Chapter 843: Destruction game

"Come on Boomer, I've summoned a new monster again."

Fujiki You Xuan laughed.

"Bomb, or not bomb?"

Boomer pondered.

This guy is provoking me...

No, can't fall for it.

Boomer hated this cold, ruthless, and despicable Goodwin to the bone. But the more he hated, the more he understood that he couldn't be impulsive at this time, and couldn't lose his judgment because of the other party's provocation.

Water Goddess Aquaria, this card itself didn't look like a threat either. The opponent's continuous summoning should just be to trick him into handing over the once-per-turn summoning counter-effect of Giant Bomber Air Raid. Fishborg Blaster, Water Goddess, these monsters themselves couldn't break the situation. Since that was the case, then just wait for the moment when the opponent performed tuning and summoned a Synchro monster, and then destroy that Synchro monster, which would be equivalent to destroying all the monsters used as Synchro materials by the opponent in one go, which was the means to maximize the consumption of the opponent's resources.

Not to mention that the summoning of Water Goddess Aquaria was a Special Summon. Boomer hadn't forgotten that Goodwin's Normal Summon for this turn hadn't even been used yet, and he could still summon new monsters from his hand to perform Synchro Summoning, perhaps summoning a big monster with an effect to break this situation.

So Boomer decided: "I don't activate the effect of Giant Bomber Air Raid!"

"Thanks for letting it pass," Fujiki You Xuan smiled, "Then I won't be polite."

Saying that, with a wave of his hand, the three monsters on the field flew up one after another under his command.

"I use the Level 1 Tuner monster 'Fishborg Blaster'!"

"Level 1 'Swap Frog'!"

"Level 4 'Water Goddess Aquaria'!"

"Tuning!"

All three monsters were WATER-attribute, satisfying the restriction of "must use WATER Synchro materials" when performing a Synchro Summon for "Fishborg Blaster."

【1+1+4=6】

"The freezing stars condense on the blade's tip, the spear of winter that pierces the sky! Synchro Summon—"

"—Level 6, Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier!!!"

——Level six, Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier!!!"

Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier, summon!

【Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier, ATK 2300】

"Sure enough!"

Boomer felt wise for his decision, saying.

"It seems this is your trump card monster, but I won't let you have the chance to use it, Goodwin!"

"Giant Bomber Air Raid's effect! Once per turn during the opponent's turn, when the opponent summons or Special Summons a monster, destroy the summoned monster and inflict 800 points of damage to the opponent!"

Boomer clenched his fist, and one punch seemed to hit Brionac, which had just landed.

"Destroy 'Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier'!"

Having just appeared and not even had time to stand firm, the giant bomber mecha had already flown above Brionac, and the bomb bay had begun to open slowly, ready to drop bombs downward at any time.

Yusei, who was watching from outside the field, also couldn't help but be secretly shocked: "This duelist named Boomer is also very calm, completely not impulsive because of Goodwin's provocation. Of course, what's more important is the terrifying ability of this Giant Bomber. The ability to destroy monsters during the opponent's turn not only makes it impossible for the opponent to summon powerful monsters to organize an attack, but also consumes the resources used to summon powerful monsters. In this way, the resource gap between the two sides will become larger and larger, and the defensive side will only become more and more disadvantageous."

Jack also said calmly: "It is indeed a difficult opponent."

He didn't say anything else, just stared straight at "Goodwin" who was speeding.

He had never seen Goodwin duel, but Goodwin's duel today had exceeded his expectations for Goodwin. He had never thought before that Goodwin would be such a hidden duelist powerhouse.

And he had a strange intuition. He felt that even in the face of such a situation, this Goodwin still seemed to be confident.

"Actually specifically leaving the effect of the bomber for my Brionac, how despicable."

Fujiki You Xuan acted distressed.

"It was difficult to summon the trump card that came back to life... Damn it! My Brionac, you... my Brionac..."

Boomer shouted: "This degree is not enough to repay one-tenth of your blood debt! Disappear, Goodwin's trump card! And Goodwin, the next one to be destroyed will be you!"

"Hateful guy..."

Fujiki You Xuan was distressed for a few seconds, but at the moment when the bomber flew over his head and the shadow covered him, he suddenly changed his face at light speed and laughed lightly.

"... Just kidding, I lied to you."

Boomer: "!?"

"Activate face-down card." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Trap Card 'Cross Counter Trap'."

"In the turn this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, I have only one chance to activate a Trap card from my hand." (Manga card)

It was also a Trap card used by Yugi back then.

Between the commentary, the image of this Cross Counter Trap card had already started to change. The ripples of starlight rolled slowly over the Trap card, and the image of the Trap card changed into a completely different Trap, releasing an endless vortex, dark, desperate, as if the monster in purgatory was riding the black fog and sweeping everything away.

"Trap Card 'Great Disaster of the Evil God'!"

"When the opponent declares an attack, destroy all monsters on the field!" (Manga effect)

The evil vortex expanded rapidly until it almost covered the entire field. The terrifying gravity sucked Boomer's Giant Bomber and Dark Aircraft Carrier into it, and under the heavy pressure, the sound of metal being crushed soon came out. Both giant mechas exploded in it, turning into burning fireballs and falling.

"The trap set on the field was just a bluff, the real trap was hidden in the hand," Jack said.

Yusei nodded: "Hmm, a chain trap. Boomer's counterattack was completely grasped by Goodwin from beginning to end. This Director Goodwin is a master of using traps."

"Tch, luck, I guess," Jack sneered. "He chose to set 'Cross Counter Trap', and held the real killer move 'Great Disaster of the Evil God' in his hand, but the premise for this double trap to be established is that Boomer will go to destroy his face-down card in the back row. If Boomer didn't go to destroy the face-down card..."

"No, it's not a bet, nor is it luck. It's Goodwin analyzing the situation and intentionally leading the duel into such a situation."

Yusei shook his head and said.

"In the last turn, Boomer activated 'Subspace Matter Transporter'. He could choose to protect the carrier, or he could choose to protect the Giant Bomber. And in the end, he chose the carrier..."

Reminded by Yusei, Jack suddenly reacted: "Right, if it's only one of two, he should have chosen the more powerful Giant Bomber. But Boomer chose to use a trap to protect the Dark Aircraft Carrier in the last turn..."

Yusei nodded: "Dark Aircraft Carrier has the effect of being able to revive Giant Bomber every turn, which is the guarantee of endurance. There is only one situation where Boomer would choose to prioritize protecting the Dark Aircraft Carrier..."

Jack blurted out: "He was sure he could revive Giant Bomber again in the next turn!"

"Yes. So the revival of Giant Bomber in this turn is not a coincidence, but a certainty," Yusei said. "Giant Bomber's effect is that it can destroy a card on the field by discarding a hand card. Assuming Goodwin has both Brionac and a face-down card on the field at the same time, and Goodwin's Life Points are still 4000. Giant Bomber's ATK is 3000, and Dark Aircraft Carrier's ATK is only 0, so it can't kill in one turn..."

Jack said: "So Boomer will definitely prioritize destroying the face-down card!"

"Exactly," Yusei nodded, "There is no luck, nor any bet. The development of the duel is completely within Goodwin's calculations."

——Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier!"

The track is frozen over once again, and the sky full of ice shards reflects gorgeous colorful light as they descend, emitting a dragon roar that declares sovereignty over the field!
