Chapter 133: Hermione's Secret
Before starting the journey again, Harry was very curious about Hermione's actions. He knew there were three classes in the morning: Arithmancy, Divination, and Muggle Studies. Perhaps Hermione intended to use time reversal to finish these three classes one after another, but in this case, Harry didn't know how she arranged the order of these three courses, nor did he know when she planned to go to the subsequent Transfiguration class.
And such an ordinary morning was close to a whole day for Hermione. She must be very hungry. So if he wanted to talk to her, the best time was after she finished eating, during lunch break.
Harry waited in the cabinet next to the auditorium. After the Harry and Luo En from before left, he came out of the TARDIS and waited on Hermione's path.
"Oh, Harry?" Hermione saw him when she came out of the auditorium. "Isn't Luo En with you?"
"In fact, I'm not today's Harry," Harry blinked. "We are doing similar things."
"Oh? Did Professor McGonagall also give you a Time-Turner?" Hermione said in a low voice. "How did you arrange the plan? I couldn't stand it a bit this morning."
"Plan?" Harry thought for a while, and then realized that for a time traveler, a clear head and a perfect plan were very important.
"I mean, after all, I didn't choose so many courses," Harry said. "I think I might not be able to help you much."
"Seems so," Hermione's eyes suddenly showed vigilance. "Then why do you have a Time-Turner? And it seems Professor McGonagall didn't tell me about you either. She only suggested I ask Percy."
"Because my... journey has nothing to do with Professor McGonagall, but was directly authorized by the Ministry of Magic," Harry explained while walking. "It's about a plan to deal with You-Know-Who."
"Sure enough, you are all like this," Hermione said with some disappointment. "Every time I feel I'm working hard to study, you are all doing things more meaningful than studying."
"Relax, Hermione," Harry comforted her. "We didn't do better than you. Whether it's me or Neville, we are all being carried forward by fate."
"Fate?" Hermione blinked confusedly.
"Yeah, if it weren't for a prophecy more than ten years ago, a prophecy saying we would have the power to defeat the Dark Lord," Harry said with some emotion. "You-Know-Who wouldn't have tried so hard to hunt us down, and Neville and I wouldn't be so obsessed with wanting to defeat him because of blood feuds."
"I seem to have no choice either," Hermione pursed her lips. "I am Muggle-born, You-Know-Who will definitely target me. Luo En might have the option of playing dumb, but I must resist."
"But I have nothing," Hermione's tone carried a trace of inferiority. "No one will help me. All I can do is study hard."
"Hermione, I actually never thought about dragging you into this," Harry said slowly. "You are smart and diligent, you can have achievements anywhere."
In Hermione's confused eyes, Harry explained, "You can apply for university and return to Muggle society to live. You-Know-Who won't chase that deep."
"Would you be willing?" Hermione asked back. "After seeing and experiencing the various wonders of magic, would you be willing to just be a Muggle?"
"Oh, of course you would, you are the heir to the Earl of Grantham," Hermione continued sharply. "Unlike me, if I go back now, I might not even be able to be a dentist."
Harry was speechless by what she said. He felt as if this was the first day he knew Hermione.
"You all have great backgrounds, one is the Boy Who Lived, one is the Child of Prophecy, and one is the disciple of Xuanjun," Hermione said unhappily. "Maybe I'm not worthy of being your friend at all."
Before Hermione ran far, Harry rushed up and grabbed her robe.
"Wait," he said anxiously. "I think there might be some misunderstanding."
"Just because you are our friend, Neville and I wanted to keep you from danger," Harry tried hard to defend. "But if you are willing to fight side by side with us, I think I would be very happy too."
"But what can I do? Just say some pretty words," Hermione always oscillated between inferiority and arrogance.
"Your Muggle-born status is your greatest advantage," Harry recalled the conclusion he had thought about early on. "In the Wizarding World, pure-blood doesn't just represent bloodline, but also the gathering of capital. And Muggle-borns are natural proletarians."
"Neville and I, from a class perspective, are not pure enough and are not suitable leaders," Harry said. "You-Know-Who persecutes Muggle-borns, and you can call on Muggle-borns to unite and lead them to resist You-Know-Who together."
In Hermione's confused eyes, Harry explained the struggle route he had considered without getting tired of it.
"Muggle-borns are numerous, but they don't have a unified voice. You can lead everyone to speak for their own interests, let others realize that this force cannot be ignored, so You-Know-Who might not dare to continue persecuting Muggle-borns," Harry said. "But if he insists on going his own way, then we can work together to completely crush his ambition."
"What you said makes sense," Hermione nodded. "Actually, Tang Nade suggested I go to the United States. He said the Magical Congress is trying to open a magical university, called Miskatonic University."
Harry was a bit surprised. It was also the first time he heard about this.
"But I decided not to go, stay in England, and call on all Muggle-borns to fight against oppression," Hermione said seriously. "Thank you very much for your suggestion. I never knew how to keep up with everyone's pace, but now I understand."
Harry felt that staying to fight was not necessarily better than going out to university, but he didn't say it. Perhaps, even if Hermione had already given up on a little love in her heart, she still cherished these friends.
"Actually, at first, I just wanted to ask about the secret of you taking so many classes at once," Harry said pretending to be relaxed. "I didn't expect to talk about so many things."
"Time-Turner," Hermione said softly. "Professor McGonagall told me this was lent to Hogwarts by the Ministry of Magic, and only a very small number of students are qualified to use it."
"It can let me go back to the past. McGonagall suggested I not exceed four hours. Of course, I've never told anyone about this," Hermione took out something like a necklace. "You said before that you weren't today's Harry, which shows your Time-Turner is larger, so that you can go back to yesterday?"
"I went back a year, Hermione," Harry said with a smile. "But I think it's better not to tell you too much about things that haven't happened yet, but one thing is certain, that is, you did it, passed all the exams, so come on."
"Thank you, Harry. I think I need to plan the usage scheme. I can't make myself so embarrassed like today," Hermione said. "Next I'm going to Magical Creatures class, maybe I'll meet today's you..."
"I understand, I should leave too," Harry waved goodbye to her, and then returned to the TARDIS.
"A little girl using a Time-Turner," Doctor Doudou's tone was slightly nostalgic. "Speaking of which, you definitely won't believe it, I used it when I was in school."
"I believe the Ministry of Magic wouldn't hand the TARDIS to someone with no experience," Harry said mischievously.
"Ah, right, now let's go to the next stop. This time, I suggest you hide in the cabinet and don't come out," Doctor Doudou pushed the joystick. "Let's go!"
The TARDIS experienced some vibrations, and then gradually returned to calm. Harry felt this might be the arrival. He looked at the counter above the operating room, which showed it was November 1st.
"Oh, sorry," Doctor Doudou squinted and looked at the counter. "I wanted to go back to last night to see how Sirius tried to sneak into the dormitory, but it seems the brakes are a bit broken."
"It doesn't matter, since we're here, let's take a look," Harry walked to the exit and looked out from the crack in the door. They seemed to have stopped in an empty classroom, and Hermione happened to bring Neville in.
"Harry said you always wanted to talk to me, but why don't you come to me directly?" Hermione said calmly.
"I'm a bit..." Neville looked very conflicted. "Because this is actually very dishonorable, I don't really want to ask, but this is related to a very important matter."
"What are you hesitating about?" Hermione said with a smile. "Aren't we good friends? No matter what the question is, just ask it."
"Alright," Neville took a deep breath. "I want to know how you appear in all elective classes at once."
"I didn't mean to pry into your privacy, just because I saw another me," before Hermione answered, Neville hurriedly defended. "I need this spell, because it saved Zhang Qiu's life."
"You should be very clear about what this is, because you think it's still in time," Hermione said ambiguously. "You are sure this is not a clone or Polyjuice Potion or something, right?"
"I choose to trust my intuition," Neville said firmly. "If you rely on clones or Polyjuice Potion or something, then I'll go find other methods."
"Alright, I believe we are talking about the same thing, but I don't rely on spells to go back to the past," Hermione showed her Time-Turner again. "This is a small prop, and it can only go back four hours."
"Four hours?" Neville was stunned. "That is to say, the spell is my own?"
"What spell?" Hermione asked.
"I hope to borrow this small prop and experience the feeling of reversal," Neville said. "Just experience it."
"Then let's do it this Thursday, we'll go into the Forbidden Forest, so no one will know," Hermione sighed. "If it weren't for you saying you needed to save Zhang Qiu's life, I promised McGonagall not to tell anyone." ===== CHAPTER 134 =====
