Chapter 416: United Against Outsiders
"What do you think is going on with him?" After finally fooling Alan away, Ron immediately asked Harry with worry.
"What do you expect is going on with him?" Harry was in no mood to think about those twists and turns, so he said bluntly, "No matter who sent him or what his purpose is, the situation is clear. You must defeat him—since your goal is to be the strongest, you must be single-minded and not always look ahead and behind."
"It's nothing," Ron said guiltily. "I just feel, could he be one of our own..."
"Even if he's one of our own, we still fight. It's just sparring anyway," Harry said indifferently.
Although Harry had already given a very clear conclusion, Ron was still fidgety and dragged it out for nearly a week before finally making up his mind, saying he was ready. During this week, Harry was responsible for finding excuses to fend off Alan, who came to challenge him, which made him somewhat dissatisfied. After breakfast on Saturday, these two good friends who used to talk about everything finally walked toward the Room of Requirement, each carrying melancholy and burdened with worries.
When they were on the seventh floor, they were stopped by four people wearing green robes. Harry only felt more irritable when he saw Draco's face.
"Oh, hello, Draco, Pansy," despite his irritation, he greeted them politely on the surface. "Oh, Cui Ge, and... Luna?"
"Luna?" Ron looked at the smiling girl at the end of the line in surprise. "But why are you wearing Slytherin school robes?"
"Of course, to express support," she said lightly. "By the way, to draw a line with OOO."
"What do you mean?" Harry suddenly had a strange feeling: he actually felt that Slytherin's green was a bit intimate.
"This American came here and challenged Draco, defeating him with some despicable little tricks," Luna continued. "Regardless, Hogwarts cannot allow an exchange student to run wild, and Cui Ge is the one who understands him best and is most likely to defeat him."
"So, I'll deal with him," Cui Ge said eagerly. "Disrupt his plan and thwart his schemes."
Ron's face changed from shock to feigned calmness, but the emotion he wanted to hide with calmness wasn't anger or doubt... but a relieved joy.
"Yes, Mr. Wei Wei Silai, I hope you can understand that this is a despicable trap," Pansy gave him a step down with high emotional intelligence. "From the perspective of Hogwarts' overall situation, I hope you can allow Cui Ge to fight Alan on your behalf today."
"Alright, I accept," Ron shrugged.
"Let's go together," Luna suggested.
"Old Tang told me everything," Cui Ge leaned over to them and whispered, "This is the Magical Congress wanting to compete for the right to speak, we must never let him succeed."
Ron echoed with a happy face, while Harry said nothing. He knew that Donald might even have lied to Cui Ge.
When they walked to the eighth floor, Alan, who had been leaning against the railing, stood up straight. He looked toward them with a serious expression, then suddenly smiled lightly, and then raised his eyebrows.
"Are you all here to watch the fun?" he said. "Of course, I don't mind."
"I'll deal with you, American," Cui Ge walked to the front of the crowd. "I will crack your little tricks, and then you'll know that Hogwarts won't allow you to be so arrogant."
"Whatever, open the door first," Alan pointed a hand at the wall.
After the Room of Requirement opened, Alan walked in first, followed by the few from Hogwarts who filed in. They all said nothing, and Cui Ge looked especially serious.
Harry stood quietly behind the crowd. Draco seemed to notice this and deliberately slowed down, but didn't take the initiative to speak. Harry didn't talk to him, and Ron was also silent. They took the initiative to walk to the side, leaving the field to the two people about to start the duel.
"Have you ever thought that your belt comes from Mr. Donald?" Alan said while fastening his belt. "I accept challenges for any reason, but only you, Cui Ge, your statement about excluding Americans is a bit humorous."
"What do you want to say?" Cui Ge also fastened an identical belt. "Even if it's Uncle, he has always disdained the Magical Congress."
"No wonder you have such inexplicable hostility," Alan shrugged and took out a bottle and started shaking it. "You'll know later."
Harry's heart jumped. He guessed right; Donald and the Magical Congress were cooperating.
"And, isn't the same source of enemy and self the true nature of Kamen Riders?" Cui Ge took his energy bottle from Luna's hand. "Even if it's the same power, it will present a different appearance because of a different heart—since I fight for protection, I will never lose! Henshin!"
Pure English chanting. Harry clearly heard the name of the energy bottle Cui Ge used for Henshin, Luna and Trigger, which happened to be his and Luna's surnames. But he was a bit dazed at the moment, because what Cui Ge just said showed that he had other understandings of the Knight system. Did this mean he had other sources of information? Harry was very concerned about this point at the moment, because he was always thinking about Zhang Qiu.
"Pay attention, this is his despicable little trick," Draco's voice pulled Harry out of his deep thoughts. He looked up abruptly and found that Cui Ge was constantly firing yellow light bullets with a submachine gun, making Alan unable to lift his head.
"Rhinoceroses! Medal! Buildup, SaGohZo!"
After a flash of light, the original red-yellow OOO turned gray, and several thick armors appeared on his body. The light bullets didn't seem to work on him anymore.
"It's a heavy armor warrior, use this!" Luna's crisp voice sounded abruptly, and then Harry noticed she threw a small thing to Cui Ge.
Cui Ge also quickly switched forms. The left half of his body turned gray, and the submachine gun in his hand turned into a metal staff. He danced a staff flower at will, and then rushed up to launch a close-quarters suppression.
"Each of them has several different Henshin methods?" Harry touched his chin and looked at Draco. "And can they correspond to different fighting styles?"
"Yes, I could have easily suppressed OOO until he turned into that yellow form," Draco said with a solemn face. "It's like an agile assassin, and I lost to such a little trick."
"Saber is probably not convenient to deal with assassins either," Ron's face looked even worse. "But Cui Ge seems to be at ease. Does he also have a speed-type Knight?"
"He calls this different forms. By the way, you might not know yet, he calls himself Double."
While speaking, Cui Ge changed forms again. This time he changed Luna to Heat, and the originally rigid-in-soft staff technique was changed to extreme rigidity. The end of the staff ignited with flames, and OOO was even more exhausted to parry.
"Orca! Medal! Buildup, ShaUTa!"
OOO changed back to blue, then grabbed the staff with both hands, used a little force, and suddenly created a stream of water out of thin air, extinguishing the flames on the staff and bursting out a cloud of white mist.
"You changed wrong, idiot," Cui Ge laughed playfully, and his other hand began to shake the belt handle frantically. "Metal! MaximumDrive!"
He just kept the posture of the iron rod being grabbed, his body leaned forward slightly, and although his hands and feet didn't move, he unexpectedly burst out an unscientific thrust, directly taking both of them floating forward, and getting faster and faster.
"Obstacles everywhere!" Luna waved her wand at the right time, and a dirt wall suddenly rose behind OOO. With the Knight's body strength, he naturally smashed the simple Transfiguration spell easily. Then, she kept waving her wand, so OOO was pushed and smashed through several walls, and finally stopped after exhausting Double's thrust, but the outcome seemed to be decided at this time.
"Why... why." After releasing Henshin, Alan knelt on the ground half-dazed, panting, seeming unable to accept this result.
"Don't forget, I know Chinese," Cui Ge also released Henshin. "You can deal with Heat by using Orca, but you didn't think about how to hit my Metal? I'm playing with open cards."
"Did you see any clue?" Ron leaned over and asked.
"Their compatibility with the energy bottles isn't very good, right?" Harry shook his head. "Indeed, this can make tactics more flexible, but the basic strength and speed are clearly not as good as Saber."
"But I can't handle his agile form well," Ron said with some anxiety. "Even if I knew in advance, I wouldn't know how to handle it."
"Maybe we can use that train of thought," Harry touched his chin. "Luna demonstrated a very important point to us, that is, the wizard's assistance is of great help to the Knight."
"What spell are you going to use to restrict agile enemies?" Pansy leaned over and asked.
"We'll discuss this topic later. For now, I just have a slight idea," Harry said calmly. He didn't want to be heard by Alan in advance.
"Sparring is about winning and losing. I'll come to exchange again next time," Alan stood up, patted his robe lightly, and his expression was very calm.
"Of course, I welcome your challenge on behalf of Hogwarts," Cui Ge tilted his mouth and smiled.
After the outsiders left, Harry's eyes looked unnaturally at Cui Ge's belt. After hesitating for a moment, he decided to ask.
"Why is your belt chanting in English? Does this mean it... is somewhat special?"
"Of course, this was customized by Old Tang from a Chinese master," Cui Ge's tone was undisguisedly proud. "Master Master Xuanjun values me very much and even gave me, uh, gave me another good thing. I'll show you next time."
"That is to say, have you met Master Master Xuanjun?" Harry suddenly felt that he might accidentally hear news about Zhang Qiu from Cui Ge.
"Not really, Old Tang brought it to me," he shrugged. "I didn't leave the island during the holiday."
"Then what you just said, same source of enemy and self..."
"Old Tang said it, I think it makes sense, to be honest," Cui Ge answered generously. "Just like wizards can use positive magic, they can also use Dark Magic—"
"Say less philosophical words," Luna interrupted him. "I think we can discuss the wizard assistant thing." ===== CHAPTER 417 =====
