Chapter 166: Earl of Glamorgan
On the third day of summer vacation, Harry was tortured by a strange dream again during his nap. The content of the dream was still the long table, the crazy woman, and the white snake, but what was different was that he seemed to see a little beauty on that woman's face, and the snake also seemed a bit more intimate.
Harry felt this was very worthy of vigilance. He had considered giving up his nap. But after thinking about it, he still decided to let this dream continue. The main reason was that he was worried that if this was Fu Di Mo's conspiracy, when he discovered that Harry no longer took naps, he would continue to torture him with dreams at night, which would not be good.
And, if Fu Di Mo always lurked in the dark, then he had gained an information advantage. But as long as he took action, even if this dream looked meaningless, Harry could obtain some information from it. Information of unknown truth is better than knowing nothing; he will always expose something.
In order to avoid being subtly changed in his thinking, Harry decided to record the dream every day, and must write down his impression of the characters in the dream that day: yesterday he still felt it was a crazy woman like a Yaksha, today he suddenly felt it was a middle-aged woman with charm; looking at the diary, he knew there was a problem.
Gradually adapting to the nightmare every noon, Harry's summer vacation could be spent in a bland way again. He kept in touch with Sirius through letters and learned that he had soon gathered a group of Death Eaters who were not doing well, so Harry asked Butler Carson to use the relationship of the Crawley Law Firm to collect some information about criminals for him, and his vigilante work was able to be carried out.
At first, Sirius was still resistant to killing Muggles, but as Harry expected, when he learned about the deeds of those criminals, he felt that these people deserved to die. Moreover, he rarely took action himself; most of the time he let the Death Eaters under his command abuse and kill Muggle scumbags for fun.
Under Sirius's guidance and restraint, these people had a way to vent, and didn't go out to attack innocent people. From the correspondence, Harry learned that Sirius began to gradually establish prestige among those people. Many people called him "Dark Night Godfather" because he said that famous Batman quote "I am the night," which made Harry, this orthodox godson, look a bit awkward.
Time flew to the end of July. Harry's birthday party and the dance party Eve had been looking forward to for a long time were about to be held. Downton also became busy from top to bottom. The maids renovated every guest room that hadn't been used for a long time, the kitchen bought a large amount of ingredients, and Harry once saw them moving a large ladder to wipe the chandelier in the dance hall.
A few days before the birthday, the Wei Silai family arrived at the manor early. They, who attached great importance to family bonds, only asked for three guest rooms—this was still insisted by Percy, who had now graduated and entered the Ministry of Magic to work, so he needed to live alone, unlike Luo En who could sleep with Harry.
As for the twins, they had always slept together; perhaps they would have to wait until they each married a wife before they would separate.
Mrs. Wei Silai's birthday gift to Harry was a dress robe, its style was somewhat similar to a tuxedo, and Harry looked very handsome wearing it; he liked it very much; the twins sent him a box of "Wei Silai Fireworks," which was a self-developed magic firework that could emit a series of flames with explosive impact; Harry felt this was simply a box of rockets; and Luo En sent him a set of magic broom maintenance tools; he understood Harry.
On the evening before the birthday, Sirius also came to Downton. Having been a Death Eater leader for nearly a month, he now became more majestic and gloomy, looking a bit scary. However, knowing that he was one of his own, Harry felt it was very cool and had a sense of security. Sirius sent him a pair of double-sided mirrors, which also made him feel very good.
Early on the morning of the birthday, Luo En's father, Arthur Wei Silai, drove his flying car to pick up Na Wei and Hanna. Sirius and Harry ate breakfast at a table. Harry found that his godfather was also proficient in dining etiquette; his posture of cutting meat could be called elegant.
Just when they were enjoying morning tea slowly, Butler Carson walked over and said softly: "Young Master Harry, I received a call saying that the Earl of Glamorgan is coming to celebrate your birthday; he may arrive soon."
"Earl of Glamorgan?" Harry was stunned for a moment; this title had not existed for hundreds of years.
"That's right, it's a new title conferred by the Queen, a Yankee." The butler said this with a hint of faint schadenfreude; after all, everyone knew that the Earl of Glamorgan was not so easy to be.
"Alright then." Harry shrugged; occasionally Muggle nobles would come to visit before. "Do I need to welcome him?"
The fireplace suddenly made a loud bang, and in the faint smoke, a voice that Harry found very familiar sounded: "No need, because the Earl of Glamorgan has come in person!"
When the smoke dissipated, Harry discovered that this guest had a strong body and slightly curly blonde hair; it was Tang Nade Fontroy, who had served as the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor in the second year.
"My dad connected the fireplace here to the Floo Network." Luo En whispered.
Harry had heard that the Floo Network was one of the transportation methods in the magic world, and people visited each other through fireplaces.
"Professor Fontroy." Harry greeted subconsciously. "Just now the butler told me that you became the Earl of Glamorgan?"
When he said this, he suddenly discovered that Hermione had come with him. She had changed her hairstyle and was wearing a dark blue dress, looking more beautiful than at any time in school.
Noticing Harry's gaze, Hermione also waved at him with a smile.
"I need to arrange an identity in the Muggle World; this is nothing." Tang Nade said with a smile. "Most importantly, I want to give you a surprise."
"You see, I also brought Hermione." He patted Hermione on the shoulder.
"That is truly a surprise." Harry smiled and expressed welcome. Whether it was Hermione who also smiled and responded, or Eve and Luo En who were forcing a smile on the side, they selectively ignored the fact that "Harry didn't invite Hermione."
"Alright, let the children chat for a while; I have something to tell you, Harry." After a few pleasantries, Tang Nade patted Harry on the shoulder. "If you are interested, let's go together, Sirius."
"Can, I just happen to listen too." Sirius stood up with a smile and walked to the reception room with them.
"Anyway, Harry, I always feel that the year I taught at Hogwarts in the second year was one of the happiest times of my life." Tang Nade introduced his identity to Sirius without leaving a trace, and then talked about another thing he wanted to do. "Bringing Hermione here this time is to congratulate you on your birthday, and of course, more importantly, there is something I need to tell you. Do you know about the Triwizard Tournament?"
Harry tried not to think about Hermione, and instead said softly: "I know, but this involves some secrets of the Ministry of Magic; I'm afraid I can't tell you much."
"It's okay, it seems you know, then I'll say it directly." Tang Nade nodded. "The International Magical Cooperation Department of the French Ministry of Magic, they ordered ten dragons from me, requiring them to be delivered to Beauxbatons before November."
"This means that one of the items of the Triwizard Tournament is to fight a fire dragon?" Sirius frowned.
"That's right, and I guess the champion of Hogwarts must be Harry, so," Tang Nade revealed an insidious bad smile, "I did a little trick."
Harry was not very happy about cheating in the competition, but considering that he must show enough ability in this Triwizard Tournament, and he didn't know how to deal with dragons, he didn't say anything, intending to listen to what Tang Nade wanted to say for now.
"I let the dragon farm pick the ten weakest dragons that were always bullied." Tang Nade continued. "Then, I found a master of alchemy in China to forge a set of swords and knives infused with dragon blood; the dragon blood used came from the dragon that often bullied them. In this way, as long as you activate the alchemy patterns on the sword, you can emit an aura that makes them fear, and dragon slaying will be a piece of cake."
"Then thank you very much." Harry didn't intend to live up to Tang Nade's kindness to his face, but when it came to the competition, he felt he needed to consider what to do specifically.
"I named it, Seven Deadly Sins." Tang Nade took out a huge box excitedly; he should have hidden it in his pocket using the Reductor Curse or Undetectable Extension Charm, but Harry didn't go into these details. At this moment, his gaze was completely attracted by the seven swords in the box.
"The eight-sided Han sword named Pride, the Tang sword named Jealousy, the Zanma sword named Wrath, the katana named Sloth, the claymore named Greed, the Yatagan named Gluttony, and the last one is the wakizashi named Lust." Tang Nade introduced each sword and knife to Harry in an excited tone. In Harry's eyes, these were indeed high-quality sharp cold weapons, but he didn't quite understand why this former professor was so excited.
"And the spell to activate them is:" He said in a cold voice, "The blood of the king, must end with the sword!"
As the words fell, all seven swords and knives started to tremble slightly. Harry could see their luster becoming more dazzling, and presumably their power would also be enhanced. However, he still felt that he didn't necessarily have to use them; perhaps they could just be used as collectibles.
"Very good weapons." Sirius picked up Wrath and examined it. "Putting aside the tricks done for dragon slaying, these are also valuable alchemy weapons, and they are not inferior to the goblin's sword."
"So, you can also keep them after the dragon slaying is over. Luo En and Na Wei can both use them. This can be considered a gift I give to your small group together." Tang Nade said with a smile.
This sentence made Harry decide to keep it. Just as Tang Nade said, even if not used for the competition, they could still be given to Luo En or Na Wei to use. ===== CHAPTER 167 =====
