasonable.

"Okay, all the preparations that should be done are done."

Fujiki You Xuan's harvest inventory is complete.

"Then it's almost time to set off."
