Chapter 839

In the middle of the night, the King Jack Atlas suddenly opened his eyes in his top-tier apartment, his body sitting up suddenly as if he were on a spring.

"Ugh... what? This pain..."

He covered his Kirin arm, rolled up his sleeve, and looked at his glowing arm.

"Dragon Mark, this pain is... and the uneasiness surging in my heart..."

Jack frowned, then instinctively looked out the window, toward the direction of the duel venue that should have been empty at this time.

"What's going on?"

"..."

Jack was not an isolated case. Almost at the same moment, Luna, Akiza Izinski, and Yusei Fudo, several Signers, also woke up from their sleep, feeling the pain in their arms.

At this time, they still knew nothing about the meaning of the Dragon Mark and the destiny on their bodies. But even so, they all instinctively felt the crisis and suffocation through the Dragon Mark.

It was as if something was reminding them that danger was close at hand.

And it was right in this city, right beside them.

"..."

"My turn, draw."

It was Fujiki You Xuan's turn.

【Fujiki You Xuan, Speed Counter 1 → 2】

【Bommer, Speed Counter 1 → 2】

"In the second turn, my Speed Counter has become two," Fujiki You Xuan said. "Therefore, I can activate this card from my hand."

"Speed Spell 'Angel Baton'!" "If you have two or more Speed Counters, you can draw two cards from your deck, then discard one card from your hand to the Graveyard."

Probably the Speed Spell with the highest appearance rate in the anime, limited to Turbo Duels, a low-profile "Graceful Charity."

Bommer: "At this moment, activate face-down card!"

"Continuous Trap 'Appropriate'! This card can only be activated when you draw a card from the deck other than during the Draw Phase."

"After that, every time the opponent draws a card from the deck other than during the Draw Phase, you draw two cards from your deck."

"Appropriate, a trap that makes people nostalgic," Fujiki You Xuan smiled and said. "Then, first of all, let this guy appear. I Normal Summon from my hand, 'Abyssal Soldier'!"

A water vortex formed on the side of the speeding D-Wheel. A golden trident parted the water, and the Fishman soldier waved the trident and flew out from the vortex, with water splashing all around.

【Abyssal Soldier, ATK 1800】

"Abyssal Soldier's effect," Fujiki You Xuan said. "Once per turn, discard one Water monster from your hand, and you can select one card on the field and return it to the owner's hand."

Fujiki You Xuan sent a card from his hand to the Graveyard.

"Hmph, this tactic won't work on me!" Bommer said proudly. "Activate face-down card, Trap Card 'Illusory Spellbound'!"

"Make the attack power of one monster on the field decrease by 500 points until the end of the turn, and negate the monster's effect!" (Original card)

He turned around on that huge D-Wheel and pointed at Abyssal Soldier.

"Bind 'Abyssal Soldier' and negate its monster effect!"

A looming seal formation appeared under Abyssal Soldier's feet. The Fishman soldier groaned with effort, its body color dimmed, and the water on the trident suddenly dissipated.

【Abyssal Soldier, ATK 1800 → ATK 1300】

"Negated, huh," Fujiki You Xuan said. "Then let's just battle."

"Use 'Abyssal Soldier' to attack 'Magic Reactor - AID'."

Magic Reactor's defense power was only 900, even the weakened Abyssal Soldier was stronger. The Fishman soldier cheered up, thrusting the trident straight, carrying a whistling sound through the air at high speed.

"That's what I was waiting for!" Bommer shouted. "At this moment, activate face-down card! Trap Card 'Fake Explosion Five Stars'!"

"This card can only be activated when the opponent declares an attack, so that your monster will not be destroyed by that battle!"

The trident thrust violently into the Magic Reactor, but transparent electric currents sparked on the sturdy metal shell, as if some kind of repulsive force bounced Abyssal Soldier backward.

"And, after damage calculation," Bommer showed another card from his hand, "you can Special Summon one 'Summon Reactor - SK' from your hand or Graveyard."

"Appear! Summon Reactor - SK!"

Boom!

An explosion occurred where the trap was, blowing out transparent firelight and smoke. The green steel mecha flew out from the black smoke, its two turbines spinning with a clatter, looking like a Transformer transforming from a glider into a robot.

【Summon Reactor - SK, ATK 2000】

"After Summon Reactor is Magic Reactor, let me guess, you already have Trap Reactor in your hand, right?" Fujiki You Xuan said.

Bommer didn't pay any attention at all.

"So cold. Then I set two cards, turn ends."

Two face-down cards flashed briefly on both sides of Fujiki You Xuan's D-Wheel, but after a flash, they quickly became transparent and disappeared, looking as if they had melted into the world of high speed.

"My turn, draw!"

Bommer said.

"Summon the last reactor, 'Trap Reactor - Y FI'!"

Another green airplane with an ancient shape flew out from the summoning vortex, the nose folded toward the chest, and the cockpit rose to become the head. The wings turned into hands, and the tail wings split into feet, becoming a flying robot floating on Bommer's side.

【Trap Reactor - Y FI, ATK 800】

The suffixes of the three reactors, SK, Y FI, and AID, combined to form "SKY."

"This way it's gathered!"

Bommer spread his five fingers forward and shouted.

"Activate the effect of 'Summon Reactor - SK'!"

"When you have gathered SK, Y FI, and AID, the three reactors, on your field, by sending all three of these reactors to the Graveyard, Special Summon 'Flying Fortress SKY FIRE' from your hand, deck, or Graveyard!"

"With all my anger, combine!"

The Summon Reactor was in the center, and the other two reactors were on the sides. The mecha began to transform, approaching each other as if attracted by magnets, combining and assembling. The huge machine that was synthesized grew hands and feet, the fan at the nose of the chest spun, and thick cannon barrels locked onto the target.

Flying Fortress SKY FIRE, summon!

【Flying Fortress SKY FIRE, ATK 3000】

"It appeared so quickly, your trump card SKY FIRE," Fujiki You Xuan said. "It seems your motivation is indeed very full."

To gather these three specific reactors on the field at the same time, and Bommer didn't have enough effective search and dispatch means in his hand. Such a card-clogging system could operate freely every time, which could only be done in the anime.

Of course, this can probably also be considered proof that Bommer is a strong player.

"The anger of losing my hometown, all my relatives, all my brothers and sisters... Why didn't you let any of them go? What mistake did they make? Why should they die miserably like this?"

The more he spoke, the angrier he became, his huge fists trembling.

"Look, Goodwin! This SKY FIRE is my anger, the anger of all those who died miserably for your selfish desires!"

"Now I will ignite this anger!"

Bommer shouted.

"Activate the effect of 'Flying Fortress SKY FIRE'!"

"Once per turn, discard one card from your hand, and destroy one card on the opponent's field!"

Bommer discarded a card from his hand to the Graveyard.

"Destroy the face-down card in the back row!"
