Chapter 847: The True God

Sensing the shift in the aura emanating from Bo Ma, Fujiki You Xuan was not the least bit surprised: "Oh? Personally logging in to pilot, are we, Evil God?"

This Evil God was the mastermind behind the Earthbound Immortals, the one who had gathered the Dark Signers. In the anime, whenever a Dark Signer's inner conflict was resolved and they lost their will to fight, this boss would personally log in to take over their account, overriding the Dark Signer's own will to continue the duel by force.

Well, of course, in the anime, this boss was the type who appeared with high-level presence and seemed incredibly formidable, but had a 0-5 record. He hadn't won a single duel he'd personally piloted.

Perhaps that was why, even though he could have snatched the Dark Signers' consciousnesses from the start and remote-controlled them as puppets to duel, he hadn't done so. Instead, he went through the trouble of orchestrating various conspiracies and manufacturing misunderstandings, letting these Dark Signers fight of their own volition.

Perhaps it was because he lacked confidence in his own card-playing skills, who knows.

"Hmph, you have some tricks up your sleeve, more than I thought, Goodwin."

The Evil God, remote-controlling Bo Ma, sneered.

"But now that the Earthbound Immortal has appeared, the duel is already over.

I set one card and end my turn."

"Earthbound Immortal... to think that something bound to the earth could call itself a god." Fujiki You Xuan closed his eyes slightly and scoffed, "It seems necessary to broaden your horizons a bit, to let you, an undying relic from hell, see what is truly worthy of being called a 'God'."

"Nani?" The Evil God was startled.

Fujiki You Xuan: "My turn, draw."

A card in Fujiki You Xuan's Graveyard automatically exited.

"The 'Yomi Frog' in the Graveyard can be Special Summoned if there are no cards in my Spell & Trap Zone. Special Summon 'Yomi Frog'!"

【Yomi Frog, ATK 100】

Although the Field Spell 'Speed World' was still on the field, the nature of Speed World in a Turbo Duel was special; it was a public field and did not belong to either side. Therefore, it was not judged as a Spell/Trap card on Fujiki You Xuan's field.

"Also, during the Standby Phase, 'Killer Snake' in the Graveyard returns to my hand."

"At this moment, my Speed Counters have reached six. Therefore, I activate the Speed Spell 'Drop Off' from my hand!" Fujiki You Xuan said, "Removing all six Speed Counters, I draw two cards from my Deck."

Fujiki You Xuan used up all his Speed Counters in one breath, and his D-Wheel rapidly decelerated, falling behind Bo Ma's chariot.

Fujiki You Xuan drew two cards.

"Using up all your Speed Counters." The Evil God controlling Bo Ma sneered, "Giving up your right to use Spell cards?"

"Because it's no longer needed," Fujiki You Xuan said.

"Nani?"

Fujiki You Xuan: "'Swap Frog' in my hand can discard one WATER monster from my hand to Special Summon itself.

I discard the 'Killer Snake' I just retrieved to Special Summon 'Swap Frog'!"

【Swap Frog, ATK 1000】

"When 'Swap Frog' is summoned, I send one WATER monster of Level 2 or lower from my Deck to the Graveyard.

I send 'Dupe Frog' from my Deck to the Graveyard."

"Then I activate the effect of 'Dupe Frog' from the Graveyard. 'Dupe Frog' can Special Summon itself by banishing one 'Frog' monster from the Graveyard.

I banish the 'Des Frog' discarded last turn for the effect of Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier, to Special Summon 'Dupe Frog'!"

【Dupe Frog, ATK 100】

Fujiki You Xuan let out a long breath.

"With this, the preparations are just about done. Now, as promised just a moment ago..."

Fujiki You Xuan smiled eerily.

"Let me show you a 'God'."

"A God that transcends the Earthbound Immortal?" The Evil God scoffed, "What nonsense are you spouting..."

"I tribute the three monsters: 'Yomi Frog', 'Swap Frog', and 'Dupe Frog'!"

Fujiki You Xuan raised his arm high.

"The incarnation of ultimate fear, the trembling God—

—The Wicked Avatar, summon!!!"

Darkness with the texture of asphalt descended from the sky, and all light sources seemed to flow in reverse, as if everything existing in the world were being sucked into the silhouette of the Evil God.

A roar like tearing fabric echoed through the world, and what descended from it hardly resembled a living form. Bleached bones covered a humanoid torso, and beneath the divine body was an endless, rapidly overflowing quagmire, filled with purple lightning like protruding nerves.

The true Evil God, Divine Attribute, Wicked Beast-Type, the incarnation of evil that even had the name of the Evil God printed on the card name.

The Wicked Avatar, summon!

【The Wicked Avatar, ATK 4000】

Even the pressure of the Earthbound Immortal was completely overwhelmed; that massive body seemed like an aggregate of endless evil, the embodiment of the fear of all living things in the world.

Even Yusei and Jack felt their feet rooted to the spot at this moment, a trembling sensation welling up uncontrollably from the bottom of their hearts, making them suffocated.

The Earthbound Immortal that appeared on the other side was already a terrifying existence that challenged their understanding of Duel Monsters to date, the most terrifying thing they had ever seen in their lives.

And this Goodwin had casually pulled out a monster ten times more terrifying than that!

This was a duel that had exceeded the realm of their knowledge.

Yes, a duel that can truly be called reaching the "Realm of the Gods."

"The Wicked Avatar halves the ATK of all other monsters on the field," Fujiki You Xuan said.

【Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu, ATK 2900 -> ATK 1450】

Even the Evil God had to admit that he felt fear.

Fear from that Evil God called The Wicked Avatar, a terrifying existence that seemed not to belong in this dimension, a fear that made one feel like they had fallen into hell just by looking at it.

"No..."

Purple flames seemed to ignite in Bo Ma's eyes. The Evil God withstood the pressure and shouted.

"But even if the ATK is lowered, it's useless! Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu cannot be selected as an attack target!"

"Is that so?" Fujiki You Xuan said coldly, "If I can't attack it, then I'll just attack you.

The Wicked Avatar, direct attack on Bo Ma—no, on the Evil God controlling Bo Ma!"

The Wicked Avatar let out a deep, powerful roar.

It was conveying a message to Fujiki You Xuan, indicating: don't misunderstand, I'm not following your orders, I just find it unpleasant that such a thing dares to arrogantly call itself an "Evil God" these days.

It doesn't mean we've reconciled!

Fujiki You Xuan smiled indifferently.

Doesn't matter, believe whatever you want.

And so, The Wicked Avatar threw a punch at the opponent.

It was as if a wave made of pure, fearful will crashed toward the other side, eroding and corrupting everything in its path within that dark tide.

But the Evil God could still struggle: "Activate face-down card!

Trap card 'Widespread Ruin'!

When the opponent declares an attack, destroy the opponent's monster with the highest ATK!"

The Evil God laughed loudly.

"The Earthbound Immortal cannot be selected as an attack target, so I might be targeted myself—did you think such a thing wouldn't be in my calculations!?"

"I don't know where you got this false god, but be destroyed..."

Fujiki You Xuan was expressionless: "Gods are unaffected by any Trap effects."

"Nani!?"

The twisted face of Bo Ma changed color again.

Completely ignoring the detonation of the landmine, the Evil God's punch struck without any obstruction, piercing through Bo Ma's body with a monstrous wave.

"Roarghhh—"

【Bo Ma, LP 1700 -> LP 0】
