Chapter 568: Why Is My Career Panel in a 2D Art Style? Chapter 267

~5 min read 826 words

Looking at the young man before him, waiting for his next words, Zimela was momentarily bewildered.

Is this kid really a Bronze Dragon?

Although he did sense a faint resemblance, there were other scents mixed in—this shouldn't happen even with an alien dragon.

After a brief silence, the emerald-colored dragon chuckled: "Just as Seth said—you're young and accomplished, hahaha."

"Cough, since you have business to attend to, I won't disturb you."

Saying this, Zimela prepared to leave, entirely forgetting why he had come here in the first place.

Only after he had flapped his wings and flown a considerable distance did he suddenly remember something and turn back: "By the way, Seth, because the Typhomet Division lost a major contract recently, Ma Zires has been in a foul mood these past few days—be careful when you meet him."

Upon hearing this, Seth immediately frowned, but still thanked him: "Thanks, this information helped me a lot."

"You're too polite," Zimela waved a claw, signaling him not to mind it. "If not for you, Aith and I would've been dead long ago—how could we be here today?"

"Then I'll go attend to my duties—you two make yourselves at home."

With that, the emerald-colored dragon beat his wings and soared into the sky, vanishing into the cloud layer in an instant.

Seth paid no mind to his departure; he stood motionless, his expression grim.

'Tsk, this is troublesome.'

If he had known this would happen, he would've brought this kid to the Dragon's Nest at another time.

But now there was no choice—he had already reported this matter to the corporation, and those my lords would never agree to reschedule the meeting.

'All we can do is take it step by step—but with Lord Randolph here, things shouldn't turn too dangerous.'

Thinking this, Seth took a slow breath to calm himself.

Since he had brought Li Ang to the Dragon's Nest, it was his duty to bring him out unharmed.

As Seth pondered his next move, Li Ang furrowed his brows and began recalling the intelligence in his mind.

Before their departure, Seth had already informed him of all the precautions, including details about Ma Zires.

The other was a Level-7 Red Dragon, one of the few Chromatic Dragons who most despised Metallic Dragons.

He wouldn't necessarily attack on sight, but giving them a hard time was guaranteed.

And that was under normal circumstances—when Ma Zires was in a bad mood, he'd find Metallic Dragons even more intolerable.

As Li Ang recalled this information, Seth spoke in a low voice: "I'll answer the my lords' questions—stay silent."

"Don't worry, nothing will happen."

As he spoke, he pulled out a communication device and sent several messages—clearly preparing in advance.

But Li Ang felt no panic at all; after all, he had no conflict with Ma Zires—could the other really intend to kill him just because he was a Metallic Dragon?

If that were true, the Metallic and Chromatic Dragons of 【Aio Logistics】 would've been fighting long ago.

Besides, whether he even counts as a Metallic Dragon is still questionable.

After a short while, when Seth received the confirmed reply on his communication device, he exhaled deeply: "Let's go—don't keep the my lords waiting."

With that, he flew ahead toward their destination.

Soon after, a nest entirely forged from gold came into Li Ang's view.

Watching the golden nest shimmer in the sunlight, he thought silently:

'Of course—no matter which world, dragons all love shiny things.'

Thinking this, he followed Seth into the magnificent nest.

Along the way, goblins bowed to the ground in reverence upon seeing the two.

Some female goblins even preened and flirted, trying to lure Li Ang and Seth into leaving their noble dragon blood within them.

Seeing this, Li Ang nearly lost control of his emotions.

Though his race field listed "Dragon," his aesthetics hadn't changed—he'd leave goblins to other dragons.

In silence, the two entered a circular hall, one following the other.

Before Li Ang could react, Seth stepped forward and bowed: "Seth Neeper and Li Ang, here to pay homage."

At his voice, many dragon heads emerged from the high platforms, most of their gazes fixed on Li Ang, who stood behind.

Feeling the stares from all directions, Li Ang remained calm on the outside, though inwardly he couldn't help but be stunned.

'Damn, these are all Level-7 dragons.'

He finally understood the depth of the Cosmic Dragon Corporation—just in this circular hall alone, there were thirty to forty Level-7 dragons, not counting the hidden Level-8s or those Level-7s currently absent from the Dragon's Nest.

After a brief silence, a voice came from the high platform.

"Li Ang."

"Step forward—let me see the true quality of this so-called genius."

It was Ma Zires.

Hearing the voice, Seth couldn't help but frown slightly.

This was undoubtedly the worst scenario—but somehow, he had the odd feeling the other wasn't as furious as Zimela had described.

'Strange.'
