Chapter 613: Li Ang: Causality, You!
Not long after Li Ang embarked on his new journey, an immensely terrifying aura suddenly descended upon this star region.
Following it came a voice utterly cold: "Jin Yuedi, come out and face me."
Before the words had fully faded, a response came swiftly: "Ma Zires, that matter the other day had nothing to do with me."
"Hah, that's not up to you to decide."
In the void, Ma Zires looked at the figure enveloped in black mist not far off, and let out a faintly contemptuous laugh.
"."
Seeing the red dragon so dominant, the black mist figure fell silent, silently cursing the Gluttonous Demon for being brainless.
If the Giant God's Heavy Industry hadn't killed it on the spot, he would have definitely used it to light a sky lantern.
With a hint of helplessness, the figure asked: "Just say it—what do you want?"
As the man and the dragon spoke, Lord Luonan, still at the Grand Casino, felt a surge of delight.
He hadn't been wrong—AIO Logistics had indeed sent someone to investigate, and it turned out to be a Level-7 Red Dragon.
Unfortunately, due to his contract, he couldn't reveal any details, but now he only needed to inform those kids.
Thinking this, the Mirror Man immediately entered the mirror space, intending to tell Li Ang and the others.
But when he arrived at the location where the black rift had appeared, he found no anomaly whatsoever—as if that space had never existed.
Seeing this, Lord Luonan's eyes flickered with confusion.
'. Did it not notice me?'
With this thought, he tried calling out a few times.
Yet after several minutes passed, he received no response whatsoever.
".?"
No, don't do this!
Lord Luonan opened his mouth, unsure what to say.
As he puzzled over Li Ang's whereabouts, Lawsen and the other two were unsettled by Ma Zires' arrival.
Fortunately, from the red dragon's behavior, it seemed their actions hadn't been exposed.
But upon remembering the Mirror Man lurking in the shadows, their hearts sank.
Those kids were almost certainly hidden by him; all he needed to do was appear, and they'd be doomed.
After a brief silence, Rad spoke: "Let's go. Staying here is just waiting to die."
He had long-standing grudges with Ma Zires; if the red dragon discovered his whereabouts, there'd be no good outcome.
The other two were the same—things had gone too far to keep pretending anymore.
Damn it!
He never expected those kids to be so cautious—they never once showed their faces, waiting out the entire time until AIO Logistics arrived.
Hearing this, Lavelin and Lawsen exchanged glances, then nodded slightly in agreement.
But just as the three were about to move, Lawsen suddenly noticed something odd.
The Dead Star warship had exploded—somehow, without warning.
Realizing something was wrong, he immediately stopped his companions: "Wait—the kids… are they dead?"
Hearing this, Lavelin and Rad froze: "Are you sure?!"
"Yeah… there's no mistake."
A Dead Star warship only self-destructs if authorized—or if its master is dead.
And in this situation, those kids had no reason to use such a method to draw his attention.
After all, Lawsen wasn't arrogant enough to believe he could kill them before a Level-7 could react.
But now, it seemed they didn't need to flee urgently.
Realizing this, Lawsen instantly began planning how to deal with the Level-7 Red Dragon.
At the same time, he instructed Rad: "Hide yourself. Lavelin and I are enough here."
"Understood."
The old man nodded slightly, then vanished in a blink.
Not long after Rad disappeared, the conversation between the two Level-7s had reached its end.
The red dragon looked at the black mist figure in the distance and said coldly: "I need an explanation. What exactly, you decide."
With that, before Jin Yuedi could react, Ma Zires extended his right claw into the void.
When he retracted it, two tiny figures were tightly clutched in his grasp.
"Now let's talk about your problem."
These two figures were, of course, Lawsen and Lavelin.
Since they hadn't concealed their presence, Ma Zires found them with ease.
Ignoring the crushing pressure all over his body, Lawsen spoke calmly: "Ma Zires, my lord, here is the killer's corpse."
As he spoke, he took a corpse from his storage device and let it drift before the red dragon's eyes.
But before Ma Zires could react, a gem dragon appeared before the corpse.
Seth stared fixedly at the Gluttonous Demon's body, his eyes filled with hatred and fury.
When he saw the myriad wounds on the corpse, the old dragon's heart plummeted into the abyss.
Crystal dragon, red dragon, black dragon…
He could sense the auras of many dragons in these wounds—and they matched precisely the traits of Sophia and Li Ang.
'How is this possible?! I refuse to accept it!'
Seth could not accept this outcome, and immediately shouted at Lawsen: "You!"
He had only just uttered a single syllable when a slightly puzzled sound came from Ma Zi Res's mouth: "Mm?"
At this moment, the red dragon looked at the corpse before him and could not help but knit his brows slightly.
Unlike Ses, whose head was already clouded by rage, he was able to discern more details from the corpse.
Most of the wounds matched the intelligence reports, but he could not shake the feeling that the aura upon it seemed somehow familiar, and based on his earlier observations from within the dragon's nest, the bloodline within that little fellow should have been even more complex than this.
After noticing Ma Zi Res's reaction, Lawson's heart instantly sank.
The wounds on Borugas's corpse had all been fabricated by Rad; by rights, they should not have revealed any flaws.
If one had to say anything, it was that the old man had once crossed blades with the red dragon, and might have had his scent remembered by the other party.
But that was all many years ago, and Rad had also guaranteed that what he used was the most recently fused dragon blood.
Before Lawson could even figure out where the problem lay, he felt a tremendous force, as though it would crush him to pieces, suddenly bearing down from every direction.
"Are you going to speak yourself? Or should I have someone take a look?"
Hearing that cold voice ring out beside his ear, Lawson forcibly steadied his inner emotions and said haltingly, "M-Ma Zi Res, my lord, what do you mean by this?"
