Chapter 817: Nothing More Than That

"For the organization and comrades..."

Fujiki You Xuan looked at Izayoi, and suddenly had a strange sense of déjà vu in his heart.

A sense of déjà vu where the opponent shouts something about friendship or bonds and rushes up, and after the card-printing machine starts, they are about to finish him off in a few moves...

Well, but since he wants to play the villain, let him act to the end.

"But having said that, I'll say it again." He looked up at Izayoi Aki and said, "The current you is nothing more than a puppet manipulated by Divine. Until you can truly accept your own power, accept yourself, and become a duelist who can truly think independently, you cannot win against me."

"You've been noisy since just now!" Aki said angrily, "All your cards have been destroyed, and Black Rose Dragon will return to my field next turn. The advantage is still on my side!"

"Maybe for now." Fujiki You Xuan said, "My turn, draw."

"I activate the Spell Card 'takeover5', sending the top five cards of my Deck to the Graveyard."

Fujiki You Xuan drew five cards in a row and sent them to the Graveyard one by one.

"Activate the Spell Card 'Spider Web'." Fujiki You Xuan said, "I can obtain a card sent to the Graveyard by the opponent one turn ago."

"The card I want to obtain from your Graveyard is this one." (Original card)

A spider web flew out, shot into Izayoi's Graveyard, stuck to a Spell Card, and flew back.

"I add the Field Spell 'Black Garden' to my hand."

Izayoi Aki frowned.

Does this guy also want to use Black Garden?

"Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis has revived again. This troublesome monster seems to reliably reduce my Life Points regardless of battle or effect destruction."

"In that case..."

Fujiki You Xuan smiled slightly and shook a card in his hand.

"I Tribute the 'Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis' on your field, and Special Summon this powerful monster on your field! One of the Lava couple—"

"—Volcanic Queen!!!"

The floor trembled, and scorching orange-red light burst from the cracked fissures. Lava surged out like a giant snake, ruthlessly sweeping Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis into the boiling magma. Pitch-black smoke wrapped in sparks rushed out from the cracks, staining the field into a blood prison.

The heat wave distorted the air, and Volcanic Queen's body seemed to be covered in flowing magma, a pair of giant wings unfolded, as if cracks were crisscrossing on the shell constructed of lava, as if covered in lava armor, and every time the wings flapped, scorching debris peeled off from her body.

【Volcanic Queen, ATK 2500】

Izayoi Aki: "..."

No, this is never-ending, right?

Eating my Amaryllis again?

Do you have any new tricks?

Then Fujiki You Xuan continued: "One of the five cards sent to the Graveyard by takeover5 just now is this one. 'Exiled Force... no, 'Dark Lucius'..." (Wait, the glossary says 'Executioner - Makyura') "Executioner - Makyura'."

The gloomy, spike-covered spirit of the executioner appeared on his field.

"The turn Executioner - Makyura is sent to the Graveyard, I can activate Trap Cards from my hand." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Therefore, I activate the Continuous Trap 'Brain Control Release' from my hand."

"As long as Brain Control Release exists on the field, the control of all cards on the field returns to their original controllers!"

Aki: "!"

She looked at the Volcanic Queen on her field, her pupils shrinking slightly.

Control returns, doesn't that mean...

Sure enough, Volcanic Queen flapped her wings and had already arrogantly flown back to Fujiki You Xuan's field on the opposite side.

I don't know if it was intentional to anger people, but after flying back, she even patted her belly with her wings, burped, and spat out a ball of scorching hot air.

As if to say, thanks for the treat.

Aki: "..."

"Same as Lava Golem, I cannot Normal Summon the turn Volcanic Queen is summoned." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Then battle, Volcanic Queen attacks directly!"

The lava patterns all over the Queen's body seemed to be lit up by magma, scorching heat waves filled her mouth, turning into a rotating vortex of heat waves, exploding like a cannon piercing through space.

"Activate set card." Aki said, "Trap Card 'Enemy Attack Alarm'."

"When the opponent declares an attack, Special Summon a monster from my hand, and the opponent must forcibly attack that monster."

Aki revealed the monster in her hand.

"Special Summon the second 'Phoenix Flower Seed'!"

【Phoenix Flower Seed, DEF 0】

Phoenix Flower Seed No. 2, is the seed before Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis grows up.

"A defensive monster?" Fujiki You Xuan said, "Then Volcanic Queen attacks 'Phoenix Flower Seed'."

In fact, he had no other choice; the monster summoned by Enemy Attack Alarm must be forcibly attacked. Volcanic Queen changed her offensive stance, recharged, and spat out dazzling fire snakes towards Phoenix Flower Seed in the vortex of magma.

The erupting heat wave stirred Aki's rose-colored hair, the hair dancing like a cluster of flames. She faced the incoming heat wave without fear, her expression cold and stern: "My anger and pain, let me make you feel it with this card!"

"Activate Trap, 'Thorn Wall'!"

"When a Plant-Type monster face-up on my field is selected as an attack target, destroy all Attack Position monsters on the opponent's field!"

A green wall constructed of thorns rose up, blocking Aki's field like a shield. Volcanic Queen's fireball hit the thorn wall, immediately causing a thousand waves like a stone, causing the stubborn thorns to counterattack violently.

The flames backfired, accompanied by thousands of thorn tentacles, instantly piercing Volcanic Queen's body, quickly exploding into a ball of fire.

Basically a plant-limited version of Mirror Force.

Fujiki You Xuan raised an arm to block in front of him.

"Is this your anger and sorrow? The power to deny everything, destroy everything, and burn everything to ashes."

He looked directly into Aki's eyes, watching the girl panting violently due to the full-power activation of her psychokinesis.

It seems that psychokinesis and dark dueling have one more difference, which is that materializing the power of cards consumes physical strength.

It's as if every time a materialized attack is activated, the duelist themselves has to inject some kind of energy into the summoned monster and the activated card. If you keep outputting at high power, the burden on your own physical strength is not small.

Aki seems to have never mastered the switch to turn off psychokinesis; as long as she duels, even if she doesn't intentionally inject psychokinesis, the power of the cards will be maintained at a relatively low intensity of materialization.

After looking at each other for a few seconds, the corners of Fujiki You Xuan's mouth suddenly rose slightly again.

"... Nothing more than that."

Aki seemed to be stimulated again, her body trembled, and she said angrily: "What did you say?"

"I said, nothing more than that. I still haven't seen any part that makes my eyes light up."

Fujiki You Xuan shook his head and said.

"The turn 'Volcanic Queen' used its effect to be summoned, I cannot Normal Summon again. Then my turn ends here."

He made a provocative gesture and said.

"My field is empty now. Come on, if you are not convinced by what I said, come and try to defeat me."
