Chapter 992

"Alright, the most anticipated match of the WRGP qualifiers has finally reached the white-hot stage. Officer You Xuan continues to miraculously sweep two people in a row and has arrived before Harald, the final duelist of Team Ragnarok!"

The pompadour commentator continued to hype up the atmosphere before Harald arrived at the track.

"So, can Harald win victory for the team? Or will Officer You Xuan continue to write his legend in the WRGP!?"

At this moment, Harald had arrived on the track and said in a deep voice, "Fujiki You Xuan, what a man who exceeds expectations, to be able to fight to this point with gods as opponents... No, even suppressing my companions, he is indeed a terrifying guy."

"You're too kind." You Xuan smiled modestly.

"But that's as far as it goes. Since I'm here, all of this should come to an end." Harald said. "Let's decide the winner, Fujiki You Xuan! Is it your Meklord Emperor, or our Polar Gods!"

"Duel!" x2

【You Xuan, LP 3800】

【Harald, LP 4000】

"Because the turn ended after Brave was defeated, it's now my turn." Harald said. "My turn, draw!"

Harald only glanced at it and immediately played the card he drew: "I Normal Summon 'Polar Star Heaven - Valkyrie'!"

The beautiful and cute Valkyrie spread her snow-white angel wings behind her, pure white feathers scattered across the sky, and it seemed as if holy light was shrouding her from the air.

【Polar Star Heaven - Valkyrie, ATK 400】

"Polar Star Heaven - Valkyrie, effect activate." Harald chuckled. "When this card is successfully summoned, send two cards from my hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon two 'Einherjar Tokens' to my field."

Saying this, he sent two cards to the Graveyard.

"Special Summon Einherjar Tokens!"

【Einherjar Tokens, ATK 1000】 x2

This monster was Harald's key Tuner, capable of bringing out a Polar God directly with one card. But after being made into a physical card, its ability was significantly weakened.

First, in the anime, you only needed to send two arbitrary cards from your hand to the Graveyard; the physical card doesn't send them to the Graveyard but banishes them, and you must banish two monsters with "Polar Star" in their names.

And besides that, the physical card can only activate this effect if the opponent has a monster on their field and you have no other monsters on your field besides this card. The anime version had no usage restrictions.

Therefore, the Three Polar Gods series not only lost their noble Divine Attribute when made into physical cards but also had their effects weakened, and the entire Polar God-related deck was weakened as well.

"Level 2 Tuner monster 'Polar Star Heaven - Valkyrie'."

"Two Level 4 'Einherjar Tokens'."

"Tune!"

【2+4+4=10】

"Oh Emperor who governs omniscience and omnipotence in the Northern Star sky! Show your prestige to the gods who govern the star realm at this moment! Synchro Summon! The supreme god who governs the gods of heaven and earth, Polar God Sacred Emperor - Odin!"

A golden light crackled in the sky, and the sacred golden light pierced through the clouds. Accompanied by the horn of Valhalla, the one-eyed old man wearing a scarlet divine robe descended, stepping on a rainbow bridge. His snow-white beard was like a frozen waterfall, and every whisker pulsed with sacred radiance. The left eye, sealed by a golden ring, constantly seeped liquid golden light, forming glowing divine patterns on his cheeks along the gullies of his wrinkles.

Odin slammed the legendary divine spear Gungnir heavily onto the ground, and the moment the spear tip touched the ground, a ring-shaped golden ripple erupted. When he raised the holy spear to point at the battlefield, the clouds in the entire sky began to rotate with the spear tip as the center, and thunder brewed into a huge totem in the cloud vortex. Polar God Sacred Emperor - Odin, summoned!

【Polar God Sacred Emperor - Odin, ATK 4000】

Odin, Thor, Loki—the three Northern Polar Gods were finally gathered together!

"Truly strong, the three Northern Gods have descended together." You Xuan smiled. "Odin's effect seems to be that it allows the god to gain absolute resistance, right? In this way, all three gods will gain a boost; it's becoming more and more troublesome."

"Oh? You know quite a lot, even knowing the power of my Polar God Sacred Emperor Odin."

Harald narrowed his eyes.

"And the reason you say that is to induce me to activate Odin's effect, right?"

You Xuan: "Oh? Why would I do that?"

"Because this face-down card Brave left for me is a card that couldn't be activated last turn because of the direct attack from your Meklord Emperor Skiel."

Harald analyzed.

"Trap card 'Polar Star Treasure - Megingjörd.' This card can double the ATK of a Polar God. If I use this trap on Odin, Odin's ATK will become 8000."

"As long as I use Odin to destroy your Meklord Emperor Skiel, one strike is enough to complete a one-hit kill; it will be your defeat."

"However, if I activate Odin's effect, the three Polar Gods will not accept any Spell, Trap, or monster effects this turn, which naturally includes my own trap."

"In that case, even if I use Odin to destroy Skiel, I won't be able to achieve a one-hit kill, and you still have another face-down monster on your field..."

He glanced at the other face-down monster on You Xuan's field.

"If I'm not mistaken, that face-down monster might hide some defensive, or even a Flip effect that can counter me, right?"

"So that's it; you think I'm trying to induce you to attack this Flip monster; is that your deduction." You Xuan chuckled. "But I want to remind you. If you attack without activating Odin's effect, then your god won't have invincible resistance, right?"

"It doesn't matter, I'm willing to take that risk." Harald smiled. "You might be trying to induce my actions with words, but unfortunately, I'm the type who is always firm in my own dueling and will never waver."

"Now you have no face-down cards in your back row, and the only thing on your field worth guarding against is that face-down monster. So, as long as I don't attack it, it'll be fine."

Harald said, raising his arm high.

"I will not activate Polar God Sacred Emperor Odin's effect; I'll enter the Battle Phase directly!"

"Polar God Sacred Emperor - Odin, attack 'Meklord Emperor - Skiel ∞'!"

Odin's divine spear began to glow, golden light gathered at the tip of the divine spear, and ten thousand golden rays shone like the sun, ready to burst out at any moment.

"And at this moment, I want to use the trap Brave entrusted to me!" Harald said. "Trap card 'Polar Star Treasure - Megingjörd'!"

"This card can select a Polar Star or Polar God monster on my field, and at the cost of that monster not being able to attack directly this turn, its ATK becomes twice its original ATK!"

"Using this card's effect, I'll double the ATK of 'Polar God Sacred Emperor - Odin' for this turn!"

【Polar God Sacred Emperor - Odin, ATK 4000 → ATK 8000】

Pompadour commentator: "Eight-eight-eight-eight thousand! An 8000 ATK strike from Odin, will this strike directly bring the duel to a close? Officer You Xuan has no face-down cards in his back row; could it be that his undefeated myth of sweeping three people is coming to an end here!?"
