Chapter 96: Chaotic Confrontation
The three looked at each other. Harry gently put down the rooster that had been scared silly, took out his Invisibility Cloak, and they quietly leaned forward, wanting to see the scene in the Chamber of Secrets clearly.
Walking past a corner, they saw a very large stone room with dim light. Harry noticed a huge statue standing at the end of the stone room, and there was a dark figure under the statue. Harry couldn't help but walk forward a few steps.
Hermione was shrinking in Tang Nade's arms and crying, while Tang Nade patted her back gently, saying comforting words in a low voice.
Luo En wanted to go up, but Harry stopped him. Although all this happened under the Invisibility Cloak, his armor still made a crisp clanking sound.
"Finally showing up? The planner of all this conspiracy?" Tang Nade stood up, his outer robe draped over Hermione, holding his wand in his hand, looking at the dim stone room vigilantly.
Just when Harry hesitated whether to explain to him, another voice sounded.
"You'd better not blame others here." Zhang Qiu took off her Disillusionment Charm. Harry noticed that she also carried a sword.
"A person who didn't appear in the divination at all, you almost completely disrupted Harry's destiny." Zhang Qiu pointed at Tang Nade with her sword, "Why did you do all this? Is it related to the CIA?"
"It's you, I said your character design collapsed in an unlikeable way." Tang Nade also pointed his wand at Zhang Qiu, "I highly suspect that you are really Zhang Qiu?"
"Why is Jin Ni innocent? Why did Justin's attack happen at night? Why was Colin's victim situation different from everyone else?" Tang Nade threw out a series of questions. Harry vaguely felt that he might have known something originally.
"I still want to ask you? Why was there no Cornish Pixie in the first class, why was the dueling club not blown away by Snape, why didn't you run away at the last moment but went down to the Chamber of Secrets yourself, why was the victim in the Chamber of Secrets Hermione?" Zhang Qiu asked back, "What did you do to the story-telling king of lies?"
"I gave him the punishment he deserved." Tang Nade said coldly, "It's me who highly suspects... where did you get these strange views?"
"You need to explain, I make this request in the name of Master Xuanjun!" Zhang Qiu raised her notebook recording the divination results.
"I want to teach whatever I want in my class, Snape and I have a good relationship, there is no need to duel to the point of blowing anyone away." Tang Nade said lightly, "I went down to the Chamber of Secrets because it was my duty, because Hermione was attacked. It's you, what are you doing here?"
"Divination told me that Harry would slay the basilisk here today." Zhang Qiu said angrily, "I was waiting for him! But you ran here to stir up trouble!"
"You need to explain how you got in." Tang Nade stared at Zhang Qiu, "I demand you, a Ravenclaw student, to explain as a professor, how did you enter the Slytherin Chamber of Secrets!"
"I was waiting here early in the morning, ready to follow him when Harry entered the Chamber of Secrets." Zhang Qiu said, "But who knew that just before Harry, I saw you!"
"You don't need to argue anymore." Hermione said weakly, "The person who attacked me was Na Wei, or rather, the person impersonating Na Wei. Someone stole the materials for Polyjuice Potion from Snape's medicine cabinet, who was that?"
Harry felt a bit confused, because from his perspective, it seemed that both Zhang Qiu and Tang Nade were good people, but they investigated each other because they suspected the other, and eventually the misunderstanding became deeper and deeper.
"Don't argue anymore, you two." Harry took off the Invisibility Cloak. Now, the situation in the Chamber of Secrets became even more chaotic.
As soon as Hermione saw Na Wei, she couldn't help but scream. After a while, she calmed down and asked softly: "You are the real Na Wei, right?"
"I can guarantee he is, you see, he is holding the Sword of Gryffindor." Harry said softly.
"Na Wei has been with us all day today." Luo En lifted his visor, "Professor Fontroy, do you know something?"
"I also only found out today that the Chamber of Secrets is here." Introducing Harry and the three as a third party, Tang Nade's attitude eased a lot, he explained, "I noticed someone holding Hermione and running fast, so I cast a Disillusionment Charm to follow him, and then followed him all the way here. The strange thing is, when I finally managed to open the door to this room, he was gone."
"The door to this room?" Harry was a bit puzzled.
"That's right, originally this place was sealed, and you must speak Parseltongue to open the door." Tang Nade said, "Fortunately, I have learned some."
"Impossible, I didn't see anyone who looked like Na Wei holding Hermione down to the Chamber of Secrets, I only saw you." Zhang Qiu questioned, "You almost familiarly opened the Chamber of Secrets and slid down!"
"So what? Do I have to explain why you saw it wrong?" Tang Nade retorted.
"Is there a possibility that you were all restricted by divination?" Harry smoothed things over, "When things are different from the divination results, it can only be said that changes have occurred. This change can be good or bad, right?"
"But this means you knew all the attacks from the divination." Na Wei said, "Why not stop it?"
"I didn't catch up..."
"Come on, Professor." Harry interrupted him, "You didn't discover a suspicious person at all, but knew from the divination that someone would attack Hermione today, so you came to save her. You only care about the students you like and ignore others. This is typical American thinking."
"That's not it, according to the real divination, the last victim should be Jin Ni or Eve." Zhang Qiu said.
"Then since you know the real divination, why don't you stop the previous attacks?" Tang Nade snorted.
"Because that's not my task." Zhang Qiu shrugged, "And they won't really die, we know it well."
"Don't argue, you two, let's not stick to divination anymore." Harry said helplessly, "That just represents one possible direction of development, it doesn't mean it should develop like this."
"Let's look at reality. Reality is that the victims of the Chamber of Secrets have now recovered, and we not only found this real Chamber of Secrets in the process of investigating the Chamber of Secrets, but also wiped out the terrible spiders in the Forbidden Forest." Harry persuaded, "And Deng Buliduo also shattered the Death Eaters' conspiracy and returned safely."
Harry suddenly noticed a doubt. In fact, during the summer vacation, the conspiracy they analyzed at the beginning was that the Death Eaters wanted to find a way to drag Deng Buliduo at Hogwarts, so that he would have no time to take care of Voldemort's activities outside.
But since when did the Chamber of Secrets become a conspiracy to drive Deng Buliduo out of Hogwarts? Even when Luxius came to announce the Board of Governors' decision, he was still smug, as if that was his original purpose.
At this moment, a sentence seen last year flashed into Harry's mind. This was a note Deng Buliduo wrote casually on the annotations of The Tales of Beedle the Bard.
"This exchange marks the beginning of Mr. Ma Erfu's long-term commitment to pulling me from the position of Headmaster of Hogwarts, and also marks the beginning of my pulling him from the position of Voldemort's most capable Death Eater."
Perhaps, the Death Eaters' plan had to revolve around the diary from the beginning, but when the news of the opening of the Chamber of Secrets reached Luxius's ears, he couldn't help but want to use this excellent opportunity to remove Deng Buliduo's Headmaster position.
And the diary, probably as Tang Nade analyzed, is not a Dark Magic item. Because the person who really opened the Chamber of Secrets was definitely not the diary, this was not in the Death Eaters' plan. Death Eaters wouldn't want Deng Buliduo to leave Hogwarts.
The opening of the Chamber of Secrets gave Luxius an opportunity. He was eager to drive Deng Buliduo out of the school, but Deng Buliduo used this opportunity to hinder Voldemort's actions. Voldemort must be very angry with Luxius, which perfectly fits Deng Buliduo's strategy.
From the opening of the Chamber of Secrets to the announcement of its closure, who is the biggest beneficiary? Needless to say, it is Deng Buliduo.
Harry suddenly realized that Tang Nade, as a person trusted by Deng Buliduo, perhaps he really was the opener of the Chamber of Secrets, and this last attack was precisely to show him the real Chamber of Secrets and solve the problem here.
"Just treat me as a selfish American." Tang Nade said unhappily, "The problem is that someone attacked my Hermione, no matter what, I have to catch him."
Then we must first solve the basilisk, Harry guessed his next sentence.
"However, since we are here, let's deal with this evil basilisk first." Tang Nade said loudly.
"Yes, and then the next step is to find out the person impersonating Na Wei and catch the real attacker." Harry already believed seven points that Tang Nade was the planner of all these attacks, but everything he did was beneficial to himself and Deng Buliduo, and it was very likely Deng Buliduo's instruction, so he didn't choose to expose it.
"Don't worry, children, we have plenty of time." Tang Nade said confidently, "Next year, the year after, I will always catch him."
"I've already saved face for you, Tang Nade!" Zhang Qiu shouted, "Next year, the year after, don't think about continuing to stay here and make trouble!"
"A little girl's angry words." Tang Nade scoffed at this.
"But the problem is." Luo En, who had been listening silently to all this, spoke up. He pointed to a large shadow in the corner of the stone room, "The basilisk seems to be dead." ===== CHAPTER 97 =====
