Chapter 832: Learning while riding

"Spell Card 'Fusion Birth'!"

An image of the Spell Card appeared beside the Skeleton Knight as he sped along, and the magic power released from the card formed a giant vortex.

The Skeleton Knight said: "I draw five cards from the top of my Deck and send all five to the Graveyard!"

"If among them there happen to be the Fusion Material monsters specified by a Fusion Monster, then I can perform a Fusion Summon for that Fusion Monster!" (Manga card)

"Actually using Fusion to launch an attack..."

Although Fujiki You Xuan was slightly surprised, he wasn't particularly shocked. Although this dimension focused on Synchro, it didn't mean they couldn't use Fusion. The protagonists Yusei and Jack had both used Fusion Monsters, and the Speed Spells of Turbo Duels also included the Fusion-specific Spell Card "Speed Fusion."

The Skeleton Knight drew five cards in one breath, and then cold, sharp light was released from the pupils beneath his stark white skull mask.

"Among the cards confirmed from the top of the Deck, there are these two."

"'Zombie Master' and 'Gorgon's Eye'!"

The images of the two monsters were projected onto both sides of his galloping warhorse, drawn in by the vortex of the Fusion Spell.

"The Fusion condition is two Zombie-type monsters!"

"Use the souls of two dead men to summon the Lord of the Underworld! Break through the gates of the Underworld and appear—"

"—Underworld Dragon - Dragonecro!"

The two undead creatures were swept into the vortex, turning into a pillar of Fusion light that pierced the sky of the Satellite sector. Deep beneath the earth, the wailing of ten thousand dead seemed to echo, and thick, blue-gray fog surged out onto the duel track.

The first things to emerge from the fog were dragon claws wreathed in yin energy, with liquid shadows flowing between the dark silver bone joints. A long skeletal tail swept across the entire field, striking the ground violently, as if the very foundation the altar stood upon were sinking.

【Underworld Dragon - Dragonecro, ATK 3000】

Gravel and rubble splashed, shooting toward Fujiki You Xuan's D-Wheel within the dark whirlwind. But of course, those fragments seemed to hit an invisible barrier and vanish before they could strike him.

"Can you still attack the opponent with the aftermath when a physical monster is summoned?" Fujiki You Xuan maintained his high speed and said calmly.

"Of course," the Skeleton Knight shouted. "In the ritual of the Turbo Duel, whether you lose all your Life Points or lose your ability to ride, the only end waiting for you is death."

"This is the fate of a Turbo Duelist!"

This dragon really didn't look like an ordinary monster; at the very least, it should be a spirit with special abilities. It was wreathed in a massive aura of death, and the sensation it gave people was truly as if it had crawled out from the land of the Underworld, an aggregation of countless dead souls.

With the descent of the Underworld Dragon, the Skeleton Knight's aura seemed to surge by a notch as well.

"Battle!" the Skeleton Knight said. "Underworld Dragon - Dragonecro, attack 'Mobius the Frost Monarch'!"

The moment he gave the order, the Skeleton Knight flicked the reins, and his warhorse stomped its hooves violently, actually leaping into the air!

A transparent black cyclone erupted from him and his mount, as if all the speed and kinetic energy of the moment had been fused into the body of the Underworld Dragon.

The Underworld Dragon rode the cyclone forward, opened its bloody maw, and bit down on the Frost Monarch. A series of crisp, cracking sounds like shattering ice crystals immediately erupted from the Frost Monarch's body.

【Fujiki You Xuan, LP 4100 → LP 3500】

Fujiki You Xuan steadied his D-Wheel in the face of the incoming dark torrent, feeling the impact that seemed to arrive on a rapid dark whirlwind, and understood in his heart.

"So that's it. Fusing the speed of a Turbo Duel into a part of the sensation, strengthening the impact of a Dark Duel..."

The corners of his mouth curled into a slight smile.

"This method is somewhat interesting."

Skeleton Knight: "."

What's going on? This guy's composure...

"Hmph, you don't think the Underworld Dragon's attack is only to this extent, do you?"

As the Skeleton Knight spoke, the Underworld Dragon - Dragonecro had already flown back from Fujiki You Xuan's field. But strangely, even though it had retreated, its tightly clenched jaws still hadn't loosened.

And Mobius the Frost Monarch, which should have been destroyed by the battle, hadn't left the field either, but remained staggering on Fujiki You Xuan's field. It was just that a spirit body wreathed in ice energy was being forcibly dragged out from within Mobius's body, carried all the way back to the Skeleton Knight's field by the Underworld Dragon.

Then, the Underworld Dragon spat out turbid energy from its mouth, and the transparent soul body it had snatched was immediately polluted by the pitch-black turbid energy, gradually taking shape and changing into an image identical to Mobius the Frost Monarch, except it was pitch-black, the exact opposite of the white, holy body of the Frost Monarch.

"This is the power of the Underworld Dragon!" the Skeleton Knight said. "Underworld Dragon - Dragonecro doesn't just simply crush the opponent; it can extract the opponent's soul, and even pollute the soul, causing it to fall into darkness!"

"And the remaining empty shell is not allowed to die, becoming a puppet that loses even its combat ability, living a life worse than death!"

At this moment, the remaining shell of the Frost Monarch remained beside Fujiki You Xuan's D-Wheel, truly like a shell whose soul had been extracted, its form swaying in the wind like a tattered rag.

The Skeleton Knight's explanation was very abstract, but fortunately, Fujiki You Xuan had an impression of this dragon's effect.

Underworld Dragon - Dragonecro: Monsters that battle this card are not destroyed by battle, but their ATK becomes 0 after the battle.

And afterward, the controller of Dragonecro can Special Summon an "Acolyte of the Underworld Token" to their own field, gaining the same Level and ATK as the opponent's monster.

【Acolyte of the Underworld Token, ATK 2400】

【Mobius the Frost Monarch, ATK 0】

"Fallen Acolyte of the Frost Monarch!" the Skeleton Knight shouted. "Deliver the final blow to that shell that has already lost its soul!"

At the same time, the Skeleton Knight's warhorse leaped into the air again, bolstered by the dark storm around its body, causing the momentum of the Acolyte Frost Monarch to suddenly increase as well, slamming into Fujiki You Xuan's Frost Monarch.

The Frost Monarch's shell had completely lost the ability to fight back and could only be helplessly shattered by the Acolyte, its body exploding into fragments of ice and dissipating.

【Fujiki You Xuan, LP 3500 → LP 1100】

This impact was even more violent, and the Skeleton Knight seemed to have turned his entire body's strength into the speed of a sprint, fusing it into that dark impact. With the dark storm and the cyclone of cold air, Fujiki You Xuan's D-Wheel was almost like a lone boat in a tsunami, swallowed up and vanishing without a trace in an instant.

The Skeleton Knight rode forward while keeping an eye on the billowing smoke screen.

With such a massive amount of damage combined with his all-out dark sensation, logically speaking, most riders should have been unable to smoothly shake off that impact and continue speeding, and should have been defeated right there.

However, only a moment later.

The roar of a D-Wheel pierced the sky, shooting out like an arrow tearing through the thick smoke screen.

Fujiki You Xuan was riding his D-Wheel, immediately in hot pursuit, and there was even a look of quite some interest on his face.

"Tsk tsk, that shot just now was good. Fusing the speed of a Turbo Duel into a Dark Duel to upgrade the sensation—is that an explosive speed boost at the moment of attack?"

"No, that doesn't seem to be all; it also needs to be synchronized with the monster's attack. This move seems to have some difficulty."

The Skeleton Knight opened his mouth, but for a moment, he couldn't speak.

This guy took his full-power dark sensation, and not only was he fine...

But he was actually excitedly discussing Turbo Duel techniques with him?
