Chapter 113

At the moment of breakthrough, Luo En felt an unprecedented energy fluctuation erupt from his body, like the wings of a butterfly, trembling gently but carrying heart-palpitating power.

The meridians in his body seemed to be re-woven, and the fiber structure of the muscles underwent subtle changes, becoming denser and more elastic.

As the breathing body-forging reached the proficient level, his constitution attribute directly increased to 2.0, just reaching the critical point of promotion to a bloodline knight.

【Basic attribute improvement: Constitution 1.7 → 2.0 (+0.3)】

He felt that his control over his body had reached a brand new realm, and every muscle, every bone, and every blood vessel was within his perception range.

That feeling was like a blurry world becoming clear, and a chaotic universe suddenly becoming orderly.

【Obtained additional trait: Retracing

(When bloodline is activated, it can retrace to a more primitive and pure bloodline form, increasing bloodline level)】

"Retracing..." He saw the name of this trait, and his eyes flickered with excitement.

The description of this trait made his heartbeat speed up involuntarily.

Being able to retrace to a more primitive and pure bloodline when bloodline is activated, this is simply a capability tailor-made for him!

Among the existing practitioners of the "Sun Corona Breathing Method," most people can only awaken relatively low-level bloodlines such as fire lizards or wyverns.

Because human bloodline has undergone too many generations of dilution and mutation, the connection with ancient creatures is almost imperceptible.

And the retracing trait can break through this limitation and directly retrace to the very beginning of the bloodline.

If this trait can exert its effect as described, then Luo En has the hope of awakening a bloodline that is more powerful and purer than ordinary practitioners.

"If combined with the bloodline activation potion I improved..." Luo En's eyes flickered with scorching light:

"Perhaps it can really activate a dragon species bloodline close to the Sun Flame Dragon!"

Sun Flame Dragon, that is a Star Ring pure-blood dragon species of the Age of Gods.

They can freely manipulate the power of fire and light; according to records, the ancient dragons in their clan even obtained the priesthood of the Sun God, perhaps this is also the reason why the "Sun Corona Breathing Method" can be traced back to them.

Luo En does not dream that he can reach the sky in one step and directly awaken such a terrifying Star Ring bloodline.

But through the dual blessing of the bloodline activation potion and the "Retracing" trait, awakening a sub-dragon species branch under it is not impossible to achieve.

"However, all this still needs to be verified by practice."

Luo En calmed down and analyzed rationally.

The feasibility in theory and the actual effect often have a large gap, not to mention that bloodline activation itself is a high-risk process.

Rash attempts may lead to irreversible consequences, and the worst case is distortion, becoming a monster abandoned by reason and humanity.

Thinking of this, he opened the letter sent by the messenger today from Andre.

The blonde boy's handwriting was somewhat hurried, but every word revealed uncontrollable excitement:

"Since your bloodline activation potion has made huge progress, I will immediately prepare the materials needed for the bloodline activation ritual and perform bloodline activation one step ahead of you..."

Luo En was not surprised to see this, but the second half of the letter made him frown:

"Regarding the third stage of the 'Sun Corona Breathing Method,' I need to tell you some things in person. This involves the core secrets of bloodline knights and is not suitable for writing in a letter. I will come to find you tonight with Lava Drops."

"Lava Drops..."

Luo En recited the name in a low voice, recalling the special body-quenching medicine that Andre had mentioned before.

According to the manuscript of the "Sun Corona Breathing Method," the third stage requires the use of "Lava Drops" to quench the body so that the meridians can withstand stronger energy flow.

But what the specific effect was, the manuscript did not explain in detail.

Luo En carefully put away the letter and turned to study the bloodline activation potion formula on the table.

After repeated deliberation and improvement during this period, he had basically determined the final plan:

Use Sun Flame Extract as a guidance medium, combine it with bloodline factors extracted from fire lizard scales, and add several stabilizers and direction-strengthening components.

Theoretically, this formula should be able to precisely activate the bloodline fragments related to the Sun Flame Dragon in the body, while firmly locking the activation direction to avoid the possibility of random distortion.

【Potion refining experience value +1】

Ailan was quietly organizing medicinal materials on the side, and those eyes that were once calm and waveless now flickered with obvious wisdom.

Its appearance change had slowed down—the body outline was almost humanized, but the skin still presented a pale green color, and the hair was composed of dense vines.

"Master." Ailan generated words with leaves: "The heart powder of the volcanic lizard is running low."

Luo En nodded: "Thank you for the reminder, I will arrange to purchase new materials."

He couldn't help but sigh at Ailan's great changes.

In the few days since he bought it back, it had grown from a semi-plant that could hardly communicate to an assistant who could understand complex instructions and actively provide suggestions.

"How do you feel today, Ailan?" Luo En asked while organizing the workbench.

Ailan's leaves swayed gently, generating a much longer answer than before:

"It feels wonderful, Master. My thinking has become clearer, and I can recall more things. Even... started to dream."

"Dream?" Luo En stopped his work in surprise: "What did you dream of?"

"Dreamed of the forest..." Ailan wrote:

"A forest completely different from here, full of sunshine. The trees are tall, the flowers and grass are lush, and there is vitality everywhere. And there are many... existences like me, but they are more human-like than me, can speak, can dance."

Luo En nodded thoughtfully; this further confirmed his guess—those dreams were likely the awakening of bloodline memory, the echoes of the ancient era.

"That sounds like a beautiful place." Luo En said gently: "Perhaps one day, you will remember more."

Ailan's vines trembled gently, seemingly expressing some kind of emotion, but it chose not to continue this topic and turned its attention to organizing medicinal materials.

Luo En also returned to his work.

In the next few hours, he completed several customer potion orders and continued to perfect the details of the bloodline activation potion formula.

When the sun set, Andre arrived as promised, holding an exquisite wooden box in his hand.

"Finally finished today's law enforcement team task; helped them split dozens of experimental woods today, and I feel like my arms are almost numb..."

In addition to his own knight cultivation, he actually spent a lot of time performing various tasks assigned by the law enforcement team to earn magic stone fragments.

And being able to accept such chores within the school was because the connections of the Fa Lu Ke royal family were playing a role; apprentices without background could only take risks to go on field missions.

The blonde boy finished sighing somewhat tiredly, but his eyes flickered with excitement:

"This box contains Lava Drops, and... some information you need to know."

Luo En led him to the reception room on the second floor of the workshop, Ailan consciously prepared hot tea for the two, and then retreated to the side silently.

Andre carefully opened the wooden box and took out a small crystal bottle.

The bottle contained dark red liquid, with golden light spots flickering in it from time to time, like miniature magma flows.

"Lava Drops." Andre said solemnly, his voice very low:

"The body-quenching medicine for the third stage of the 'Sun Corona Breathing Method,' and also the last secret potion I could bring out from the royal family."

Luo En took the crystal bottle and felt a scorching heat coming from the bottle body; even through the thick crystal, the temperature of the liquid inside was still astonishing.

"What exactly is this?" Luo En asked curiously, gently shaking the bottle and observing the flow of the liquid inside.

Andre looked around to ensure there were no outsiders before explaining: "Lava Drops are not simply used for meridian strengthening like scorching essential oil."

His tone became unusually serious: "Its real purpose... is to help bloodline knights get through the dangerous period after awakening."

He took out a piece of parchment from his bosom and unfolded it carefully:

"This is a part of the record I secretly copied from the royal library:

After the awakening ritual, bloodline knights will enter a rapid growth period of about half a year.

During this time, the awakened bloodline power will grow at an astonishing speed, but it will also bring great distortion risks."

Luo En frowned: "Distortion risk?"

"Yes." Andre nodded affirmatively:

"If the awakened ancient bloodline cannot be completely controlled by the body, it will begin to erode the host's flesh and spirit, leading to irreversible distortion. This is why many people who try bloodline awakening eventually become monsters."

He pointed to the crystal bottle: "The role of Lava Drops is to stabilize the awakened bloodline power, allowing it to integrate into the host's body at a controllable speed, avoiding out-of-control distortion."

Luo En finally understood the true meaning of the third stage of the "Sun Corona Breathing Method":

"So the third stage is actually a transition period, helping knights control the awakened bloodline power?"

"Exactly." Andre nodded: "Even for royal family members, the inheritance of the 'Sun Corona Breathing Method' for most people only goes to the third stage."

"What about the final stage that can lead to Sun Corona Knights?" Luo En pursued.

Andre smiled bitterly and shook his head:

"It's a pity that as the thirteenth prince who is not favored, I don't have the inheritance of the final stage in my hand. As far as I know, only the King and the Crown Prince are qualified to consult that part of the content."

Luo En nodded thoughtfully.

This meant that if he wanted to continue to deepen his cultivation of the "Sun Corona Breathing Method," he might need to return to the Kingdom of Fa Lu Ke one day in the future.

"However, although I don't have the detailed content of the final stage, I have indeed heard some rumors."

A flash of cunning crossed Andre's eyes:

"It is said that the complete 'Sun Corona Breathing Method' can not only help bloodline knights control bloodline power but also guide them to move toward a higher realm—becoming 'Sun Corona Knights,' a terrifying existence capable of directly guiding the sun's energy."

He lowered his voice: "Since the founding of the Kingdom of Fa Lu Ke, only two knights have reached that realm, and both were at the most critical moment of the kingdom. Their power is said to be comparable to formal wizards, and even stronger than some research-oriented wizards."

Luo En fell into deep thought; if these rumors were true, then perhaps he really had to find time to go back to see the King when he became a high-level apprentice in the future:

"When are you going to start the ritual?"

"Whenever your potion is ready..." Andre answered: "However, it is best to choose the noon time for the ritual, when the yang energy is most active."

The two discussed the details and preparations for the ritual in detail and agreed to perform it on the morning three days later.

After sending Andre away, Luo En returned to the laboratory and began to devote himself to the final adjustments of the bloodline activation potion.

Now that he knew more secrets of bloodline knights, his requirements for the potion formula were clearer:

Not only to precisely guide the direction of bloodline awakening but also to minimize the risk of distortion after awakening.
