Chapter 849: Fortune Cup Finale

The Fortune Cup reached its second day.

Except for Yusei and Jack, no one knew that the Officer who hosted the event had personally engaged in a life-betting Turbo Duel in this stadium last night. However, when the audience and contestants arrived at the stadium the next morning, they did notice a few cracks on the guardrail on one side of the track.

Fortunately, the scale was small, and it shouldn't have much impact on the competition.

The second day's matches still basically went according to Fujiki You Xuan's expectations. Most of the duelists invited by the Security Bureau completed their respective tasks.

Rua was eliminated early and failed to reveal his potential as a Signer in advance. Although it was a pity, it was within expectations. According to the original work, he shouldn't have awakened so early anyway.

Although Ruka was also eliminated, the goal was achieved. Her opponent was a hypnosis dueling master skilled in mental suggestion. That duelist successfully awakened Ruka's memories from when she was three years old during the duel, making her remember that she had been to the Fairy Realm and had promised the fairies to use her talent to protect the Fairy World from dark forces.

Remembering this promise, Ruka's awakening process also received a significant boost. It's just that her signature dragon as a Signer, "Ancient Fairy Dragon," seemed to still be sealed somewhere in the Fairy Realm, and the young girl would have to find a way to rescue her dragon to complete her thorough awakening.

However, don't look at Ruka as just a little girl; her Ancient Fairy Dragon is probably the most heavyweight among the five dragons of the Signers, and the only one among the five dragons to have won a lifelong seat on the Forbidden List in the physical card environment.

The main reason is that Ancient Fairy Dragon has the effect of "destroying one Field Spell on the field and then searching for another Field Spell."

There are no special restrictions on Synchro materials, and it can search for fields at will. With more and more powerful Field Spells in the Yu-Gi-Oh environment, Ancient Fairy Dragon can almost be abused in any deck that relies on fields.

Coupled with the fact that Ancient Fairy Dragon occasionally makes guest appearances in some first-turn FTK (First Turn Kill) combos, it further accelerated the process of her execution.

So Fujiki You Xuan sometimes even thinks, in the anime setting, Ancient Fairy Dragon is the only dragon of the protagonist group that is in a sealed state when it first appears. Could it be that its fate of sitting in prison for life was already foreseen at that time?

On the afternoon of the second day of the Fortune Cup, the schedule proceeded to the final stage.

Yusei, as expected, successfully broke through the encirclement and encountered Akiza Izinski, who was consumed by the fire of revenge, in the finals.

Just looking at it from this moment, Fujiki You Xuan pondered that he seemed to have added quite a bit of difficulty to Yusei's redemption process.

Akiza Izinski was already lonely and sad because of her experience of being called a witch and being excluded, and now she was even more furious because Sayer, the only one who accepted her, was killed. Yusei wanted to use his voice to knock open her closed heart, which was a step higher in difficulty compared to the original work.

Akiza: "Die! I am a witch, I am a witch who enjoys destruction and enjoys hurting others! You die like the others too!"

She shouted hoarsely, and Black Rose Dragon rushed forward with a sad shriek, stirring up a blood-colored storm throughout the stadium.

Yusei: "No matter how many times, I will take it, pour out all your sadness and loneliness!

Stardust Dragon!"

Stardust Dragon carried his will and flew forward, suddenly hugging Black Rose Dragon.

I have to say that Akiza is probably destined to be countered by Yusei. Black Rose Dragon's effect is "destroy all cards on the field," and Stardust Dragon's effect is "negate and destroy the effect that destroys cards."

Black Rose Dragon's ATK is 2400, Stardust Dragon is 2500, just 100 points higher, as if mocking...

"..."

Yusei: "You have to learn to love yourself, think for yourself!"

"It's because I can't do that, that's why it's painful!"

Akiza became even more furious.

"Shut up, shut up, you've been noisy since just now... you really are just a lackey of that white-haired bastard," Akiza said angrily, "You die too!"

"..."

This battle was also thrilling. But it didn't just refer to the dueling level, but the physical level.

Especially for the audience sitting in the front row. Every time Akiza was about to attack, the audience would quickly leave their seats and run to the back row.

Every time Black Rose Dragon blew up the field, a storm would rise in the air, rubble would fly, and the wind would sweep across the audience like thousands of sharp blades. Such an exciting viewing experience was probably the first time for the audience.

Fortunately, Yusei and his Stardust Dragon were there. Every attack of Black Rose was taken by Stardust, and Black Rose's field destruction was wrapped and resolved by Stardust's sacrifice before it could be activated, so the physical impact did not explode in the maximum range.

Of course, history did not change, and Akiza still lost.

Even if she was angrier than in the original work, even if she exploded with potential, Akiza ultimately could not reach Yusei's level. The result remained that Yusei was more skilled, and Akiza Izinski was eliminated in the finals.

In this way, the Fortune Cup champion was decided. Yusei broke through the encirclement and won the championship throne, and also obtained the opportunity promised by the organizers at the beginning: "Can challenge the King."

The last battle remaining was Yusei, the Fortune Cup champion, challenging Jack Atlas, the King of Dueling of New Domino City.

Of course, even without fighting, one knew that Jack was no longer Yusei's opponent. However, the energy generated by this duel was also unprecedented. After this battle, Yusei could be considered to have officially awakened as a Signer.

Fujiki You Xuan stood on the organizer's observation tower, looking down at the finals between Yusei and Akiza, and muttered: "It seems that this level is the limit at the current stage."

The stimulation of hatred, the desire to become stronger crazily, and then the collision with Yusei, the strongest Signer. After this series of tempering, Fujiki You Xuan could feel that Akiza had probably reached the limit she could reach at the current stage.

"Even if I continue to stimulate her, I'm afraid there won't be much improvement?"

Fujiki You Xuan turned and walked out.

The clown Deputy Director Ye Ge behind him asked strangely: "Officer? Next is the final battle between the King and that Fudo Yusei, isn't that the highlight of this Fortune Cup? You don't plan to..."

Fujiki You Xuan waved his hand without looking back.

"It's fine, just going to handle some business, I'll be back soon."

It was about time to settle things with Akiza.

Sure enough, as soon as Fujiki You Xuan left the observation tower, he met Akiza Izinski at the entrance at the bottom of the building.

Just as he expected. Failing to advance in the competition, she chose to come directly to Goodwin to settle accounts.

The fire of revenge in the girl's apricot-colored eyes had not yet extinguished.

"Do you think you've become stronger, and it will be different from last time?"

Fujiki You Xuan chuckled and raised his Duel Disk.

"Fine. Then, I'll give you one more chance."
