Chapter 45: Sorting Password

Harry spent two very interesting weeks at The Burrow. Everything in the wizard family made him feel very novel. However, by comparison, he seemed to yearn more for life at Hogwarts.

On the night before school started, Mrs. Wei Wei Silai made a sumptuous dinner, almost comparable to the banquet at Downton. Everyone in the Great Hall heard these dialogues. Countless eyes gathered on Ivy. She was a bit shy, more nervous and excited. In short, her face was red beyond words.

"You actually talked to the old Sorting Hat like this, really brave." The hat said. "Then, Gryffindor!"

Harry and Luo En took the lead in applauding. When the people of Gryffindor heard the word "brave," they also triggered the keyword directly, standing up one by one and applauding.

"Enough." The hat also shouted. "I also have a temper, Slytherin!"

The people of Slytherin applauded out of courtesy, while Cui Ge was full of reluctance. Tang Tang Nade seemed to want to say something, but Deng Buliduo kept staring at him, making him feel a bit uncomfortable to speak. Finally, Cui Ge walked to the side of the Slytherin table, looking back three times at every step, and sat down as if he was sulking.

"American." Malfoy said coldly. "Do you think Ravenclaw is better than Slytherin?"

"Not really," Cui Ge looked at Lu Na in the crowd and said gently: "But I like the girl who will probably go to Ravenclaw."

Crabbe wanted to mock a few words, but Malfoy gave him a look. This is the nephew of the new professor, there is no need to offend him.

"You will find out." Malfoy's tone softened a lot. "Slytherin is much better than Ravenclaw, perhaps there will be a girl who is more worthy of you."

Cui Ge was obviously a bit dismissive, but he didn't refute, just hummed twice.

After Cui Ge's unreasonable request was suppressed, some new students probably understood. If you say you want to go to Gryffindor in public, then the Sorting Hat will really sort you into Gryffindor. But this sorting password only applies to the Lion House, which also side-reflected that daring to be in the limelight is one of the unique characteristics of Gryffindor. And some new students didn't understand this password, or understood it but didn't dare to read it out, then they were indeed not suitable for Gryffindor.
