Chapter 931: Desperate Battle

"Majestic Red Dragon has other abilities, right?" Fujiki You Xuan smiled.

Everyone: "!"

Especially Jack, whose expression was the most colorful at this moment, looking at Fujiki You Xuan with suspicion.

Why did this person know even the effect of his Majestic Red Dragon?

You have to know that Majestic Red Dragon was a card that didn't exist in the world originally; it was a miraculous card he printed after Jack fused with the power of the Crimson Dragon. So far, he had only used it for the second time, and the first time was during the duel with the Dark Signer Carly.

But as far as Jack knew, Goodwin shouldn't have been watching that duel. And that duel didn't leave any searchable records; no one outside should know the process of the duel.

So how could he know the effect of Majestic Red Dragon?

Wait, before this...

If the opponent knew the effect of Majestic Red Dragon from the beginning, does that mean that everything, including the situation where Rasca was defeated just now, was still within the opponent's calculations?

Fujiki You Xuan said: "Majestic Red Dragon inherited the original effect of 'Red Dragon Archfiend' and gained further enhancement, right?"

Jack said in a deep voice: "Correct. When Majestic Red Dragon attacks, after damage calculation, all monsters in Defense Position on the field are destroyed!"

Red Dragon Archfiend's effect is activated only after attacking a Defense Position monster, while Majestic Red Dragon activates it as long as it has attacked.

And Red Dragon Archfiend only destroys Defense Position monsters on the opponent's field, while Majestic Red Dragon sweeps indiscriminately. Regardless of enemy or ally, any monster in Defense Position on the field is destroyed. Even this attribute of potentially harming one's own side is inherited from the original Red Dragon Archfiend.

And this effect is a mandatory effect; as long as it has attacked, it must be activated, and even the controller has no choice.

"Correct, because your Majestic Red Dragon just attacked, so it must activate the effect to destroy all Defense Position monsters on the field," Fujiki You Xuan smiled.

"So what?" Jack frowned.

At this time, Majestic Red Dragon's effect had already been forced to activate, the magic dragon roared, and monstrous magic flames erupted, sweeping across the field like a burning tsunami.

Jack thought to himself, the only monsters in Defense Position on the field right now are the three "Earthbound Immortal Tokens" on Goodwin's field, and only Goodwin's monsters are destroyed. It shouldn't matter...

But the next moment, he heard Fujiki You Xuan say: "Activate Set card, Trap Card 'Itaqua's Storm'!

Change all monsters on the opponent's field to Defense Position!"

A black bird appeared on Fujiki You Xuan's field, flapping its giant wings, and the green storm turned into a tornado, sweeping across the three's field.

"Nani!"

Jack's pupils contracted.

Oh no, if the monsters on the field are turned to Defense Position, that means at the same time...

【Majestic Red Dragon, ATK 4000 → DEF 3000】

【Blackwing - Armor Master, ATK 2500 → DEF 1500】

Crow's Armor Master was also turned to Defense Position!

"You bastard!" Jack exclaimed, "You clearly could have stopped this attack before Majestic Red Dragon attacked..."

Indeed, Fujiki You Xuan clearly could have activated this Set card earlier, so that Majestic Red Dragon would have been turned to Defense Position before attacking, the attack would not have been established, and Fujiki You Xuan wouldn't have had to take that 4000 damage.

But he just didn't.

Crow gritted his teeth: "This guy, deliberately took the damage, and from the beginning, he was planning to use Majestic Red Dragon's effect to get rid of my Armor Master..."

For a moment, another thought flashed through his mind.

Maybe that bastard on the opposite side didn't consider whether it was profitable to do so at all. He might just have thought it would be interesting to let their own "internal ghost" harm their teammate's monster.

Fujiki You Xuan smiled: "What a pity, Armor Master, who made great contributions and blocked the Earthbound Immortal's attacks as the final line of defense, who would have thought it would die at the hands of a teammate in the end?"

The three: "..."

This feeling was even stronger; this bastard might really just think it's interesting to watch them harm themselves.

Fujiki You Xuan laughed happily.

Aren't you guys invincible with friendship? Aren't you bonds? Who told you to bring an internal ghost to play together?

The destructive torrent swept across the field. The three Earthbound Immortal Tokens on Fujiki You Xuan's field and Crow's Armor Master all vanished under Majestic Red Dragon's destructive torrent.

Of course, Majestic Red Dragon itself was fine. It's not that Majestic Red Dragon wouldn't blow itself up; its effect is "all Defense Position monsters on the field," which naturally includes itself. But Majestic Red Dragon has destruction resistance that "cannot be destroyed by effects," so it escaped a disaster.

Otherwise, blowing itself up would be even more ridiculous.

"And at the same time, the moment the Earthbound Immortal was destroyed by battle, this card actually had already been activated."

Fujiki You Xuan pointed to a Set card that was revealed after the smoke dissipated beside him.

"Trap Card 'Resurrection Ticket'!

This card can only be activated when a monster on my field is destroyed by battle. Within this turn, for every monster destroyed by battle, I can destroy a corresponding number of Spell or Trap cards on my field and activate this card's effect.

For every Spell/Trap card destroyed, I can Special Summon one monster destroyed by battle from the Graveyard back to the field." (Original card)

Resurrection Ticket, this is one of the Trap cards Yusei used in the anime.

Fujiki You Xuan pointed to the Set card in his back row.

"Destroy this Set card, and revive 'Rasca, Lord of Earthbound Immortals' destroyed by battle within this turn from the Graveyard!"

"Revived again!?"

Everyone was numb.

Are these Earthbound Immortals really all immortal? Is it completely endless?

The earth shattered again, and the Earthbound Immortal that had just fallen under Majestic Red Dragon's strike crawled out from the ground again, standing tall between heaven and earth.

【Rasca, Lord of Earthbound Immortals, ATK 4000】

"It's not over yet, Resurrection Ticket's subsequent effect," Fujiki You Xuan smiled. "After reviving a monster on the field through this card's effect, I can then recover all battle damage that occurred within this turn."

【Fujiki You Xuan, LP 1700 → LP 5700】

The three: "..."

Silence.

Eerie silence.

Especially Jack, whose expression was already dull, his gaze looking at the Earthbound Immortal, which was as tall as an insurmountable mountain, and his eyes were a bit unfocused.

Can we really not win?

He had really used all his strength.

He burned himself, survived death, used "Card of Despair" to dump his entire Deck into the Graveyard, and fought a desperate battle. He gathered the power of the Dragon Marks, even borrowed the power of the Crimson Dragon, printed out a trump card like Majestic Red Dragon, and launched a desperate strike with everything he had.

In fact, he also knew that this strike wouldn't finish him off. The attack could cause 4000 huge damage to the opponent and defeat the Earthbound Immortal, but by the next turn, he would lose because he had no cards to draw.

So Jack had already admitted that he was not as good as the opponent, and admitted that he was not Goodwin's match now. All he wanted to do was to do his best to deal the greatest output for the team before falling, and make as much contribution as possible.

However, in the end, the result was harming the teammate's trump card monster. The Earthbound Immortal returned to the field as if nothing had happened, and even the damage he had worked so hard to deal was wiped out...

Jack Atlas, the former King, looked down at his hands, feeling more powerless than ever since he stepped on the path of dueling, and had never doubted himself as much as he did now.
