Chapter 819: Plant Potential

Aki: "!"

Not his own deck?

Thinking about it now, it's true. Aki felt it was very strange that Director Goodwin of the Public Security Maintenance Bureau was actually using the same Plant-Type deck as herself.

And at the beginning of the duel, she did take advantage of the fact that the opponent was using a Plant-Type deck.

Her Continuous Trap 'Rose Flame' was originally intended to be used with 'Black Garden' when she built her deck. Every time she summoned a monster, she could correspondently summon a Plant-Type token on the opponent's field, so she could burn the opponent for 500 Life Points through Rose Flame.

Today, it just so happened that the opponent was using a Plant-Type deck, so the opponent also had to take burn damage when summoning monsters, which made her burn efficiency higher than usual.

She originally thought this was simply because she was lucky, but looking at it this way, it seems there is another reason.

And it's not his usual main deck... which means, this guy is using a non-main deck, and is still fighting her to a standstill while bearing the disadvantageous condition of 'Rose Flame'...

No, saying it was a standstill is a bit flattering to herself.

Although she didn't think much in her rage before, but now that she has calmed down a bit, Aki seems to be able to feel that the opponent has always been at ease.

"I use Plant-Type because I know, Izayoi Aki, Plant-Type is your most proud deck." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Because only this way can I let you see how immature and weak you are."

"Your mastery of your deck doesn't even count as the tip of the iceberg, just like your understanding of your own power."

"My turn, draw."

A burst of golden light erupted from Fujiki You Xuan's Graveyard.

"Activate the effect of the Spell Card 'takeover5' from the Graveyard. During the Standby Phase of my turn, if this card exists in the Graveyard, banish this card from the Graveyard and a card with the same name from the Deck, and draw one card from the Deck."

The Spell Card disappeared in a flickering golden light, and Fujiki You Xuan drew a card.

"Then it's the field I obtained from your Graveyard last turn."

Fujiki You Xuan raised the Spell Card in his hand.

"Field Spell 'Black Garden'!"

The field that was once activated by Izayoi and then destroyed by Black Rose Dragon descended again as Fujiki You Xuan's field. Pitch-black vines crisscrossed and covered everything in the floor, as if a plant cage had trapped both sides inside.

Aki's expression tightened.

It's here, the Black Garden taken from her.

What does this guy want to do?

"Then Normal Summon 'Lingual Spirit' from my hand, in Defense Position."

【Lingual Spirit, DEF 1600】

Although the race is Fairy-Type, the monster summoned was a pitch-black monster like a zombie, with unknown characters carved all over its dark, shriveled body.

This is a card designed based on the 'Lingual Spirit' in ancient mythology. Mythology believes that in ancient times, everyone could use language as a kind of 'curse' to control creatures other than themselves. Those who could call out the true names of monsters had the ability to control them as servants, which is the so-called 'Lingual Spirit'.

Aki frowned and said: "Although I don't know what you are planning... but the monster you summoned must be affected by the 'Black Garden' effect you activated, and its ATK and DEF are halved."

"And, Special Summon a 'Rose Token' on my field!"

【Rose Token, ATK 800】

"Good, Special Summon a 'Rose Token' on your field."

Fujiki You Xuan chuckled, then pointed to the Continuous Trap that had been in his back row before.

"But you haven't forgotten, I still have the Continuous Trap 'Brain Control Release' on my field."

Aki: "!"

Right, the effect of Brain Control Release, all cards return to the field of their original controllers.

Now Black Garden is a field activated by Fujiki You Xuan, so the tokens summoned through the Black Garden effect, although summoned on Aki's field, the judgment of 'original owner' is Fujiki You Xuan.

Therefore, as long as the Rose Token is summoned, it will immediately return to Fujiki You Xuan's field due to the effect of 'Brain Control Release'.

Aki watched the Rose Token fly back to Fujiki You Xuan's field immediately after landing, but didn't care, only saying coldly: "So what?"

In other words, this combination became Fujiki You Xuan summoning any monster, and he could buy one and get one free, a Rose Token, barely counting as earning an extra card. But it's just an 800 ATK token, what can it do?

"Next, activate the Spell Card 'Soul Destruction'." Fujiki You Xuan said, "The turn this card is activated, whenever a monster is banished from the Graveyard, I can banish a monster on my field as a substitute."

Aki: "?"

Using monsters on the field to substitute for monsters in the Graveyard to be banished...

At first glance, it seems to be a card with unclear meaning, belonging to the kind of thing that makes people confused about what value it has.

Normally, monster resources on the field are of course more precious than those in the Graveyard. If one can use Graveyard monsters to banish as a cost to activate effects, most people would naturally want to use cards in the Graveyard. Who would want to use monsters on the field to substitute for Graveyard resources to be banished?

"With this, the preparation is complete."

Fujiki You Xuan said calmly.

"My turn ends."

Aki: "?"

Is that it?

After such big talk just now, she was prepared to face the opponent's strongest offensive this turn.

And it's just this?

Loud thunder but small rain, a wave of operations with unclear meaning, can't understand what the opponent is doing at all, and the lineup on the field doesn't show any threat...

"Good, my turn ends..."

Fujiki You Xuan closed his eyes gently and smiled.

It was that chilling smile that made people feel that they had unknowingly fallen into the center of a devil's trap.

"... This duel is also over."

Aki: "!"

What nonsense is this guy talking?

She has the trump card monster Black Rose Dragon on her field, and Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis. And the opponent has already declared the end of the turn...

You've already ended your turn and you can still finish me off?

"During the End Phase, the effect of this card, 'Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis', which was sent to the Graveyard by the effect of 'takeover5' last turn, activates."

Fujiki You Xuan took the monster card returned to his hand from the Graveyard and said.

"Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis exists in the Graveyard, and can be Special Summoned by banishing a Plant-Type monster from the Graveyard."

"The same card as me!?" Aki was surprised.

"I said, to prove that your control over your deck and your power is not even one-tenth." Fujiki You Xuan said calmly, "Now let you understand this point."

"Because of the effect of 'Soul Destruction', if I banish a monster from the Graveyard this turn, I will use a monster on the field as a substitute instead."

"Therefore, I banish the 'Rose Token' on my field to substitute for the cost required for 'Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis' to revive."

"Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis revives from the Graveyard!"

【Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis, DEF 0】

Fujiki You Xuan: "The moment Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis revives, the effect of 'Black Garden' activates."

"Because a monster was Special Summoned on my field, I summon a 'Rose Token' on your field."

【Rose Token, ATK 800】

"Of course, the effect of 'Brain Control Release'." Fujiki You Xuan chuckled, "'Rose Token' returns to my field from your field."

Aki's apricot-colored pupils contracted, as if she had begun to see that the direction of things was wrong.

"The effect of Lingual Spirit." Fujiki You Xuan said, "When Lingual Spirit exists on the field, monsters with the same name cannot exist on the field."

"When a monster with the same name as a monster already on the field is summoned, that monster with the same name is directly destroyed."

Aki opened her mouth: "My field already has 'Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis'..."

"Yes." Fujiki You Xuan said lightly, "Your field already has 'Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis', and my 'Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis' was summoned later."

"Therefore, the 'Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis' I just summoned is destroyed."

Boom!

The Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis that had just been summoned hadn't had time to stand firm before it exploded with a bang. Sparks flew, and the dying flames shot out, burning across Izayoi Aki's body.

Aki groaned and retreated half a step, swaying.

【Aki, LP 2750 → LP 1950】

"When Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis is destroyed, inflict 800 points of damage to the opponent... you know this effect better than anyone, right?" Fujiki You Xuan laughed.

The pain that transcended the psychokinetic duel made Aki gasp for breath. But she had no time to care about this now, because she already understood what she was facing...

"This effect processing is still in my End Phase." Fujiki You Xuan said lightly, "During the End Phase, 'Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis' exists in my Graveyard."

"The effect of Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis, when it exists in the Graveyard during my End Phase, it can be Special Summoned by banishing a Plant-Type monster from the Graveyard. This effect does not have a once-per-turn limit; as long as the prerequisite 'exists in the Graveyard during the End Phase' is met, it can be activated no matter how many times."

"Then the effect of 'Soul Destruction', I banish the 'Rose Token' on my field as a substitute, and revive 'Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis'."

【Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis, DEF 800】

Fujiki You Xuan: "The effect of 'Black Garden', Special Summon a 'Rose Token' on your field."

"The effect of 'Brain Control Release', 'Rose Token' returns to my field."

"The effect of 'Lingual Spirit', because there are two Amaryllis on the field at the same time, my 'Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis' is destroyed."

"When 'Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis' is destroyed, inflict 800 points of damage to you."

【Aki, LP 1950 → LP 1150】

"The effect of Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis, banish a Plant-Type monster from the Graveyard, revive from the Graveyard."

"The effect of Soul Destruction, banish the Rose Token on my field as a substitute..."

"..."

Aki covered her mouth that she couldn't help but open wide, and retreated two steps in despair.

This is an infinite loop!

An infinite loop composed of Black Garden and Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis!

"Good, Black Garden gives me a token for free every time Amaryllis is summoned, and as long as there are these endless Rose Tokens, the number of times Amaryllis can revive is infinite."

Fujiki You Xuan smiled gently and said.

"And as long as it keeps reviving in this cycle, the damage inflicted on you by the self-destruction of Phoenix Cluster Amaryllis... is infinite!"
