Chapter 1748
A sweet, metallic taste surged violently out of Kesslin's mouth!
In that moment, Kesslin's mind went utterly blank!
This Eastern man's strength had reached such an astonishing level!
Kesslin had intended to succeed with this surprise strike, but she never expected the opponent's speed to be faster than hers!
Kesslin tried to turn and flee, but as soon as she took one step, a short knife had already sliced across her neck, cutting through her skin!
"Heh, I thought you'd put up a bit of a fight, but you're this weak? Really disappointing."
Ximen Wudi sneered and shook his head, then slammed a heavy punch straight into Kesslin's abdomen!
Her body curled again like a shrimp!
Yet Kesslin refused to die so easily—she twisted sharply and kicked out her right leg, aiming for Ximen Wudi's lower abdomen!
He raised one arm to block, and Kesslin's elastic, long leg smashed directly into his forearm!
Thwack!
Ximen Wudi's elbow bent, then thrust forward sharply!
Kesslin was flung backward, collapsing onto the floor!
Though her body was covered in thick carapace, this blow shattered much of its outer layer!
Ximen Wudi made no effort to hold back—he stepped on Kesslin's waist and drove his knee into her hip bone!
Crack!
A clear sound of bone breaking rang out!
Kesslin screamed in agony—her hip bone nearly shattered!
Her arms and legs were severely injured; she could no longer struggle!
Ximen Wudi gripped his long blade in one hand, slowly straightened his body, and looked down at Kesslin: "I should've killed you long ago. Your existence is a threat to me, isn't it?"
He paused, then added: "Especially tonight—I hate being threatened."
"Regardless of who you are, I hope you kill me right now," Kesslin said.
She knew Ximen Wudi would never spare her life!
"Killing you is certainly possible—but I haven't had enough fun with that pretty face of yours," Ximen Wudi grinned. "I can't bear to see someone so beautiful cut down right before me."
Kesslin understood the implication in his words and clenched her teeth in fury!
"Who are you?!" Kesslin demanded!
"My surname is Su," Ximen Wudi said. "You've picked the wrong man this time, Kesslin."
1607's shocked expression
He pulled the short knife out of Kesslin's chest.
Blood streamed down the blade, staining her chiffon dress red.
This beautiful woman was now in utter disarray, yet her gaze remained defiant.
"Su…"
The name echoed in her ears, and Kesslin's expression turned to shock!
Could it be… him?
"I advise you not to entertain any foolish thoughts," Ximen Wudi glanced at Kesslin coolly. "I dislike trouble. My patience is limited—and you're no exception."
He walked over to the four Golden Knights, kicked them a few times, and knocked them unconscious.
Watching this, Kesslin hated Ximen Wudi with every fiber of her being.
These were her most prized subordinates—loyal, devoted, always at her side—and now they lay on the floor like dead dogs, unable to even open their eyes!
Ximen Wudi saw Kesslin glaring at him with rage and smiled: "Are you furious right now? Do you want to kill me?"
"I will kill you," Kesslin's eyes flashed with cold, vicious intent.
"Heh, I can wait. Better recover your strength quickly," Ximen Wudi waved coldly, then turned and walked to Kesi Dilin's side, crouching to check his wounds.
His injuries were severe, but not life-threatening—he'd recover fully with two months of rest, nothing too serious.
Looking at Kesi Dilin's face, Ximen Wudi sighed softly, then took out the medicine prepared by Danier Xia Pu and applied it to the wounds on Kesi Dilin's ribs.
Afterward, he patted his shoulder, stood up, and looked at Kesslin: "You came here looking for Zeus, didn't you?"
"I won't tell you anything," Kesslin said.
She remained lying face-down on the floor, despite the agony coursing through her body.
"Several of your bones and tendons are broken. If you don't treat them immediately, you won't recover within half a year," Ximen Wudi sneered. "Also, I must remind you—you should be thinking about how to survive, not how to seek revenge."
"I'm not afraid of death," Kesslin said.
"But I don't want you to die," Ximen Wudi shook his head. "The Hesewei family owes me too much."
With that, he turned toward the door.
"Are you leaving?" Kesslin called out again.
Her voice carried a hint of sorrow.
"What else should I do?" Ximen Wudi retorted. "Should I stay and sleep with you?"
"Bastard, shut up—or I'd rather kill myself," Kesslin snarled.
"Heh, do you think I'm joking?" Ximen Wudi sneered coldly. "The more you threaten me now, the less I care."
Then he pulled open the door and walked out.
Kesslin, gritting her teeth against the pain, struggled to sit up and stared at Ximen Wudi's back: "If… you dare touch my body, I'll kill you."
"I have no interest in you. I've seen plenty of girls like you," Ximen Wudi said without turning around.
This guy's got experience—he's seen a lot of top-tier girls.
Kesslin watched Ximen Wudi's back: "Who are you really?"
1608 doesn't offend anyone.
"Who I am is not important to you, so don't trouble yourself over it." Ximen Wudi waved his hand. "I won't kill you, rest easy. However, I cannot guarantee what happens next. You need to understand — in this world, unless you never offend anyone, then… your enemies will always be your own kind."
That line was thick with warning and implication!
"How could there possibly be a freak like you in this world!" Kesi Dilin shouted at the top of her lungs, then coughed twice and spat out a mouthful of blood.
"You'd best not talk nonsense, lest you anger me. However, before I leave, I still have one matter to entrust to you," Ximen Wudi said.
That man must have done it on purpose — deliberately saying something very hard to understand.
"Please go ahead," Kesi Dilin said, taking a deep breath and struggling to suppress the pain in her heart.
She had already prepared herself to face the nightmare that was coming.
"I recall that Lord Apollo once said he greatly admired Lolita, didn't he?" Ximen Wudi narrowed his eyes, looking at Kesi Dilin. "Then, in a certain sense, Lolita and I could be considered half-friends, couldn't we?"
The subtext of that line was already extremely obvious!
Kesi Dilin seemed to have figured some things out as well: "What are you trying to do? Are you planning to help that Lolita?"
"That is a private matter between me and her, none of your concern." Ximen Wudi shook his head. "That princess you care about will, in three days, board Atlantis's flagship to attend the Dark World Summit. When the time comes, you may leave together with her."
"No, I cannot leave, because I still have more important matters to attend to!" Kesi Dilin roared.
Ximen Wudi glanced at her: "I don't believe you."
Then, Ximen Wudi handed the envelope the military advisor had given him to Kesi Dilin: "If the information inside interests me, then I might truly be able to save your life."
A thick gleam of anticipation welled up in Kesi Dilin's eyes!
She saw hope!
Kesi Dilin knew she had to leave this place as soon as possible!
"Alright." Kesi Dilin agreed without the slightest hesitation!
"I think you'd better finish your meal before leaving, that would be more appropriate." Ximen Wudi looked at the unconscious Kesi Dilin on the bed and said: "I don't believe a fellow who has lost too much blood and taken a bullet wound can hold out for three days and three nights. So, if you don't do as I say, then a lot of people on this ship might die."
Kesi Dilin furrowed her brow deeply, then picked up the utensils and began eating breakfast.
In truth, given her current physical condition, she couldn't possibly endure a long journey, let alone pilot an aircraft.
"Your injuries are not light." Ximen Wudi looked at Kesi Dilin and suddenly asked: "Were you trying to trick me just now?"
"Yes." Kesi Dilin paused: "I wanted to stall for time, waiting for reinforcements to arrive."
She was honest about it, telling the whole truth straight out.
"Do you think your reinforcements might run into a tsunami on the way?" Ximen Wudi smiled faintly, his eyes full of clarity and candor: "This kind of petty trick might work on ordinary people, but unfortunately, the one you ran into today is me."
